Maya's POV

In the midst of the dense forest protecting the Black Moon Pack, a strong and united wolf community, I, Maya, was known for my kindness and bravery. However, within my heart, there was a battle raging—my love for Daniel, my partner who was struggling against cancer. For months, Daniel had been undergoing exhausting treatment, and each day, I witnessed his deepening frailty.

I had loved Daniel since we were teenagers. We grew up together, sharing dreams and hopes. However, when Daniel was diagnosed with cancer, our world turned upside down. When I heard that the only hope to save Daniel's life was a kidney transplant, the decision came swiftly.

"I will donate my kidney," I said confidently, even though my heart trembled.

"I can't imagine living without you."

The operation took place at a nearby hospital, and as I woke up, the pain in my body felt proportional to the hope shining in my eyes. Daniel smiled at me, but behind that smile was a painful uncertainty.

"Thank you, Maya. You saved me," he said, but I sensed something missing in his tone.

I tried to ignore that feeling, reassuring myself that our love was strong enough to overcome any obstacle.

After a few weeks of recovery, I began to sense something strange in our relationship. Daniel seemed to spend more time with Lisa, his first love who had suddenly reappeared. Lisa was charming and charismatic, and every time I saw them together, my heart shattered. I tried to remain positive, but when I saw Daniel and Lisa chatting in the yard, I felt the distance between us widening.

One night, as I returned from the hospital, I received a shocking phone call. The voice on the other end was Lisa.

"Maya, I need to talk about Daniel. He's feeling stressed," she said in a tone that sounded insincere. I felt anxious and tried to call Daniel, but he didn't answer.

The next day, I decided to visit Daniel's house. When I arrived, the door was open and I found the house empty. My heart raced, and as I turned around, someone grabbed me from behind. In an instant, the world went dark. I woke up in a dark room, trapped with no hope.

In that darkness, Lisa's voice filled the air.

"Welcome, Maya. You've stolen Daniel's heart, and now it's time for you to feel the consequences," she said mockingly.

I felt shocked and confused. "What do you want from me?" I asked, my voice trembling.

Lisa just laughed derisively. "You think all your sacrifices will be appreciated? He doesn't love you, Maya. He only feels trapped because you donated your kidney."

Every word out of Lisa's mouth seemed to gnaw at my soul. I tried to explain, but all my efforts were in vain. Lisa wouldn’t listen.

After several days trapped in darkness, I felt a strength rising within me to fight back. I began planning my escape, determined to return to Daniel and explain everything. However, when I successfully escaped and arrived at Daniel's house, I found something even more painful.

Daniel was sitting on the porch, talking with Lisa. Seeing them together tore my heart apart.

I ran toward them, "Daniel! I'm back! I didn't leave you!" I shouted, my voice full of emotion. Daniel turned, but his face looked confused.

Lisa quickly interjected, "She just wants to take over your life! You have to trust me!" In an instant, I felt that all my sacrifices and struggles might be in vain. I didn't know if Daniel still loved me or if he was caught in the web of lies spun by Lisa.

In that tense moment, I realized that our true love was at stake. I had to fight harder to prove that my sacrifices were not in vain and to win back Daniel’s love, which now hung in the balance. My courage and perseverance would be tested, and I knew I couldn't give up. I had to find a way to reveal the truth, despite the many obstacles in my path.

However, every time I tried to get close to Daniel, Lisa was always there to block me. Lisa thwarted every step I took, making me feel trapped in an unfair game. With cunning and resilience, I tried to stay focused on my goal to win back Daniel’s love and reveal the truth.

I peeked in, hearing Lisa reveal all the lies about me.

"You don't need to worry, Daniel. I'll always be here for you. Maya just wants your attention. She doesn't love you like I do," Lisa said, her voice soft but full of manipulation.

"Daniel, I need to talk to you," I said, my voice full of emotion.

Lisa immediately interrupted, "She's just trying to disturb us, Daniel. You know who she is."

But I wouldn't give up.

"Daniel, listen to me! I don't want to interfere in your life. I just want you to know the truth. Lisa doesn't love you like you think she does!"

My voice trembled, but I tried hard to stay calm.

Daniel looked confused, and Lisa displayed her manipulative smile.

"Maya, you're just seeking attention. I know you want to get back with me, but that's never going to happen. Daniel has chosen me," she said, her voice dripping with mockery.
