Li Mu bellowed, “Zixing, Ming'er, aim at its leg socket!”

The two sisters responded together. And the entrenching shovels in their hands flew out, hitting the big guy right at its leg sockets. Although the big guy was invincible and invulnerable to swords and spears, it stumbled and fell on its knees due to the sudden impact.

Li Mu who had leaped up a while ago landed behind the big guy as he descended. Swinging his entrenching shovel, he aimed a ferocious chop on the big guy's neck.

However, the big guy’s head wasn’t chopped off. Instead, a few sparks sparked off the entrenching shovel as it flew out of Li Mu’s hand. The big guy was too strong for this!

Li Mu's arm was slightly numb from the impact and he couldn't help but curse, “Holy sh*t!”

“Honey!” Lin Wan shouted while rushing towards him.

“Get back. It's dangerous!” Li Mu shouted for her to stop. Without waiting for the big guy to get up, he did a somersault and landed on its shoulders with his hands closed in a fist towards the middle.

Bang!

Li Mu put all his strength and might into this punch. At first, he thought that this punch would blow the big guy’s head off. However, he felt like he punched on a steel plate, which made his arms go numb. The pain in both his hands was excruciating, causing him to grimace in pain.

The punch did pay off, though. The big guy’s body tilted and fell to the ground with a thud, though no one knew whether it was dead or knocked out.

The rest of the corpse puppets went into immediate chaos as they stopped attacking and dispersed in different directions to hide.

It seemed like the big guy acted like their central nerve. With it was down, the corpse puppets who lost their backbone were not sure what to do next.

“Li Mu! Li Mu!” Outside the head of the village, He Xiaoyu and Lin Kun who were putting off flash bombs rushed over. Miss He whose eyes were filled with tears wanted to rush straight into the arms of her senior fellow and cry in his arms.

The early bird caught the worm. Lin Wan rushed out from the side and jumped straight into Li Mu's arms, crying, “Honey, I finally found you! I'm sorry. It’s all my fault! I'll never make you mad ever again. Let's never be apart!”

It was the familiar smell and body he remembered so well. Li Mu hesitated before sighing softly and taking her in his arms.

He Xiaoyu came to a halt and rushed to Li Mu's side while looking at them despondently.

Shen Ming’er who had already retrieved the entrenching shovel looked at Lin Wan and asked, “Brother Mu, who is she? Why are you holding her in your arms?”

Shen Zixing whispered, “You fool. She's Miss Lin!”

Mrs. Hong asked with a grin, “Little girl, how did you know that she’s Miss Lin?”

“Brother Mu told us that Miss Lin is pregnant with his child. And she is the only pregnant woman here. So, she must be Miss Lin!” Shen Zixing explained.

Before Mrs. Hong could say anything else, Shen Ming’er came to a realization and asked in a small voice, “Oh, so she is Miss Lin. Sister, is she our big sister in the future then?”

“Yes. She is our big sister and we are her younger sister. We are a family from now on!” Shen Zixing replied seriously.

“What nonsense is this, you little girl?” Mrs. Hong laughed, “Since you call Li Mu your elder brother, Miss Lin should be your sister-in-law. She’s obviously not your big sister.”

“How is she not our big sister? Li Mu is both our man and Miss Lin's man. It’s just that she got married to Li Mu earlier than us. Doesn’t that make her our big sister?” Shen Zixing replied extremely seriously.

Lin Wan lifted her head from Li Mu's arms. Suppressing her anger, she forced out an affectionate expression as she asked softly, “Honey, aren’t you going to explain?”

“Explain what?” Li Mu replied apprehensively.

“Why did I become a big sister all of a sudden? I haven't seen you for a few days, yet you’ve already found yourself two mistresses. How lucky of you!” At the end of the sentence, Lin Wan clenched her fist and her expression was icy cold as she no longer tried to fake a smile.

“Don't listen to the two of them. They grew up training in the mountains and met me when they left. They were the ones who insisted I’m their man. There's no such thing at all!”

“What made them think so then?” He Xiaoyu asked on.

“It’s all because of their master! That old lady loves to tell fairy tales and often makes nonsense up to fool her disciples. Who’d knew the two of them would believe what she said. Coincidentally, their hair grew right after they met me and I became their man. To be honest, I am also baffled!”

They look even more confused upon hearing there was another story of how their hair grew when they met him.

Li Mu waved his hand at them and said urgently, “Let's talk about this matter later, okay? Let's get out of here first.”

Lin Wan too knew that they shouldn’t stay here for long. This was not the time for jealousy! If she had any doubts, it’d be better to deal with them when they were safe!

Everyone else followed him as they ran out of the village. The corpse puppets stood still and motionless like a wooden statue as they watched them pass by.

After getting out of the village, Li Mu came to a sudden halt and stopped everyone with his arms stretched to the side.

“Stop right there!”

Without the need for him to explain anything, everyone could already clearly see large groups of beasts blocking their way out as they surrounded the entrance of the village.

“Li Mu, why aren’t they leaving?” He Xiaoyu asked with fear.

“I don't know either. These beasts seem to be afraid of bombs though. Does any of you still have any left?”

Mrs. Hong laughed from aside, “That wasn’t a bomb. It's just some sort of gadget to scare the beasts. They've all been used up by Kun and Xiaoyu now. We have none of them left.”

At this moment, the beasts who spotted them started growling and approaching them slowly.

“Fall back. Fall back! Let’s leave through the back of the village instead!” Li Mu decided immediately.

The group turned back and headed towards the back of the village instead. When they passed by the shabby house, Shen Zixing shouted, “Brother Mu, wait a minute! Ming'er and I will go get the luggage!”

The two sisters turned around and went into the courtyard, followed by Mrs. Hong and Lin Kun. Not long after, they returned with their luggage on their backs. After meeting up with the rest of the group, they ran together towards the back of the village.

The corpse puppets remained still and motionless, with their bloodshot eyes staring at them deadly. They turned their heads with a fixed gaze as they watched them leave the village.

The primeval forest was not far behind the village. Li Mu said to the rest of the group, “Everyone, head inside the woods! Let’s get as far away as we could first. Then, we’ll go around this village!”

As soon as the words left his mouth, a thunderous roar was heard from the village behind them.

Immediately afterward, the roar of the corpses and beasts rang out together in a loud voice. And the ground began to shake as if a thousand horses were coming after them from behind.

The crowd was terrified as Li Mu cursed, “Sh*t. That idiot is not dead! Everyone, run!”

Dragging Lin Wan with one hand and He Xiaoyu on the other, he frantically fled towards the woods.

They moved like flash. And if it was commoners who went after them, they would have lost them in a matter of seconds. However, the ones who were chasing after them were not ordinary people. It didn’t matter whether the ones chasing them were corpse puppets or beasts, as both could run very fast. It was not that easy to get rid of them.

At the same time, deep in the dense forest and wild wasteland, there were loud hissing sounds, as the forest rustled. Li Mu and the others knew that the sound was caused by the beasts running and that a large number of fierce beasts were closing in on them from different directions.

Li Mu cursed, “D*mn. We’re in deep trouble! We’re being ambushed on all sides!”

“Including our blind spots!” Lin Wan corrected him loudly.

“It doesn't matter. We’re still ambushed anyways! Everyone, get your tools ready to kill!”

The two sides got into a fight once again. The beasts pounced bravely towards them and were killed one by one by Li Mu and the two sisters. Though they were not able to do much damage to them, they managed to slow them down.

Seeing the big guy approaching them, Li Mu shouted, “There's solid fuel in the backpack! Light it up. Light it the h*ll up!”

Mrs. Hong and Lin Kun hurriedly fished out the solid fuel from the backpack. Panicking, they were unable to find an object to start the fire. They gritted their teeth and were forced to put two sleeping bags on fire as they used them as protection while they rushed forwards.

The beasts were naturally afraid of fire and smoke, which was inevitable even if their minds were controlled by spells. When they saw Mrs. Hong and Lin Kun rushing over, they all dodged to the side. Li Mu and the others seized the opportunity to rush out and sped headlong into the forest.

The big guy roared in anger and led the corpse puppets and beasts to chase after them.

“Brother Mu, follow me! We'll run towards the gold mine. It's a forbidden place for the Shen Family. They wouldn't dare to enter!” Shen Zixing shouted towards Li Mu.

“Well, guess what? The two of you are the heirs of the Shen Family. Aren't they attacking you too? Would it work if we go there?” Li Mu asked uneasily.

Shen Zixing hurriedly explained, “Don't worry. There is a labyrinth to protect the mine there! They can feel free to go in with us if they’re not afraid of dying! Honestly, I can't wait for them all to go in with us!”

The situation was so urgent that Li Mu didn't have time to mull over the pros and cons. Hence he immediately nodded and agreed, “Okay. Let's go to the gold mine!”

Running like crazy, the crowd gradually escaped into the depths of the mountain with Shen Zixing leading the way.

The corpse puppets and beast followed closely behind them. It seemed like they would not give up until Li Mu and the others were dead.

Moving swiftly, they were clearly faster than the ones chasing them. After running a few more hills, they left the big guy and the others far behind them.

With a slight sigh of relief, Li Mu listened carefully and realized that they were still being chased. He couldn't help but curse, “D*mn! That idiot! I didn't steal your money or your wife. Why are you chasing me like hell?”

Lin Wan persuaded from aside, “Save your breath. He's a Corpse of Death Puppet and will only follow its master's orders. It's useless for you to scold him as it’s just blindly carrying out orders!”

“I didn't offend its master though. I don't even know who his master is?” Li Mu said aggrievedly.

“The bunch of you coming uninvited is offensive enough. This alone is unforgivable for the owner. Hence, he wants all of you dead.” Lin Wan explained.

“The owner of this place? Bullshit. This belongs to the country. The owner of this place is the people of our country. We are the people of our country. So who is he to not let us enter? Since when did this place become his family's private land?” Li Mu retorted scornfully.

Lin Wan rolled her eyes and stopped arguing with him.

He Xiaoyu who had been listening suddenly asked, “Lin Wan, are you sure that thing is a Corpse of Death Puppet?"

“Definitely! In fact, it is a Corpse of Death Puppet that was refined with some secret spell! Hence, it is very strong and invincible. That’s why it was a pain to deal with!”

Li Mu was perplexed by this and couldn't help but ask Shen Ming’er, “How could there be something like that here? Ming’er, is that idiot from the Shen Family?”
