Chapter 216 Say "Feed Me" Honestly

Tan Mu was a famous doctor around the world.

She even won international medical awards, including every major surgical award in her 10-year reign.

Moreover, she was highly appraised as a remarkable female doctor in the history of oriental medicine.

Pitifully, this respectable doctor only survived for thirty years.

And then she passed away, disappearing from the world forever.

And no sooner had her family been out of the public view.

Some argued that they had immigrated.

Others believed they moved to a small city within the nation understatedly.

The legend was forgotten when it no longer passed on by word of mouth.

So did Tan Mu, a prominent female doctor, an oriental legend.

Gu Baisheng looked at the picture of her attentively, which was at the top of the wall.

She sighed with pity at Tan Mu's young death.

What a beautiful and talented lady! How could she leave this world so soon?

It was pathetic.

If Tan Mu had been still alive, Gu Baisheng would have exerted her energy and managed to learn from her in Gangcheng.

Gu Baisheng stared at Tan Mu's photo without any move.

Until a quiet girl came along, Gu Baisheng was startled slightly by that girl and turned to her.

She was cool and delicate.

She was not a charming girl of humble birth but of chilly beauty.

Gu Baisheng looked at her.

The girl also turned to Gu Baisheng.

When they met eye to eye, Gu Baisheng noted surprisingly that she was similar to Gu Cheng, Mr. Gu whom Gu Baisheng visited just now in his ward.

It was heard that Gu Cheng had two daughters.

Was this lady one of them?

Gu Baisheng had a guess.

At that moment, the girl looked away from her.

The girl was followed by another gorgeous girl in a white dress. But there was almost no resemblance between their features.

That gorgeous girl kept asking the chilly beauty ceaselessly, "Sister, why don't we visit our dad?"

"He's in bad shape and doesn't want to see anyone."

"Then why did he summon you, not me?"

The gorgeous girl found it unfair.

The chilly beauty frowned. She turned to her and said, "He summoned me because of Gu Family. You'd better stop making yourself paranoid, Changle."

The girl named Changle curled her lips.

The chilly beauty said, "I will bring you to her later."

"Brilliant! I know you will!"

Changle hugged her sister's arm and entered the VIP elevator with her.

Gu Baisheng watched them away.

She thought it over.

The girl named Changle was supposed to be Gu Cheng's little daughter, Gu Changle.

And the girl who was able to see her father was ought to be the beloved Gu Changge of Gu Family.

What a coincidence! It was lucky of her to see them both.

But judging from Gu Cheng's complexion, he was in a poor state.

She was afraid that there was fraught with ambiguity even after the surgery.

If the situation was still bad, Gu Family might fall in turmoil for a while.

She wondered whether the quiet Miss Gu can master the vast Gu Family.

Whether she could handle it, however, it had nothing to do with Gu Baisheng.

She pondered on it for a while and turned to the wall again.

Gangcheng Hospital was the best hospital in Gangcheng.

There were many internationally known doctors.

They were always experienced and legendary.

Gu Baisheng peered for more than an hour without intention to leave.

But at that moment, Song Shuang tapped her on the shoulder.

Gu Baisheng turned to find he had finished his meeting.

She asked him in a smile, "Is the meeting over?"

"Yes," Song Shuang was in the white coat of Gangcheng Hospital with a nameplate on the chest.

Gu Baisheng was proud of "Song Shuang" printed on his nameplate somehow.

What an excellent man, and he was her husband.

Whoever his wife would be proud of this man.

Gu Baisheng giggled at Song Shuang's nameplate on his chest.

Song Shuang looked down at his chest, "What are you giggling at?"

"Nothing. There is no giggle."

She refused to admit it.

Song Shuang shook his head in a smile and did not find out why she was giggling.

When they were about to leave, three persons were out of the VIP lift.

They were Gu Changge of the Gu Family, gorgeous beauty Gu Changle, and talented doctor Shao Tianze.

The expressions on their faces were subtly different from each other.

Shao Tianze's vision followed the chilly Miss Gu Changge with a warm face.

Gu Changle would cast her eyes onto Shao Tianze once in a while, though she was talking with her sister.

Gu Baisheng found they were strange.

She asked Song Shuang in an undertone, "Gu Changle seemed to be strange."

"Why?"

Song Shuang did not get her ideas.

Gu Baisheng simply thought the three persons looked strange.

But she could not pinpoint the reasons, "Maybe I was wrong."

At the sight of this, Song Shuang meant to leave with her.

Gu Baisheng also looked away and followed Song Shuang to the ward areas.

There were few things to deal with on the first day in Gangcheng Hospital.

Song Shuang made himself understood. Gu Baisheng learned a lot of important knowledge from him.

Gu Baisheng was a talent in her devoted medical profession.

Song Shuang could not help smile, noting she was taking notes carefully. It seemed that she was still a hard-working undergraduate.

Gu Baisheng finished her notes. She happened to see Song Shuang's smile as soon as she lifted her head.

She was slightly confused, "What are you smiling at?"

"Nothing."

Song Shuang kept it a secret.

But intuition told her that he was laughing at her.

She frowned, "You are laughing at me, aren't you?"

"I haven't."

He denied.

But Gu Baisheng was sure he was.

She stared at her, "Then who you are laughing at?"

"A hard-working student maybe?"

Song Shuang could not help smiling at her.

Gu Baisheng realized what he meant and was about to hit Song Shuang's chest with her notebook.

But she hesitated for a moment and put her hand down seriously at the thought of the patient's family being there.

Instead, she glared at him angrily.

The arrival of Song Shuang was taken seriously by panels in the Gangcheng Hospital.

They held conference three times simply about Gu Cheng's surgery plan.

And then they polished the plan attentively twice.

Gu Cheng's condition was a matter of great concern to the whole hospital.

Moreover, Song Shuang adjusted his medication and treatment every day based on Gu Cheng's physical condition.

Undoubtedly, Shao Tianze paid more attention heartily to it.

Song Shuang was busy with Gu Cheng's surgery. It was a very tight schedule.

Gu Baisheng was concerned for him but could assist him little on work.

She could only make a delicious dinner to comfort him after work.

So Song Shuang found she was preparing soup with a rice cooker in the hotel suite. He took a shallow breath, "Rib soup with lotus roots again?"

"No. It is black chicken soup with longan and red date."

She added, "It can nourish yin and strengthen yang."

Nourish yin...

Strengthen yang...

Song Shuang thought it over. He was too busy, while she had more leisure time.

The soup she cooked could either nourish yin or strengthen yang.

Was she dissatisfied with their sexual life?

Song Shuang seriously reflected on it.

Gu Baisheng was unaware of his thought.

When the soup was ready, she filled a small bowl and partook of it.

She found it tasted good and filled another bowl for Song Shuang, “I think it's pretty good. Have a try.”

Song Shuang was about to deal with the patient's files brought back from the hospital.

He examined carefully every medical record of Gu Cheng.

He was too busy to catch the bowl Gu Baisheng gave him.

Gu Baisheng realized it. She ladled a spoonful of soup and gently blew it. She was about to feed him.

Song Shuang could smell the soup. He felt the spoon was near his mouth. So he drank the soup.

Gu Baisheng asked him immediately, "How does it taste?"

Song Shuang savored for a while and replied, "A little bit salty."

Gu Baisheng thought about it for a while and was about to leave with the bowl.

Song Shuang realized her upcoming departure. He reached up for her and pulled her to him.

Gu Baisheng did not expect that Song Shuang would suddenly stretch her.

Instantly she was panicked slightly the moment she was pulled over. For fear of the bowl in hand would be turned over, she held the bowl in a hurry.

He smiled slightly seeing her holding the bowl.

Gu Baisheng was angry a little bit, "Why did you pull me suddenly?"

"I haven't yet eaten up the soup. Where are you going?" Gu Baisheng answered with the bowl in hand, "You said it was salty, didn't you? I'll get some water in it."

"It's no good to put water in it. Let it be."

Song Shuang was very accommodating.

To keep her from leaving, he was not about to let her add some water into the soup.

Gu Baisheng took a sip, "It is salty indeed."

"Just a little. I am too busy to have it."

"Then you can take it when you finish your job."

Gu Baisheng did not think twice about his intention.

Noting she was going to leave again, he said, "Stay there."

"But I need to put the bowl aside."

"You don't have to."

Song Shuang replied.

Gu Baisheng was about to say something again, but suddenly she realized what he meant. She looked at Song Shuang doubtfully, "You want me to feed you?"

Song Shuang didn't say so.

But he did not say no, either.

Gu Baisheng could not help laughing at the view of his straight face, "If you want me to feed you, just say it. Why so reserved!"

Song Shuang glanced at her.

Gu Baisheng burst into louder laughter at his cold and proud face.

Song Shuang was such a lovely guy, thought Gu Baisheng.
