The Alpha Triplets’ Possession
Sansa’s POV
It all started at midnight. I was awoken from my sleep by a loud noise outside. I sat up only to realize I wasn’t the only one who heard it. The other girls in my room had cuddled each other in fear that our pack had been attacked. They weren’t stupid to think that was what happened.
I also sat there, worried and scared. I was only an omega slave and if it was true that we were being attacked, I might just be taken to somewhere worse.
“Alpha Greene Starr is dead!” I heard thirty minutes later. “An assassin snuck into his room, broke the necks of the three guards on duty and stabbed him multiple times. His reign is over and one of the Alpha triplets will rule now.”
Panic spread among us but we weren’t alone in our plight. It was the same all over the pack. Late Alpha Greene had led the pack for several decades and he fathered three male pups in his lifetime, the Alpha triplets.
Robin, Clarke, and Benzo.

“Where is Sansa?” Abby, the butler asked. Abby was quite an old woman. She was a woman proud of her achievements and she always made sure to remind us how she spent ten years as a wash-girl, her next fifteen years as a maid, and the next forty-five years as a butler. It was a thing to be proud of, climbing up the ladder by your skill.
But Abby was never known to be pleasant. She must have been nasty all her life.
“Which Sansa?” another maid answered before I could.
“The dark-haired bitch!” Abby exclaimed.
“Hey, it’s you,” the maid chuckled, trying her best to keep her gaze at me. I stood up and walked to Abby who scanned me from head to toe as if I had done something awful.
“Weren’t you in charge of making the soup?” Abby asked sharply.
“No, you changed my schedule yesterday. You wanted me to wash the dirty clothes instead and I have done that this morning…” I replied confidently.
“Really?” Abby asked, looking like a little girl robbed of her candy.
“Of course!” I replied.
“How about you grab a whip and use it on me? How dare you shout at me!” Abby’s mood changed within a second. It dawned on me that she was trying to provoke me.
“I was simply trying to…” I paused seeing a smirk on Abby’s face.
“Continue!” Abby replied maliciously. “I never knew you had become so prideful that you now argue with me.”
I didn’t respond. A word from me would be playing right into her trap.
“Oh, you have refused to reply to me? I am not worth your energy and time, is that it?” Abby asked again. Trust me, I was tired by this time. It took all the restraint I could muster to not shout at her.
“I am sorry. I will mind my words and actions from now on,” I bowed respectfully.
“Don’t bother…” Abby smiled. “You have gone against the code of conduct and you’ll be duly punished.”
“Please, I’m really sorry,” I tried again. Abby was really picking on me for no reason.
“But since you apologized quickly, I will just give you an extra duty and get this done with,” Abby moved closer to me. “You know Lina, don’t you?”
Of course, everyone did. Lina was of a higher breed in the past. Her father used to be an elder until his death. His son, instead of following his father’s legacy, got involved in selling people as slaves to other packs. When he was found out, he was to be executed until Lina stepped up. She wouldn’t allow the heir to their family die and right there, she traded her life as a highborn for the life of her elder brother.
“Hey!” Abby tapped me.
“I know Lina,” I replied.
“She is among the maids supposed to prepare for the great meeting at Lighthouse hall. Your punishment is to take her place. She has a headache so she will be unable to make it,” Abby replied. From the way she said it, I could denote she made it sound like a request.
“But…” I paused, no, I stopped. The great meeting was to determine the successor and everyone knew how dangerous it could be. All three brothers were potential Alphas and whomever was chosen, it was highly likely for a rebellion to hold there and then. Maids around would be victims of circumstances and would probably lose their lives in such a bloody clash.
“It’s an order,” Abby added before leaving. I remained there, staring at my blank future. I hated living as a maid enough but Abby even wished me dead. As I went for the task, I sighted lucky Lina smiling as she watched me leave. She wouldn’t be dying today.
The maids all stood in their position. I was quite near the chairs and it meant quicker death if one of the triplets chose to take power forcefully. The elders came in first while the Beta entered as well. The first of the triplets, Robin Starr, entered next. He was the most popular of the triplets and the closest to the late Alpha. Robin served as his father’s mouthpiece several times and most people had marked him as the heir already. He came in with two fully armed bodyguards. He had a polite smile on his face and one could tell how confident he was.
Next up was Clarke Starr, the second of the triplets. He was rarely seen around and this would be the second time I would see him. The first time was from faraway too. According to rumors, he chose not to live in the Alpha’s Manor. Instead, he travelled far and wide. He dressed simply and had no bodyguards. He looked so simple but everyone knew he had powerful foreign friends in different packs. He didn’t travel around just for naught.
Lastly, Benzo Starr, the third of the triplets entered. He was in full armor and he had eight bodyguards with him. Benzo was known as a military man and he lived up to it today. It was no rumor that he controlled a major part of the army. If someone wanted to stage a rebellion, the most likely would be Benzo.
“I am late, aren’t I?” Benzo asked, laughing loudly. That felt off. His father just died, you know.
“It’s fine,” the Beta chirped in. “Have your seat and let’s start the great meeting.”
“The meeting will be held…” Benzo muttered as he moved closer to the Beta with his sword in hand. Everyone was on high alert. I took a deep breath, saying the famous words “death, not today”.
“Be careful, Prince Benzo. That sword…” the Beta took a deep breath. I could see fear written all over his face.
“You look so scared. Why did father pick such a weakling as his Beta?” Benzo asked angrily. The question was actually rhetoric but Robin wasn’t having it.
“Father made that choice because everything isn’t about violence, you asshole!” Robin shouted angrily. I could tell he did this to prove a point.
“Or really?” Benzo laughed. “I thought we used to think alike, Robin. You believe in shit about power residing in knowledge, huh? Who taught you that shit, bro?”
Before one could say ‘cheese’, Benzo stabbed the Beta with a knife. Everyone gasped. Robin’s bodyguards tried unsheathing their swords but Benzo’s men took over. He had more men actually.
One of the maids panicked and tried to run away. One of Benzo’s men stopped her and cut her down immediately.
Death. I had begun to shake but I didn’t move.
“Stop this madness!” Clarke, who hadn’t made a single sound before, stood up.
Benzo let the lifeless body of the Beta fall as he closed in on Clarke with the bloody knife still in his hand.
“You had something to say, Prince Clarke?” Benzo asked. It was a threat, his voice said so.
