Shen Zixing could not understand what Li Mu said at all. Puzzledly, she asked, “Brother Mu, why did you leave Miss Lin if you like her?”

“It’s complicated. The person that you like may not suit you and vice versa. I hope you understand what I’m saying!”

The girls could not exactly get what he said and looked at him with a perplexed face.

“In short, there are too many contradictions between us. Lin Wan is a selfish and self-centered person who likes to cause people trouble. I can’t live that kind of life. So I decided to leave her.”

Finally, they understood what he said and gave him a sympathetic look.

Li Mu smiled and said, “Why did you look at me in this way? You don’t have to think that I’m a pitiful man. On the contrary, I feel happier and more broad-minded after leaving her. At last, I’m freed from her.”

“Brother Mu, do you have any regrets?”

Suddenly, the carriage shook vigorously and got them into a shock.

The girls got up nervously and looked at the door on high alert.

Li Mu waved at them and smiled, “Don’t worry. We’re fine. The train is moving now. By the way, are you determined to go with me? I’m not sure where this train is heading to. It’s difficult to send you home if you regret it later on!”

“We won’t regret it!” Shen Zixing responded immediately, “We’ll follow you wherever you go! We’ll travel along with you!”

“Alright!” Li Mu lay down again, “I’m not sure whether it will be a pleasant experience for you. From now onwards, we’re three homeless persons!”

The girls were not disturbed by the thought at all. They held hands and ran towards the door, trying to catch a glimpse of the world outside. Occasionally, they would exclaim whenever they saw something exciting and new.

Li Mu felt sorry for them as he looked at them. “They’re such good girls but have been kept in the house for so many years. They should be grateful that they bumped into me but not any other bad guy. Otherwise, they would be doomed!” He thought.

Time flew by, and they had spent many days on the train. Li Mu had been sleeping and eating without doing any other things for days. The girls finally got bored of watching the sceneries and went to Li Mu, doing nothing together with him.

After a day later, their two bags of food were finished. Li Mu decided to leave the train and the girls were very excited about it. They were bored of staying on the train and wanted to go somewhere else as soon as possible.

It seemed like the train was not going to stop any soon. Li Mu could not help feeling a little embarrassed. It was moving at the speed of about tens of kilometers per hour. Though the train speed was moderately slow, still, it would be too risky for him to jump out of the train. He did not want to die on the railways before he could have seen the world outside.

Shen Zixing noticed his fear and asked by his side, “Brother Mu, are you thinking of jumping out of the train?”

“Yeah. But the train is moving too fast. We’ll do that when it slows down!”

“Well, I can help you with this!” She hugged his waist when she spoke to him. Amidst his screams, they jumped out of the train while Shen Ming’er followed from behind.

Li Mu was terrified after they landed safely. At last, he believed that the girls were masters in martial arts. It seemed like he got two experienced fighters with him.

Shen Zixing asked in a proud tone, “Brother Mu, now you believe that we’re not bragging, right!”

“Yeah. You girls are awesome. Hats off to both of you! By the way, how many years will it take for me to reach your level if I start learning martial arts from now on?”

Shen Zixing touched his body for a while and shook her head. “Brother Mu, don’t waste your time in learning martial arts!”

“Is my body that weak?”

“Yeah. Your body is quite stiff already. You will easily get yourself injured even if you practice the basic skills. You’d better listen to me and don’t take the risk.”

“What about practicing magic? Do you think I can master that?”

“I can teach you that!” Shen Ming’er screamed, “Brother Mu, let me help you activate your spiritual eye!”

“Ming’er, it’s getting late now. Don’t do it here!” Shen Zixing stopped her hurriedly.

She curled her lips and signaled Shen Ming’er to look at her back when she said that.

“Is there something wrong?” Li Mu asked puzzledly. Subsequently, he turned around and saw nothing but a deserted piece of land with bushes and a railway line!

“There are cemeteries there!” Shen Ming’er reminded him giggly.

“What’s the big deal? I see! I’ll get to see them if you activate my spiritual eye here. Am I right?” Li Mu asked with fear.

“Yeah. You’ll see those ‘good friends’ once your spiritual eye is activated. They will come to disturb you since you have not cultivated fatal energy.” Shen Ming’er explained.

It seemed to be a very troublesome thing. Li Mu clearly knew who they were. And it was not a good thing to have anything to do with them. However, what was the fatal energy all about?

The girl explained to him what fatal energy was all about. Then, she told him solemnly that he had to cultivate it before learning how to control the worms to fight against the Magic of Hypnotizing. Otherwise, the worms would wander in his body. And once it went into his brain, he would die instantly.

Li Mu asked immediately, “Is there any worms that produce fatal energy? All the spirits and ghosts would not come near me once I implant them within me.”

The girls shook their heads in unison. But they looked as if they had something to tell him.

Li Mu urged, “Tell me what is in your mind. We’re a family now. Don’t try to hide anything from me.”

Shen Zixing answered softly, “Brother Mu, there’s a fast way to cultivate your fatal energy. But it was a little different than the usual ways. We’re afraid that you may not be able to take it!”

“It requires me to kill people, right?”

Li Mu asked nervously. After all, he was a university graduate and had experienced many things in life. He knew that evil people had fatal energy around them. In order to cultivate it in a fast way, nothing was more effective than killing people!

However, it was a lethal crime by law. The government would put him on a death sentence once he cultivated the fatal energy. He would never dare to do it.

“Game over. I got it right.” Li Mu felt disappointed and waved his hand. “I will never do this kind of evil thing. I’m not that kind of person!”

“But you forced me to put on a fire!” Shen Zixing protested in a loud voice.

“You forced me to steal the motorbike too!” Shen Ming’er added softly.

“They are totally different things. This is called the strategy of attacking the enemy. Both of you are still too young to understand this. Doing bad things towards good people is an evil deed. On the other hand, doing bad things towards bad people is a good act. Can you understand what I’m saying?”

“Our clan is not bad people!”

“What do you call them then? People who practice black magic are all evil people. Your people’s conscience has been corrupted. You’d better appreciate me for bringing you out of their community!”

After Li Mu finished talking, he walked towards the woods. The girls followed him closely. Shen Zixing spoke to him as she walked beside him, “Brother Mu, I haven’t finished talking to you. There is another way to cultivate fatal energy within a short period without killing anyone!”

“What is the condition of doing it? It’s not going to be that simple, isn’t it?”

“You got to have guts and strong perseverance!”

“Tell me what I need to do first.”

“We need to get hold of a Corpse of Death and remove a part of its finger bone. Then, replace yours with it. No ghost and spirit will dare to go near you after that.”

Li Mu was terrified listening to it. Subconsciously, he glanced at his hands.

“Which finger bone?”

“The Left hand is for men and the right hand is for women. Your left index finger!”

“Is it going to be very painful?”

“Yeah. Because you can’t take any anesthetics nor be hypnotized. You have to chop off your finger when you are conscious. Then, graft the Bone of Death to yours using secret magic. Before the Bone of Death is fully embodied by you, you got to keep yourself conscious all the time so that the fatal energy will not destroy you!”

“What will happen if the fatal energy gets to destroy me?”

“You’ll no longer be a human then!”

Li Mu shook his head vigorously and turned down the offer immediately, “Forget about it. Let me find a way to see how to kill people then!”

“Don’t worry. You don’t have to be scared of it. We’re here for you. I can help you graft the bone and Ming’er can help relieve the pain for you. It’s bearable and not something difficult to do!”

“Is it going to be that easy?” Li Mu asked suspiciously.

“Yes, it is. Why should I lie to you?” Shen Zixing said unhappily.

“She’s right, Brother Mu. We’re here for you. That’s nothing to be afraid of. We can help you graft the bone. And it’s going to be successful for sure.” Shen Ming’er patted her chest to vouch for it.

Li Mu hesitated for a while. And finally, he gritted his teeth and said, “Alright. Do you know where to get the Corpse of Death?”

“Not sure. But Zixing will find a way to look for it. You just have to relax and see how she does it.” Shen Ming’er smiled.

Shen Zixing nodded proudly and confidently.

“Okay. We’ll find a place to rest for a few days before we look for the Corpse of Death!”

The girls agreed to his plan since they did not have much traveling experience. However, they did not know that Li Mu was experienced traveling in the cities but had no experience wandering in the jungle.

Not long later, Li Mu was lost in the jungle with the girls. It was not that he was lost since he did not know the road from the beginning. After walking for a long time, he felt impatient and wondered why they were still walking in the jungle.

“I’m trying to look for the North Star!” Li Mu answered honestly.

“Are you lost?”

“We’re all lost, aren’t we? Both of you should know how to observe the stars since you went for cultivation in the mountain before. Tell me which is the North Star!”

Shen Zixing naughtily said, “I’m not going to tell you. You got to find it yourself!”

“Fine. Do you think I can’t find it myself? Let me look for the Big Dipper first. See, I got it!”

The North Star pointed to the North. One could only find the North Star after identifying the Big Dipper.

Compared with the North Star, the Big Dipper was easier to find. The Big Dipper was shaped like a spoon. Not that it looked like a spoon, but its constellation of stars looked like a spoon.
