Introduction
"I'll help you become the woman you've always dreamed of being, Adele. I'll help you build a confidence so strong, no one will ever dare to bully you again." ***** When the school's top hockey player-the famous quiet bad boy every female students admired, approached me, a plump, bullied omega no one ever noticed, I was stunned. I rejected his offer, even though I had secretly admired him for the past two years since he transferred to our school. I was too scared. Scared of getting on princess Chloe's bad side, especially since she had her eyes on him too and has been parading herself as his girlfriend all over the school. But it wasn't long before I found myself crawling back to him, desperate to take the offer this time as I couldn't take the torments any longer. I knew this choice would cost me more than I imagined, but for the first time in my life, I was ready to fight for myself. To change my life and existence. Forever. And nothing was going to stop me now...

Chapter 1

Adele Wilson

My alarm blared loudly, snapping me out of my beautiful sleep, and back into the cruel world as soon as it was 5:30 A.M.

Here goes the start of another terrible day for me.

"Are you awake, darling? You are going to be late for school."

A smile stretched around my lips as my father's voice echoed outside my room, accompanied by his gentle knock on the door.

I rolled out of the bed, slipping my big feet into my flip flops. "I'll be there in a minute, father."

My heart stung with disappointment as I stood before the mirror, staring at my plump face.

You aren't expecting to lose weight overnight, are you?

My wolf, Astrid, giggled inside me, and I rolled my eyes.

Shut it, Astrid. You are not helping matters here.I scolded her, going into the bathroom.

I'm trying to cheer you up, you know?

She whispered.

I didn't say another word. Of course I knew she was the last person to bully me. We are one anyway.

After a quick shower, I got ready for the academy, leaving my room to go join my father in the dining room.

"Good morning, father."My face brightened with a smile as I pulled a chair across from him, my eyes locked on him. Did you sleep well?

Good morning, my princess. Yes, I slept well. Come on, let's eat.

I stared silently as he dished out my food. My father… the only person who loves me genuinely… my only friend, and the only one who doesn't bully me for my size.

It's your favourite. I'm sure you'll love it.

"Thank you, father.

Silence thickened around us as we ate.

Can I stay home today, father?

I said in my head, but didn't tell him.

Not that a day's absence will change anything anyway.

My life in Nightshade academy has been nothing but hell, and if my father didn't go through a hard time before the alpha gave me a scholarship to study there, I would've considered dropping out.

"Are you having a nice time at the academy? Are you making friends?"

His question stirred something inside me, and my eyes stung with tears, but I held them back.

I looked at him and smiled. "Hmm. I made a lot of friends, dad."I said, hoping he didn't notice the pain I was trying hard to hide with my fake smile.

He stared silently, then smiled and ruffled my hair playfully. I'm glad you are making friends, my daughter.

How could I have told him that I was being bullied at the academy? That the sight of me irritates every single werewolf there?

"Adele..."

"If it ever gets hard, you can always come home to me, alright?"

"Hmm. I'll be fine."I assured him, even though I was barely hanging on.

I left for the academy after breakfast.

At the academy…

My heart raced as I stood before the tall building, my fingers tightened beside me.

For a second, I considered going back, as if that was ever an option for me.

You've got this, Adele. You've been enduring this for way too long to give up now.I whispered, my voice shaky and lacked confidence.

My legs trembled beneath me as I dragged my tired limbs to my class, and the moment I walked in, all eyes turned to me.

I was used to those stares, so I ignored them and approached my seat, but froze as I was welcomed by the most annoying person I've ever had to deal with… Henry Fenrir, the alpha prince.

Holy shit! Not today, please.

"Look who is here?"A smirk tugged at the corner of his lips as he stood, tucking his hands in his pockets, his blue eyes piercing into mine.

You kept me waiting, fatty.

That's not my name, dickhead!I screamed in my head.

Aren't you going to apologise?

Heat crept up my chest, and I swallowed nothing as he pinched my cheek and chuckled… Yeah, it was fun for him, as always.

I'm sorry.I whispered, my voice barely audible.

That's more like it.He patted my cheek, then walked past me and said, "Come with me."

The drama coordinator wants to see the casts for the upcoming school drama."he added, not turning to look at me.

My eyes widened. Casts?"

My phone beeped inside my pocket, and I hesitantly reached for it, but froze once I saw the announcement in the school forum.

The academy was hosting its thirty year anniversary in a few weeks from now, and I, Adele Wilson, was chosen as the leading actress.

My grip tightened on my phone as I swallowed nothing. Is this another trap to bully me?

"Don't keep me waiting."Henry's voice cut through my thoughts before he left my sight.

I followed him hesitantly to the school ballroom.

A few students were already gathered there. Their eyes flared the moment they saw me.

The drama coordinator, professor Eric turned to me, his eyes roamed my body briefly, and back to my face.

"I wonder why Henry chose her."

He sighed.

I scoffed silently. So it was him?

I turned to him, and he smirked.

Why does he hate me this much? Why the hell does it bother him that I'm plump and ugly? Or was there another reason for this? Something I didn't know about?

"Here is the script. You should rehearse it."Mr Eric thrusted the script into my palm, then looked at me with a smile that didn't reach his eyes, and said, "Good luck, Adele. Youve got this."

He stepped out after giving a few instructions.

My heart twisted in my chest, and a tear slid down my cheek as I turned to Henry. "Why are you doing this, Henry?"

He leaned close, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. Because of that look in your eyes, Adele.

I blinked, my lips parted, but no words came out.

He straightened up and smiled, but I noticed something behind that smile. Was it bitterness? Boredom? I couldn't wrap my head around it.

It's fun to mess with you, Adele.

I clenched my fingers so tight that my knuckles turned white.

He's been tormenting me because he found it fun?

He wrapped an arm around my shoulder as he pulled me close without warning. "Everyone, let me introduce you to the leading actress of Nightshades upcoming drama. Adele Wilson."

The ballroom exploded with laughter… one that screamed just one word… mocking.

Tears blurred my vision, but I held it back. I won't let this bastard see me cry. I've been holding it in for years. I can do this.

My eyes swept around the ballroom, meeting Jason Wolffs sharp eyes.

He stood close to the wall, hands in his pockets, and eyes locked on me, as if he was watching me, just as always.

My heart skipped a beat.

Holy shit!

Jason Wolff was the son of the late Nightshade Pack's beta.

The Alpha adopted him after his father died. He'd been studying abroad for years, and only came back a few months back to join nightshade academy.

My cheeks burned with embarrassment, and heat caught in my throat.

I could've handled worse, but not Jason seeing me vulnerable and humiliated.

I had liked and admired Jason from afar for several months, but he never noticed me. How the fuck was he supposed to, when we are from different worlds?

While I was just an ordinary daughter of an omega packhouse guard, an ugly plump omega who was only here by the favor of Alpha Fenrir, Jason was the opposite.

He was the epitome of perfection. A top student, leader of the ice hockey team, and a cute young man who has every lady's panties dripping just at the sight of him.

I'm not making things up, I've heard a few girls say that a lot.

Even in the face of embarrassment, I still didn't fail to notice how hot he looked today. How he stood out in the crowd with the most perfect height, sexy physique, and fuck! Those honey-brown doe eyes. Those eyes that would have me undressing with just a glance. Jason looked like he'd been carved from sin itself. Perfect, hot, dangerous, and utterly unreachable.

'Oh, no, Adele. What do we do now? Jason is here'

My wolf crawled beneath my skin, burning with anger, yet did not dare to retaliate.

"Hey, Jason."

Then princess Chloe showed up, grinning from ear to ear as she walked over to Jason.

My grip tightened on the script as I watched her cling to Jason, arms wrapped around him, as if she owned him.

Chloe wasn't just the alpha's daughter, but the leader of the figure skating team, and Jason's wannabe girlfriend. She parades herself in the academy as Jason's girlfriend, but not many people know that they are not in a relationship.

"How about we practice one of the scenes here, hmm? It's a kiss scene. I bet you have never kissed a man before, right?"

Henry said, grabbing my hand as he turned me to face him.

"No man would want to kiss those heavy lips. But I'll help you have the experience."

'Slap this bastard!'

My wolf growled, almost silently, her voice lacking confidence... Even she knew that was a bad idea.

I held my breath, trying to control the burning rage inside me.

"Is he seriously going to kiss her? Ew!"

"Henry must be messing with her. I know he won't try to kiss that ugly thing."

I tried to free myself from Henry, but his grip remained firm as his laughter echoed in the ballroom.

Just when I was waiting for the worst to happen, a familiar voice tore through the loud laughters.

"We still have to practice, Henry. Let's go to the locker room."

Jason! It was Jason's voice.

The atmosphere thickened with silence, and Jason's footsteps echoed in the air as he stepped forward.

His eyes… I could swear on my life that I saw them flicker.

'Did Jason just helped us? He really saved us!'

Astrid's excited voice echoed in my ear, but I just rolled my eyes. Deep inside me, I knew that wasn't possible. Jason has never even spoken to me ever since we've been classmates. He never cared... So why would he save me?

Henry's eyes flashed with disappointment as he let go of my hand. "Let's say you are lucky today... See you around."

He winked at me, then ruffled my hair before walking out of the ballroom, not before throwing Jason a glare. I had no idea what happened, but that was definitely not a friendly glare.

"Let's go to the cafeteria before you go to the ice rink, Jason. My treat."

I raised my gaze as Chloe's voice brushed over my ears, and I saw her leaving with Jason.

But just as they reached the door, Jason paused and looked back at me over his shoulder... His eyes... cold and calculating... And I felt cold shivers run down my spine.

"What's that?" I whispered...
