“Mr. Yan!” Miserably, Li M cried for help, “Why don’t you say something?”

“Li Mu, I think Xiaoyu is right. Your office is spacious anyway. You should use the space efficiently. It doesn’t matter for both of you to sit together. It’s easier for you to talk about work.”

Before Li Mu could say a word, Mr. Yan spoke to Xiaoyu hurriedly, “Xiaoyu, I don’t mind you working in this office, but it’s not appropriate to sit next to each other. After all, we’re in public. You can’t be too selfish.”

“What about this? I’ll move your table to this office. Both of you will work in the same space but at a different table, is that alright?”

Reluctantly, Xiaoyu nodded her head and threatened Li Mu, “Li Mu, I’m warning you. If you try to set me up again, I’ll work on your lap. Then, I’ll take a picture and send it to your wife. I mean what I say.”

That was too much. Mr. Yan turned away, pretending not to hear her. Crying silently, Li Mu cursed Mr. Yan in his heart over and over again.

After a long battle, He Xiaoyu won. Daringly, she moved into the director’s office.

To shut down the rumors, Mr. Yan announced that He Xiaoyu had been promoted to deputy director. And to cut down the office cost, Li Mu and He Xiaoyu would be working in the same office. That was the perfect reason!

“Knock knock!” A knock rang out from the headmaster’s door.

“Come in!”

After pushing open the door, Wu Heping entered the room, “Mr. Yan, are you busy?"

“Heping, come in and take a seat.”

Mr. Yan invited Wu Heping in. Although he was not fond of Wu Heping, he was still the vice president of the school. He had to give him some face to maintain peace in the school.

Finishing these words, Mr. Yan stared at Wu Heping with a vague smile on his lips. It was as though he was trying to tell him not to find trouble since Lin Wan was about to leave. It was unnecessary to go that far.

Upon hearing Mr. Yan’s words, Wu Heping was shocked. Never did he expect that Lin Wan had already handed in her resignation letter.

“Mr. Yan, did you approve her resignation?”

“Yes!”

“Why did you do that?” Flustered, Wu Heping spat out a childish question.

Hearing Wu Heping’s words, Mr. Yan was unhappy, “What do you mean by that? Why can’t I approve of her resignation? It’s her freedom to resign. Moreover, she’s not an official staff. Even if she’s an official staff, I have no right to stop her from resigning.”

Knowing that he misspoke, Wu Heping quickly explained, “Mr. Yan, please don’t misunderstand. What I mean was Ms. Lin Wan is a very good teacher. I feel reluctant to let such a talent go.”
