“Why ninety percent? Why are you hiding the rest of it from me? We’re married. How could you be that stingy to me?”

Lin Wan’s mocking embarrassed Li Mu so much that he could only argue irrationally. “Even if we’re not husband and wife, we’re still good friends, right? And you shouldn’t hide things from your friends. Teach me everything!”

“Impossible!” Lin Wan rejected him without hesitation, “The ten percent left is for backup. I can’t teach it to you!”

“Backup? What do you want to do?”

Li Mu would’ve cursed at her if it hadn’t been for the sake of his fear of being beaten up. However, he still couldn’t hold his temper back and pointed at the door, “Get the hell out now!”

Lin Wan ignored him and looked at him cheekily for almost ten minutes.

“Honey, do you know? When I first hit you, I was so nervous and felt so bad for you! But when I hit you for the second time, I started to feel numb and felt nothing. In the end I got more and more excited as I hit you. I’m not the weak wife you can bully anytime anymore. I can finally get my own way and be my own boss!”

Li Mu who was going to be in tears closed his eyes.

Lin Wan laughed delicately and kissed him on his lips. “Don’t be so hot-tempered! I’m just kidding! I can never have the heart to beat you again. I felt so bad when I beat you up that day. I don’t want to feel that way anymore.”

“Don’t beat me up ever again!”

Lin Wan passed Li Mu the bag as he asked curiously, “What is this?”

“Take a look at it!”

Li Mu fished out the jewelry box and understood what was going on right after he opened it. He couldn’t help but asked, “What is this? You got back the gift you gave to them?”

Lin Wan comforted her ex-husband out of habit before it dawned upon her that they were divorced. She said angrily, “Why are you yelling at me? I’m not your wife anyway. I have the right to meet whoever I want! Who do you think you are to control who I meet?”

Li Mu realized what he said and acted casually. “I’m not trying to control you. It’s just that I’m worried you’ll be at loss. Especially that little girl. She’s totally a drama queen! I’m worried that you’ll fall into another trap like how you did before if you’re not cautious enough!”

“Don’t worry. They’ll never have the chance to set me up anymore. It’s already a miracle for them to be alive now. Don’t even mention about setting me up.”

Lin Wan didn’t give a d*mn. Shocked, Li Mu took some time to get back to his senses. However, he decided to play smart and not ask what really happened to the two of them.

After knowing Lin Wan’s true identity, he knew very well that those who’ve offended her would never have a happy ending. Lu Fangliang and his daughter had most possibly paid the price for what they’ve did. However, they could only blame themselves for everything they’re in right now. Li Mu really couldn’t care less.

“You’re asking them to return a gift you’ve gifted them earlier? This is not the manners of a generous lady.” Li Mu asked both seriously and jokingly.

“It doesn’t work like that. It doesn’t matter how expensive the gift is if the other party is a true friend. But I don’t want to spend even a single cent on someone who set me up. I’m not that generous. I can’t treat my enemies well when they treated me otherwise.”

Li Mu nodded. He was happy with what Lin Wan said. He had always yearned to see her completely cutting off ties with Lu Fangliang and her daughter.

To be honest, he was always worried that Lin Wan would not cut off ties with that little girl. If that really was the case, he would never remarry Lin Wan even if it meant being beaten to death by her.

“If you were aware that they had ill intentions but still didn’t cut off ties with them, what were you trying to imply? Why did you still want to be in a relationship with someone who set you up and ruined your marriage?” Li Mu thought to himself.

“If that's the case, it would be better to not remarry than have a huge quarrel in the future. It’d be better to just live our own lives. I’ll marry Xiaoyu and you’ll go be that kid’s stepmother. Let’s breakup and move on with our own lives!”

Li Mu played with the necklace for a while before putting it away and returning it to Lin Wan.

“It's really exquisite. I’m not too good in stuffs like this but it does looks pretty fancy. Keep it. You can gift it to others later!”

Lin Wan took the necklace out again and put it on her palms. Calmly, she looked at Li Mu and asked softly, “Don't you want it?”

“No!”

Lin Wan shook her head sadly and raised her hand without warning, as if she was about to throw it to the ground.

Li Mu’s eyes were focused on her ever since she had asked that question. When he saw that she was about to release her anger by hurling the necklace, he hurriedly grabbed her arm.

“What are you doing? Are you out of your mind?”

“I'll throw it away if you don't want it. It's that simple!”

“I want it. It’s worth fifty-eight million! Why not? I'll take it!”

Lin Wan laughed heartily, “Didn’t you say you don't want it?”

“You fool. Leave that for our baby girl as her birthday present!”

Lin Wan nodded shyly and was delighted. Suddenly she exclaimed, “Ah!”

This exclaim was so sudden that it startled Li Mu. And even He Xiaoyu who was in the corridor heard it clearly. She hurriedly pushed the door open and rushed in, asking nervously, “What's wrong? What happened?”

Li Mu also asked her what was wrong, while Lin Wan said nervously, “I haven't had my period for some time now!”

“How long has it delayed?” Panicked, she asked.

“Definitely more than a month. This won’t do. I'll go do a checkup now!”

Lin Wan stood up and was about to go out when Li Mu finally understood what was going on. He hurriedly called out, “Wait. I'll go with you!”

He Xiaoyu hurriedly held him down and scolded, “Nonsense. Your wound hasn’t healed yet. You must rest in bed now. I will accompany her!”

The two women left the ward in a hurry. And Li Mu lied on the bed with anticipation. He was unable to say what kind of emotions he was feeling now. He was excited, yet worried. He also sensed a hint of fear.

Shaking his head, Li Mu forced himself not to think too much. He fixed his gaze on the door of the ward, hoping for Lin Wan to be back soon.

After a full hour had passed, Lin Wan returned in tears with the test results. Upon entering the ward, she threw herself directly onto Li Mu who couldn't help but let out a stifled grunt.

Lin Wan hurriedly got up and leaned towards the pillow. She hugged Li Mu's head and choked back a sob, “Honey, a baby. We're having a baby!”

“Let me see the report!” Li Mu shouted excitedly.
