“Mrs. Hong!” Aggrieved, Lin Wan called out her name.

“Alright. Alright, little kid. That's exactly what I meant. Kun is right. You can't give up now. You have to continue to act mightily. But you definitely have to give in too. Just keep in mind that you’ll have to get the timing right. And now is definitely not a good time!”

After many days of persuasion, and when Mrs. Hong was about to get sick of her own words, Lin Wan finally relented and gave up the idea of dying together with Li Mu and the baby. She ordered three things to be done firmly.

The first thing to do was to send her in-laws to the South Seas so they could have a good rest. They were so anxious and angry about their affairs that their health was much worse than before. If this went on and they fall sick because of this, things would be over for her and Li Mu.

The second thing was urging Mrs. Hong to step up her progress and hit the ground as soon as possible. She intended to work again so she could formally train her husband for him to be all prepped up and ready to take over the family in the future.

The third thing was ordering Lin Kun to keep a close watch on He Xiaoyu. If she dared to stay together with Li Mu, Lin Wan would get rid of her immediately and kidnap her ex-husband to the South Seas.

Li Mu rented a house and lived alone. He Xiaoyu wanted to live with him. But he stood his ground and said no! Was she trying to die? He had to remain single if Lin Wan had not decided to completely let go of him.

When he first moved out, Lin Wan called him a lot to scold him. And his parents called him to scold him too. But Li Mu was stubborn and insisted on not going back!

Those were some very difficult days. Li Mu stayed in his room every day, relying on takeaways and He Xiaoyu’s financial help to get by. He felt like he was in prison.

Then all of a sudden everything became peaceful and quiet. Both his parents and Lin Wan stopped calling him. It was as if they had given up on him, which in turn made him feel a little wary.

A few days passed, and Lin Wan finally called. This time, she didn’t scold him immediately. Instead she told him calmly that his parents had fallen sick due to how mad they were at him. She also mentioned that she sent them over to the South Seas for the sake of their health.

After hearing the news, Li Mu was heartbroken. He didn't even see his parents off when they left. How unfilial he was as a son?

Lin Wan persuaded him to come back and stay with her. Li Mu was just about to refuse when Lin Wan said quietly, “I'm still pregnant with your child. Do you want to be a cowardly father that leaves our child halfway throughout his growth? If you don't want him anymore, I'll go and get rid of him now!”

Li Mu immediately went back obediently and Lin Wan regretted it so bad. If only she had known it would be this simple, she would have blackmailed him with the baby earlier and that would have been the end of it. Mrs. Hong was right. She was a total fool!

The two of them did not sleep together. Lin Wan slept in the master bedroom while Li Mu slept in the guest bedroom. And Mrs. Hong still slept in the study room. During normal times, they respected each other as if they were guests. So there was no further conflict.

There was just one thing that was rather strange. Lin Wan dressed herself up every day, left early in the morning and returned home late. Li Mu couldn’t help but wonder what she was up to.

Li Mu put up with it for two days. But on the third morning he couldn't stand it any longer. Seeing that Lin Wan was about to go out again, he hurriedly reached out to stop her.

“What are you up to when you're not at home all day?”
