Too Rich for You, Mr. Ex!

"Rebecca, let's get divorced!" Zachary Adams gripped Rebecca Harper's throat, glaring at her in rage, "How dare you push Danielle down the stairs, you psycho!"
"I really didn't push Danielle - she fell on her own!" Rebecca explained, her face pale, blood trickling down her temple, still reeling from the terrifying fall.
When she heard Zachary wanted to divorce her over Danielle, her whole body trembled in disbelief!
"Stop making excuses. I know you hate Dannie the most!" Zachary tightened his grip, as if threatening to make Rebecca pay with her life if anything happened to Danielle.
As Zachary condemned her without question, Rebecca closed her eyes in despair, a hot tear rolling down her cheek.
Just moments ago, Rebecca had vaguely felt Danielle trip her, sending her tumbling down the stairs! Then Danielle fell right after...
Even though they both fell down the stairs, her husband of many years rushed straight to Danielle, and even accused her of pushing Danielle!
"Don't be mad at Becky, I don't think she meant to push me..." Danielle Rogers showed no obvious injuries, yet she leaned in weakly, whimpering, "Zach, it hurts so much..."
"It's okay, sweetheart. I'm right here and I've called an ambulance," Zachary soothed, abandoning Rebecca to cradle Danielle's hand. The tenderness in his eyes was like a knife to Rebecca's heart.
Biting her lip to keep from crying, Rebecca caught sight of Danielle's triumphant smirk.
She understood now - this was all Danielle's setup! Danielle was framing her!
"Zachary, I didn't push her - she's framing me!" Rebecca desperately grabbed Zachary's clothes, trying to explain herself.
"Enough! Who would believe your lies?" Zachary shoved her away mercilessly.
Rebecca sat there, stunned and disheveled. She watched as her husband carefully lifted Danielle onto a stretcher.
No one cared about Rebecca's pain. It was as if the whole world had forgotten her.
How ironic - the husband she had loved for so many years didn't care about her at all.
Seven years of loving Zachary. Three years of marriage.
Three years before, she'd been over the moon at the prospect of becoming Mrs. Adams. But reality had been a harsh wake-up call. Zachary had only married her because his mother refused to let Danielle into their family. Rebecca was nothing more than a pawn in their game.
What Zachary didn't know was that the Harpers had never approved of him. Rebecca had defied her family, even giving up her status as the heiress of the wealthiest family, the Harper family, all for his sake.
Now, as her world crumbled around her, Rebecca couldn't help but wonder: after years of love and sacrifice, had it all been worth it?
Two hours later, Rebecca sat in an exam room at Montra City Hospital, her eyes hollow and vacant, like a lifeless marionette. The doctor had treated her injuries, which thankfully weren't severe. As she got dressed, her fingers brushed against the scar on her lower back, and a bitter smile crossed her face.
Back then, when Zachary was kidnapped, she tried to save him and got stabbed by the kidnappers - she nearly died! She loved him so much that she was willing to risk her life for him! But he...
Suddenly, the door burst open. Zachary stormed in, roughly grabbing her wrist. "Rebecca, there you are. Come with me. Now."
"Let go of me! Where are you taking me?" Rebecca struggled desperately.
He kept his grip on her, dragging her outside without a word. Her ankle was still hurting, and being forced along like this made her wince in pain repeatedly.
"To apologize to Dannie," Zachary said coldly, his eyes narrowed. "Her room's nearby, and she's really upset."
Rebecca froze, staring at him in disbelief. This was absurd! Danielle was upset, so she had to apologize? He always put Danielle first, constantly making Rebecca the bad one. Was she really that worthless to him?
"I told you. I didn't push her!" Rebecca's eyes stung with unshed tears. "I fell too. I'm hurt—"
It felt like someone had stabbed her heart with a dagger, tearing it to shreds.
"You pushed her," Zachary cut her off. "Whatever injuries you have, you brought on yourself."
He gripped her wrist tightly, his eyes growing more fierce.
For a split second, Zachary's resolve wavered at the pain in Rebecca's eyes. But he quickly steeled himself. Danielle had almost been killed trying to save him - the kidnappers nearly stabbed her to death! He owed Danielle his life. She was the one who deserved his concern, not a vicious woman like Rebecca.
"Stop playing the victim and apologize to Dannie!" he ordered, disgust evident in his voice.
"Enough!" Rebecca finally snapped. Before she realized what she was doing, her hand struck Zachary's cheek with a resounding slap. Years of pain and resentment poured out in that single action.
"Zachary, I was blind to love you for so long. But I'm done. I want a divorce!"
