Shen Xingyue grinned merrily and said something secretly to Li Mu, “Li Mu, I'm not married yet!”

He Xiaoyu was so jealous that she almost flipped out on the spot. What did she mean by saying stuff like this to Li Mu? Was she trying to rekindle an old flame?

She suddenly had a question in mind. Why was Shen Xingyue here? Wasn't she the commercial director of the Central Shina Region? Why did she come to the north?

It was understandable for her to be nervous though. When they were in college, Shen Xingyue and Li Mu dated each other and were really affectionate. But like many campus couples, they did not escape the fate of breaking up upon graduation.

The main conflict between the two of them was where to settle down after graduation. Both of them wanted to return to their hometowns and did not want to go to the city where the other lived. And neither could convince the other. In the end, they decided to break up on good terms.

There was a time when Shen Xingyue tried to reach out to Li Mu a few times. But he was with Lin Wan already. Hence he obviously refused his ex-girlfriend's request to get back together.

From that day onwards, the two of them completely cut off ties. Who’d know they would meet each other here today? Not only did He Xiaoyu find it strange, but Li Mu also thought it was pretty unbelievable.

Li Mu avoided her invitation on purpose. He Xiaoyu’s jealousy was even greater than his ex-wife's. How would he dare to get involved with his ex-girlfriend again? He would be the first one to run away from this mess!

What was wrong with that? Li Mu was just about to go through his bag when He Xiaoyu pulled his arm and said coldly to Shen Xingyue, “Sorry, Miss Shen. Li Mu forgot to bring his business card!”

Shen Xingyue smiled unconcernedly and glanced at the phone on the table, “That's okay, Li Mu. Let's exchange our contact information instead. I'll add your V-chat.”

“Sorry, Li Mu forgot to bring his phone!”

“Whose phone is this then?”

He Xiaoyu snatched the phone away and said to her in a serious manner, “Mine!”

She knew Shen Xingyue, who used to be a popular figure in school. Not only was she beautiful, but her grades were also exceptional. She was scouted by the largest company in the IT field – Weihua Group before she even graduated from university.

Shen Xingyue and Li Mu's relationship was no secret, as the two of them often acted affectionately in public. In a sense, He Xiaoyu noticed Li Mu because of Shen Xingyue.

He Xiaoyu glared at her and pinched Li Mu on the arm. The latter smiled awkwardly and gulped down all the water up in the bottle. He didn't know what was wrong with him today. Why was he thirsty all the time?

Suddenly, He Xiaoyu's eyes opened wide and she fixed her gaze at the podium. She poked Li Mu with her finger vigorously.

Li Mu looked at her in confusion, while He Xiaoyu pointed at the podium and said terrifyingly, “Don't look at me. Look there!”

Puzzled, Li Mu turned his head in confusion. With just a glance, he spurted out the mouthful of water on Shen Xingyue's hair. Not a drop of water was wasted.

Shen Xingyue screamed. And although her voice wasn’t too loud, it managed to attract some attention.

Frozen, Li Mu completely ignored Shen Xingyue. Shocked and surprised, he was stunned and couldn’t take his eyes off the person who was on the podium.

Shen Xingyue did not scold him. Instead, she wiped her hair with a tissue and came to Li Mu's side with a straight face, “You’ve wetted my seat. Move inside. I want to sit here!”

Li Mu subconsciously moved his chair towards He Xiaoyu, while Shen Xingyue moved another chair to sit beside him.

The table was designed to seat a maximum of two people. But the three of them huddled together. With one man and two women, one couldn't help but make wild guesses about their relationship.

The two of them weren't even paying attention to this matter. Their attention was focused on the podium, or more precisely, on a woman.

Lin Wan, the woman who had once violently beaten her husband up, was present in the Bureau's team. In fact, she was seated in the middle. And she seemed to be one of the big leaders.

Shen Xingyue looked at Li Mu who was surprised, and shifted her gaze towards Lin Wan before leaning to his ear and whispered, “Li Mu, is that your ex-wife?”

Li Mu nodded blankly, then asked in surprise, “How did you know?”

Shen Xingyue laughed delicately, “I watched a video of a bastard being beaten up. And to be honest, she did something that I've always wanted to do. I'm especially grateful to her!”

“Don't be ridiculous. Who's the bastard? I'm obviously the victim!”

“Victim my foot! You’re the scumbag who played with her feelings. You deserved a beating!”

Lin Wan, who was on stage, had a grim look. She was the real-life depiction of Elsa, the icy beauty.

She had been trying to locate her ex-husband as soon as she entered the room. When she found him, she kept stealing glances at Li Mu’s reaction. She was greatly satisfied upon seeing how shocked and dismantled he was.

But what happened next annoyed her. Who was that woman? How could she and her husband huddle together and chit-chatted so cheerfully? For goodness’ sake, did she just whisper in Li Mu’s ears?

Lin Wan was furious. What was going on there? Who was this woman? By the looks of it, that woman should have known her husband very well. Where on earth did she come from?

Annoyed, she started blaming He Xiaoyu too. Couldn’t she see how that woman was flirting with Li Mu? “Are you trying to let her take your place as his mistress?” Lin Wan thought.

Lin Wan had really wronged the two of them. They were both too dumbfounded and could just stare at her in disbelief. They obviously didn't pay attention to anything else.

He Xiaoyu stared at the podium with her mouth wide open, and only came to her senses when a drop of saliva dripped out of her mouth. She hurriedly wiped her lips with her sleeve before turning to ask Li Mu, “Li Mu, why is she sitting up there?”

“I don’t know either. I’m much more in shock than you are!”

“Is she up to no good?”

“What are you two gossiping about?” Shen Xingyue leaned in and asked.

“It’s none of your business. Wait. Since when have you been sitting here?”

He Xiaoyu’s voice was so loud that it drowned out the conference host's voice.

Everyone shifted their attention to them and burst into laughter.

Shen Xingyue replied elegantly, “Your dear senior fellow spat water on me and wetted my seat. Where else can I sit if I don't sit here?”

At this moment, Li Mu realized what was going on too. Flushed with embarrassment, he quickly got up and said, “The two of you can sit together. I'll go to the front row. I don’t mind sitting on a wet seat!”

He Xiaoyu tugged at him and was about to lash out at Shen Xingyue when something suddenly dawned upon her. She said with a smile, “No worries. You can sit wherever you want. It doesn’t matter anyway. Miss Shen, what do you say?”

How could a woman with such a successful career not have a high emotional quotient? Shen Xingyue instantly understood her intentions. She glanced at Lin Wan who was on the podium and responded cheerfully, “That's right. It's just a meeting anyway. It doesn’t matter where you sit.”

The two women pinned Li Mu in between them and leaned close to him together in an unspoken manner. Both of them tilted their heads towards him and fixed their gaze on Lin Wan.

Li Mu was on pins and needles. He wanted to get up and leave several times but was firmly pulled down by He Xiaoyu. He didn’t want to cause a commotion. So all he did was lowering his head and not looking at Lin Wan again.

Lin Wan gnashed her teeth in hatred. But she could not afford to lose her temper in public. Fixing her deadly gaze on the two sl*ts, she could not help but clench her fists.

Today's meeting was a service wrap-up meeting, which usually was a one-to-one individual communication. It was rare for them to bring the manufacturers together for a meeting.

After all, it involved service details. Hence there was a need for the manufacturers to avoid hearing one another’s content. This was a requirement of both technical and commercial confidentiality.

But Lin Wan broke the rules. She was now the deputy general manager of Shanyang Group and was also the person in charge of the project. How dare her subordinates not follow how she wanted the meeting to be held?

Lin Wan did this to strike a blow at Dongyang Group. She wanted to be ahead of Dongyang Group and show them how powerful she was under the eyes of many. She wanted to embarrass Li Mu and He Xiaoyu in public.
