Introduction
Blurb "You're such a magnet for trouble, but given your loud mouth, I am sure that you can't help it," he said, then shook his head. I blinked. "Excuse me, I'll have you know that I didn't say a word to him, so mind your business, fool." "I find that hard to believe, because I have witnessed your loud mouth and the crassness that comes out of it, and I pity the man who would be unfortunate enough to end up with you." I felt a sharp sting, and my eyes watered. I gripped the edge of the table, swaying. I felt his hands on me, holding me upright. Then it happened; I saw him biting my neck, and then he called me mate. This arrogant man who had just insulted me at the club was my mate. Alina Lance is a twenty-five-year-old accomplished doctor who had to leave her pack and step down from competing for the Alpha position because of her narcissistic and imposing brother when she was twenty. She vows never to have anything to do with any man who tries to have any control over her. But the moon goddess has another plan as she makes the headstrong Lycan crown prince, Alaric Storm, her mate. What will happen to this chaotic combination that the moon goddess has paired? Will she give love a chance, or will she reject him? And even if they fall headlessly in love with each other, how would they mate, as Alina is wolf-less? Find out in The Lycan and His Hybrid, book one of the Pure series.

Prologue

The Moon festival was in full swing; everyone was dressed in their best attire, and dancing. She waited until Kish went into his office before she followed him, holding the baby tightly.

She almost ran into someone, but pulled back immediately, hitting her arm against a pole and hissing from pain. When she removed her hand, she noticed that the wound there was bleeding again.

She pushed the door open, and there he raised his head from whatever he was doing.

"Lena, where have you been?" he said, then stood up, but then his eyes zeroed in on the blood on her clothes and the wound in her hand. He tried to grab her, but she pushed back.

"What happened? Why is there so much blood?"

She pushed the baby into his hand and then kissed her on the forehead.

"Listen, Robin, I don't have time; they found our coven, and many are wounded. I need to go back, but you must promise to take care of her."

He grabbed her hand. "No, Lena, stay here; our baby needs you."

She pulled out of his hold. "Listen to me, they will never stop looking for me because they know how powerful I am, but they do not know about her, so promise me to take care of her. Her powers are locked, so this is her chance at a normal life until the right time, so promise me that you will protect her until your last breath."

He nodded. "Of course, she is my daughter; no harm will ever befall her, but what about you? You are wounded, Lena. Please, let's get you treated for my sake. "

She pressed a kiss on his lips. "I can't stay, Robin; if they find me here, you, your pack, and our daughter will be slaughtered. Goodbye, Robin, I love you," She said then disappeared into the night.

"I love you too," he whispered, then pressed a kiss to the head of their sleeping daughter.
