Harley.

"Congratulations dear, you are two weeks gone," the pack doctor announced to me, and my heart skipped a beat in happiness.

"Really?" I asked, beaming at him, and he nodded, with a smile.

"Thank you so much." I appreciated, taking out a few coins to pay him, but he politely refused and sent me off.

On my way home, I placed my hand on my stomach, knowing Logan would be just as pleased to hear this, but first we had to celebrate.

I made my way to the town's little store to get some ingredients and foodstuffs with the last change I had with me. This was supposed to last us a week till I got paid from work, but I was using it all now, and it was worth it.

"Good afternoon, miss Ella." I greeted the kind-hearted storekeeper who waved at me.

"How are you today?" She questioned.

"Fine and you?" I inquired and she replied she was fine. I went ahead and grabbed the things I needed, then brought them into her presence.

She helped me pack them as we discussed stuff.

"You seem overly happy today." She pointed out and I grinned at her.

"I just found out big news that would change our lives for sure." I told her, referring to Logan and I, but not telling her the main cause of my happiness, because I wanted Logan to be the first to know.

"Speaking of our lives? "Where is Logan?" Miss Ella asked, and I just shrugged, putting on a weak smile and knowing where this was heading to.

"Probably at home or out and something." I replied and she sighed.

"You really should tell him to get a job so he can help you with all this. "He can't be a man and just be lying around, doing nothing." Miss Ella criticized, and I clenched my fists, feeling pissed but not saying anything till.

"Please don't say that about him, miss Ella. "He is also trying his best. The words came out of my mouth before I could stop them, as I could feel heat rising in my face.

Miss Ella froze and gave me a look that I couldn't identify before shrugging. I wanted to pay her, when she stopped me with a wink and that made my heart ping from guilt.

"Take it as a “Thank You” gesture for helping me all this while." I leaned over and gave her a peck before bursting out of the store and heading home.

As I was so close to our house, I brought out the silver ring wrapped in a handkerchief to admire. It was nothing much and looked pale, but all that mattered was the heart, right?

Today was also our one-year anniversary, the day the moon goddess brought him into my life, so I wanted to give him this as a token.

It was exactly this time, while I was walking across the border of our pack, that I saw him. Logan, lying naked and unconscious.

I immediately saved him, and when he awoke, he had no memories of who he was and where he came from. Despite it being dangerous and everyone advising me against it, I still took him.

The next day, which turned out to be the full moon, we discovered we were mates and fell in love naturally. Ever since then, he became my everything and only family who showed me so much care.

Though there were times he told me harsh words and treated me badly, I still understood him.

He seemed to be from a wealthy family who couldn't even take care of his own gear, so living such a life with me must be so unbearable.

But he was willing to endure, all because he loved me, and I was more than grateful for that.

"Logan." I squeaked as I burst into our home but met everywhere dead silent. I blinked, my palms feeling sweaty as I walked into the small space.

'Where was he?' I pondered, going from the room to the bathroom, then the kitchen and backyard, but saw absolutely no one

My heart started to beat faster, and I ran out of the house, calling his name.

'Maybe he was in the woods, fetching firewood?' I thought, trying to calm myself, but when I got there, I saw no one either.

I began to ask around for him, seeing everyone was looking at me with pity in their eyes, but I didn't care, I just wanted Logan.

After searching and almost collapsing in exhaustion, I decided to go home and wait for him. His things were still intact, so he didn't run.

'Perhaps he went to look for a job and wants to keep it as good news?' I suggested it to myself.

"Meaning we would have two bundles of news." I told myself as I entered the kitchen to see it all messy. I didn't even notice earlier because I was searching for him.

I let out a groan, feeling a headache immediately as I knew I had to clean all these up and make his dinner before he returned. He would be starving.

I got to work and an hour later, the table was set and night was setting in. Logan was still not back, and I couldn't eat without him here, no matter how my stomach was rumbling and hurting.

"Where are you, Logan? "Please be safe." I trembled, wrapping my hands around my body as the cold air creeped in from outside, through the open window.

I was about to get up to close it when the door burst open and Logan walked in with a joyous expression.

"Logan." I yelped as I left the window and jumped into his arms, hugging him tightly, a sigh of relief escaping my lips.

He froze, not returning the hug for some seconds, before moving me away from him.

"I remember Harley, I remember everything now, I know who I am." He told me everything in one sentence as I tried to take them in.

Realization flashed through me and I immediately kissed him, missing a gasp that escaped his lips.

"Oh bless the moongoddess! But how did y...?" I had barely completed my question as I released his lips.

"Logan, who is she?" I heard a soft, unfamiliar female voice and looked behind Logan only to see someone in a black clock and hat covering her face walking in.

I took a step backwards as she moved closer to Logan and entwined their hands.

I furrowed my eyebrows at her, wondering who she was when she dropped her hat and my lips parted in awe as I stared at the most beautiful face ever.

It was fresh and without blemishes. Long, golden hair, rare red lips, cherry red lips that looked so tempting that she took her lower lips in her mouth.

She nudged Logan on her shoulder, and he turned to look at her with so much warmth and love in his eyes, a look he had never shown me before, or was I hallucinating it?

My heart squeezed tightly in pain as the surrounding air suddenly turned suffocating.

"Easy Harley, you might not have seen clearly."

"Who is she, Logan?" I asked gently, disrupting the moment of stare between them.

Logan turned to glare at me, flaring his nose in annoyance as a lump formed in my throat.

'What did I do wrong?' I pondered, watching as the girl looked at me like I was some dirt, wrinkling her nose in disgust as she stared at my home.

"What is this trash hole, Logan? ""Don't tell me you stayed here." She frowned, and I gritted my teeth against one another.

"Excuse me, this is my house, and you will not be rude," I warned.

"Watch your mouth omega, you do not talk to my fiancée like that." Logan growled, and it felt like my whole world was collapsing.

'What did he just say and call me?'
