Introduction
She doesn’t know her name. She doesn’t remember her past. All she knows is pain. In a secret underground facility, a silver-blooded girl known only as Project Zero endures relentless torture from merciless doctors and a woman who seems to hate her without reason. With no memory of her origins, no wolf to call her own, and no one to protect her—Zero begins to lose hope. Until one voice reminds her she’s not alone. Synn, a fellow prisoner and the Alpha’s sister of the powerful Black Forest Pack, tells Zero that she is a werewolf—with a pack, a family, and a destined mate waiting for her. But how could that be, when she doesn’t even have a wolf soul? As Zero clings to the whispers of forgotten dreams and the nightly vision of a mysterious man, fate begins to move. Meanwhile, miles away, Alpha Titus rages over his missing sister and the disturbing dreams of a crying woman begging for help. Haunted by the face of a stranger he can’t forget and driven mad by his wolf's yearning for their mate, Titus fights the bond pulling at his soul. But Titus has made a choice: reject destiny and crown a woman he doesn’t love as his Luna—believing love is weakness. Only fate—and the Moon Goddess—can decide if they’ll find each other before it’s too late. Because Zero isn’t just a girl. She’s the key to a truth that could destroy them all.

Chapter 1

Third Person POV

"Ahhhhhhh! Ahhhhh!" The girl screamed in pain. Her tears kept falling over and over as the mad doctors sliced lengthwise into the skin on her knee. They seemed to enjoy what they were doing, while she suffered. They didn’t even bother injecting her with anesthesia to numb the pain.

Silver-colored blood dripped from the wound the doctors had made. Every time they saw it, they were amazed at what her body could do.

"Keep going. Make her suffer. Don’t let her regain her strength," ordered the woman standing nearby.

She smirked while the girl writhed in agony. In her mind, she was exhausted, but something inside her commanded her to survive—to find out who she really was.

"Are you enjoying your daily routine, Project Zero?" the woman beside her asked maliciously.

The girl didn’t understand why they were doing this to her. She had done nothing wrong. Or had she? She shook her head and pleaded once again.

"Please, stop this! Ahhh!" she cried as the mad doctors started slicing her hands.

She couldn’t move—her hands and feet were tightly bound to the cold metal table.

All she could do was scream, groan, and cry.

"Don't you dare order me around!" the woman snapped. "I’ll make you suffer for as long as I want! We will study you whenever we please!"

The girl could see the fury in her captor’s eyes—eyes filled with hatred and rage that seemed directed solely at her.

What had she done to this woman? Why was she being tortured like this?

"You’ll regret ever existing in this world!" the woman shouted, nodding to the doctors.

The girl’s eyes widened when she saw another syringe filled with a chemical designed to weaken her entire system.

Wolf’s Bane.

She struggled violently as they prepared to inject her.

She screamed in pain when the needle pierced her skin. She knew the chemical was coursing through her veins. Tears streamed down her face as she weakly looked around at her captors.

Her vision blurred—a sign that the Wolf’s Bane had taken effect.

"Take her back to her cell," the woman ordered.

"Get some rest, my dear Zero. Tomorrow is another day of torture," she whispered in the girl's ear.

The doctors unfastened the metal restraints and carried her away.

Her mind drifted, her body completely drained. She heard the sound of her cell door opening before she was roughly thrown inside.

A loud thud echoed as she landed on the floor.

They had no mercy. No sympathy.

She crawled toward the corner of her cell.

Curling up against the cold wall, she looked up at the small sliver of light that managed to seep into her prison.

"Did they torture you again, Zero?"

She turned her head toward the voice.

It was the only person she could call a friend in this hellhole.

Like her, she was also a prisoner of these cruel people. But among all the captives, she was their favorite toy.

"I don’t know, Synn, but it feels like I’m their target every single day," she answered weakly.

A pang of jealousy hit her when she said her name.

Everyone here had names.

She didn’t even remember hers.

"Stay strong, Zero. Remember what I told you? You are a werewolf. You have a pack, a family, and a mate who is looking for you," Synn reminded her.

Yeah, a werewolf without a wolf soul, she thought.

Her friend had once told her that every werewolf had a destined mate—someone meant to love and protect them.

She had dreamed of that moment since the day she woke up in this place. The hope that, once she escaped, someone would take care of her and keep her safe kept her going.

She couldn’t remember anything about her past—no name, no family.

The only thing that gave her hope was the dream she had every night—a vision of a certain man.

She smiled at the thought.

Maybe he was the one destined for her, just as Synn had said.

"Don’t worry, Zero. When my brother comes to rescue me, I’ll take you with me. You are my best friend, even if we haven’t known each other for long. I know you’re a good person," Synn said from the cell beside her.

Like her, she was in tattered clothes.

Both of them were barely skin and bones due to the relentless torture and starvation.

Synn had told her that her brother was an Alpha—a powerful werewolf leading a pack. The pack was a community of wolves living under the protection of an Alpha, with a Beta as her second-in-command.

"Thank you, Synn. Even though you barely know me, you trust me," she said sincerely.

She closed her eyes, exhausted from the day’s suffering.

A wave of pity washed over her—for herself.

She was the only werewolf here without a wolf soul.

She didn’t understand why she was even born as a werewolf if she didn’t have a wolf.

Synn had once told her that he could smell her werewolf scent, but he couldn’t see her wolf soul.

She desperately wished she could escape this nightmare, find out who she was, and understand why her wolf was missing.

Something was incomplete inside her.

She hoped that one day, when she found her mate, that missing piece would finally be filled.

Staring at the ceiling of her prison, she slowly closed her eyes.

As sleep took over, she whispered a silent prayer—that she and the others would one day escape.

Just before unconsciousness claimed her, she heard Synn’s voice.

"The Moon Goddess will help us, Zero. She will help us."

Meanwhile, in the Black Forest Pack…

The pack members were preparing to search for their Alpha’s missing sister.

Their Alpha was furious, pacing inside his office with his Beta standing before him.

"Alpha, the scent leads us to hunters," the Beta reported with his head bowed.

The man sitting in his swivel chair looked at his Beta emotionlessly.

"Find my sister as soon as possible. She’s been missing for months. Don’t come back here until you find her!" he ordered, slamming his hands on the mahogany table.

The Beta flinched at his Alpha’s tone.

"Kill every hunter you see! I don’t care if you have to turn other territories upside down—just find her!" The Alpha’s voice was filled with rage.

The Beta bowed and left immediately.

Once alone, the Alpha exhaled deeply.

These past months had been stressful due to constant hunter attacks. His only sister had been taken, and he had since tightened security at their borders.

But what irritated him the most was his restless wolf.

Every night, an image haunted his mind—a woman crying, begging for his help.

He had even destroyed chairs and tables in frustration, but he couldn’t understand why this vision plagued him.

Because of his volatile emotions, his pack members avoided him.

But some were just too stubborn.

Like the woman who barged into his office without knocking.

"Hi, babe," she greeted, pecking his lips.

The Alpha obliged, but his wolf recoiled in disgust.

His wolf didn’t want any woman except his true mate.

"Stop screwing around! Our mate is waiting for us!" his wolf growled in his mind.

But the Alpha shut down their mind link and continued kissing the woman.

He didn’t want a mate.

He didn’t want a weakness.

So he planned to make this woman his Luna—even though he knew she wasn’t his mate.

At least this way, he wouldn’t risk becoming weak from love.

Even if she was a gold digger and a social climber, it was better than falling into the trap of emotions.

His wolf, however, refused to accept it.

"You’ll regret this, Titus. If you reject our mate, you will never see me again!"

Titus sighed as the woman straddled him.

"Headache, baby? Let me take care of that," she purred seductively.

She kissed him, but he stopped when an image flashed in his mind.

A beautiful woman with long hair and mysterious eyes.

The same woman who haunted his dreams.

His wolf growled.

"She’s beautiful, and I will only love her—not your slut."
