"I love you," I whispered into Everest's ear as we cuddled in my bed. This was our routine whenever we had a day off from school. We've been together for a year now. It's been two years since Samantha left, but she still holds a place in my heart. That will never change, even if I get married and have children; her memories will stay.

"I love you too, and I will never leave you." Everest smiled and hugged me tightly. I gently kissed her, and then we made love. She's my first, and I hope she'll be my last. I pray for that.

Everest had just gotten home, and I already missed her. Aside from Sam, she's the only woman I've ever truly loved. She's so simple yet so sexy, but also so innocent. I took a shower and then went to the kitchen to cook dinner. Manang Ange was on a three-day leave, and she wouldn't be back until tomorrow.

Since I started dating Everest, I decided to keep all of Samantha's pictures hidden in my secret room, a room only Manang Ange and I could access. It would be awkward if Everest saw Sam's pictures in the house, wouldn't it?

I still needed to finish all the paperwork and send it to Dad. I also had to visit Don Roman to ask him if they had any leads on Samantha's murderer from three years ago. Even as a Mafia Boss, finding my girlfriend's killer was difficult. Unless it was someone else, then we'd have them in custody within an hour.

"You look so happy, Ija." Manang Cossette said as I entered the house. Ynna gave me a sly look. I just ignored her. She was still bitter because her boyfriend had left her.

"Mama, you're home! It took you so long. I thought we were going to watch movies tonight." He's my son, not by blood, but I consider him my own. His name is Gabriel, the son of my mom's best friend, who was just vacationing with us. Unfortunately, my parents and Gabriel's parents were brutally murdered. Thankfully, Manang Ange took Gabriel to the mall that night to buy dinner supplies.

"Sorry, Gab Gab. Mama had a lot to do at school, that's why I'm late. Did you drink your vitamins? Don't eat too much candy, okay." I smiled and ruffled his hair. He frowned at me for messing up his hair.

Another day, another school day. After showering, I went straight to the kitchen. There, I saw Ynna with her brows furrowed, clearly still not over her heartbreak.

"You're so slow. Let's eat, we're already late. I'm sure our professor will be mad again, and it's all because of you, Everest!"

I sighed, then gently tapped Ynna's shoulder. Then jokingly whispered in her ears ''You need to move on, Ynna. Because you always get angry.'' Her eyes widened, and then she stood up and walked away.

And after Ynna walked out, I talked to Manang Ange and hurriedly went straight to my car. And there I saw Ynna standing outside my car while waiting for me.

"Manang, don't forget to change Gab Gab's clothes after his online school, okay? Then make sure he takes his vitamins." I told Manang Cossette. Gab Gab sweats a lot, even with the air conditioning on. That's why we always carry Johnson's baby powder with us.

We've arrived at Dankworth University, and guess who's waiting for me at the entrance? My one and only, Clarke Dankworth, is looking as handsome as ever. Almost all the students here are angry with me, and with Ynna. I remember when Clarke and I first dated, almost all the girls in Dankworth chased me and Ynna with paintball guns. My thoughts suddenly disappeared when I felt someone hug my waist.

"Why are you so happy thinking about something deep while smiling?" Oh! Oh! I could feel a little jealousy in his voice.

"No, I was just remembering the time Ynna and I were being chased by all the students here at your school. And how you saved us. You were so sweet that time, and you became my Knight and Shining Armor." After I said that, I heard Clarke chuckle.

"Stop it already, you two. It's so gross!" Ynna said, still clearly bitter. I told Manang Cossette to stop cooking bitter melon for now, so Ynna's bitterness wouldn't get any worse.

Lance and Jax suddenly ran towards us. Jax immediately put his arm around Ynna, which made her annoyed.

"Hi, beautiful lady, will you be my lady?" We all heard Jax's cheesy pickup line.

Ynna immediately removed Jax's arm from around her and lightly smacked him on the head. "Will you be my lady, huh? Stop it, Jax! If I lose my temper, you'll get more than just a smack. I'll give you purple makeup around both your eyes." She threatened him, but Jax just laughed. Ynna is a smart lady who knows everything about bombs and how to defuse them. That's not all she can do; she's incredibly skilled in many other ways.

"Come on, I'm just being affectionate. It's Saturday tomorrow, and we don't have school. You know I will miss you quickly Ynna. Even ask these two." He pointed at Lance and Clarke, which made them frown.

"Oh, Jax! Don't even try that line, it's so old." Clarke, Lance, and I all laughed. Except Ynna.

"Jax! Do you really like Ynna?" asked Lance along the steps between Ynna and Jax.

Clarke and I followed behind them as we walked hand in hand. Then I saw Ynna not in the mood while looking at Jax.

"Yes! " Yes, I like Ynna a lot," said Jax, who was obviously in love with the tone of his voice. Lance's eyes widened in surprise at what Jax said.

"Stop laughing at him. That's how Jax is when he likes a woman. He's being stupid.'' Clarke and I were thinking the same thing, so we both laughed. He's my boyfriend.

Clarke gently grabbed my hand and kissed my cheek. "Let's go to our classroom," I nodded to him. He smiled at me, which made my heart beat faster.
