The door of Li Mu’s office was opened. Mr. Yan kept pacing back and forth in front of his office. Every time he saw He Xiaoyu, he smiled awkwardly and left away.

In the end, He Xiaoyu lost her patience. Hence, she shouted, “Mr. Yan, get in here!”

Mr. Yan had been waiting for her to say that. He could not sleep the whole night as he was pondering about how to spill the truth to He Xiaoyu.

Although Li Mu’s decision seemed to be the best solution, there were actually unforeseeable consequences. The thing that irked him the most was whether he should tell He Xiaoyu about Li Mu’s resignation or not.

Li Mu did remind him to keep it a secret from He Xiaoyu until the resignation process was done.

However, he was afraid. He Xiaoyu would find out sooner or later. If she knew that he kept it a secret from her on purpose, his career might come to an end.

After pondering for a very long time, he decided to proceed with Li Mu’s resignation as soon as possible because he needed to inform the superiors. Also, he would tip He Xiaoyu off. Only then would he not offend anyone.

Mr. Yan walked into the office with a heavy heart, “You are here, Xiaoyu.”

“What’s wrong with you? Why are you sneaking around and stealing glances at me?”

Closing the door, Mr. Yan turned around to face He Xiaoyu with a saddened face, “Xiaoyu, something big happened.”

Hearing that, He Xiaoyu felt her heart drop. Being keen as usual, she knew it must be related to Li Mu. Hurriedly, she asked, “What happened? Be more specific.”

“Xiaoyu, Li Mu resigned!”

He Xiaoyu’s grip tightened. Fiercely, she said, “Tell me now. Did you force him to leave? Do you want to get fired?”

“No, it wasn’t me!” Mr. Yan pointed upwards, “It’s the superiors. They’re the ones who want Li Mu to leave. It has nothing to do with me! If I’m the one who did that to Li Mu, I wouldn’t have dared to tell you this!”

“What exactly is going on? Explain clearly!”

He had no time to explain further. The ministry of personnel was already processing Li Mu’s resignation letter. Li Mu was no longer a staff of Dongyang by afternoon.

Mr. Yan briefly told her the story. He did not care whether He Xiaoyu understood or not. All he knew was that his mission was completed.

Instantly, He Xiaoyu rushed out of the door and kicked the glass door down. The door was shattered to pieces.

Mr. Yan smiled, thinking that he did the right thing.

After a while, He Xiaoyu came back and picked up the phone. She called the secretary department and asked, “Where is Li Mu’s resignation letter?”

“The headquarters financial department is reviewing it.”

Before the secretary could finish her words, He Xiaoyu hung up. Then, she called the headquarters. “Hello, who is in charge of reviewing the resignation letter of Li Mu from the mobile internet department?”

“Miss, may I know who are you?”

Of course, the person had to confirm He Xiaoyu’s identity before answering her questions.

“I’m He Xiaoyu. I repeat it again. Where is Li Mu’s resignation letter? Who is reviewing his letter?”

“I’m sorry. This is the company’s confidentiality and the staff’s privacy. I can’t reveal any information to you!”

Staff from the headquarters often had a sense of superiority. They thought that they were more high-class compared to the staff working in the normal business departments.

In less than 10 minutes, the door of the headquarters was pushed open. Then, a pretty lady walked in angrily.

“I’m He Xiaoyu. Who picked up my phone earlier?”

Subconsciously, the staff stood up and said, “Miss, this is a workplace. Please lower your volume. I was the one who picked up your phone earlier. Is there anything I can help you with?”

Without hesitation, He Xiaoyu walked past the reception counter, rushed up to the woman, and slapped her across the face.

Then, He Xiaoyu grabbed her hair and gave her another slap, “I repeat my question again. Who is reviewing Li Mu’s resignation letter? You better tell me now or I’ll beat your a*s up again!”

Shocked by He Xioayu’s aura, the woman pointed to a lady.

He Xiaoyu released her grip on the woman’s hair and rushed up to the lady. Hurriedly, she asked, “Did you approve his resignation letter?”

“Not yet. I’m going through his travel expenses. It should be done soon!”

“No. Withdraw it! Withdraw his letter!”

“But I have to conform with the rules of the company. If there’s no problem with his account, the company wants me to approve his resignation as soon as possible. I’m sorry, miss. I don’t think I can help you with this!”

Smack! A loud slap echoed across the room, and instantly, blood started flowing out from the corner of the lady’s mouth. Terrified, the lady stared at her.

He Xiaoyu pushed her away, sat at her table, and started operating the computer. Other people stopped what they were doing as well. Some of them called the security while some reported the incident to superiors.

Not long after the security guards received the report, they arrived at the scene. Quickly, a few of them surrounded He Xiaoyu.

“Stop right there!” Suddenly, a loud roar rang out. Subconsciously, the guards stopped and turned around. It was then that they saw Tang Quan, the president’s secretary, standing by the door and waving at them.

Understanding what he meant, the security guards backed down.

Tang Quan grumbled secretly. It seemed like He Xiaoyu had already found out about Li Mu’s resignation. Looking at the scene in front of him, Tang Quan was afraid that He Xiaoyu might cause even more trouble.

Plucking up his courage, Tang Quan walked up to He Xiaoyu and said, “Xiaoyu, stop making a scene now. Let’s talk about this when we get home, alright?”

The hall was silent. Seeing Tang Quan behaving so humble in front of He Xiaoyu, the two women who got slapped did not dare to even let out a breath. It seemed like He Xiaoyu was someone important.

Someone had already figured out that He Xiaoyu was their boss’s daughter, and they quietly backed away.

However, He Xiaoyu was very frustrated. The financial system of their company was very complicated. This was her first time operating the system. Hence, she couldn’t control it at all. Looking at the woman standing beside her, she ordered, “You, come here. Delete Li Mu’s resignation letter right away. Hurry up!”

The woman looked at Tang Quan for help. Left with no choice, Tang Quan explained, “He Xiaoyu, you can’t do this. You’re not complying to the company’s rule...”

Then she was about to go talk to her father. Before exiting the door, she threatened the staff, “Whoever dares to approve Li Mu’s resignation, I will never let you off the hook. Try it if you dare!”

With that, she left cockily. Moments later, several knocks came from the door of He Yang’s office. Following that was He Xiaoyu’s angry voice, “He Yang, open the door!”

Of course, He Yang did not dare to open the door. He stayed in his office and kept quiet. After knocking for a while, He Xiaoyu kicked on his door harshly before leaving angrily.

After everything that had happened today, He Xiaoyu had managed to establish her authority in the company although she behaved like a female thug.

He Yang was always worried that people would not listen to He Xiaoyu as she was inexperienced. However, it seemed like he got worried for nothing. Nobody dared to disobey her words.

The future owner of the company was quick-tempered, and she might beat whoever provoked her up. She was the complete opposite of her father, who was a well-cultured man.

“Knock, knock. Mr. He, it’s me!”

The door was cracked open. Nervous, He Yang stood behind the door and asked, “Did Xiaoyu leave?”

“Yes.”

Only then did He Yang dared to open the door and let Tang Quan in.

“Mr. He, what should we do now?”

After leaving the president’s office, Tang Quan informed Yan Tao to resume the usual operation and reminded him not to abolish the consulting line.

Not long after he was done talking to Yan Tao, he received a call from He Xiaoyu’s mother.

“Hello, madam!”

“I apologize on behalf of He Xiaoyu!” He Xiaoyu’s mother said straightforwardly, “She went overboard this time. I hope you don’t take it to heart.”

He thought it was weird that He Xiaoyu’s mother actually knew about him getting hit. However, after pondering for a while, he understood what was happening.
