The stones in the moonlight gave off sharp senses of vicissitude. Few people crammed on the small Zhongtian Stone and could barely fit, listening to the rustling of the forest around them. More and more corpse puppets and beasts began to appear gradually.

The beasts and corpse puppets lifted their heads and roared at them. Some of the corpse puppets and beasts tried to climb up the rocks, only to fall off. They weren’t a threat to them at all.

After a while, the big guy finally appeared along with its huge thumping sound of footsteps.

The big guy walked underneath the boulder and looked up at him.

Li Mu squatted down and said to him, “My friend, are you familiar with the Shen Family?”

“I am!” The big guy replied in a dumb voice.

“Are you a member of the Shen Family?” Li Mu continued to ask.

“Yes!”

“Wait. What? Say that again?”

Its reply surprised everyone. No one would’ve expected the big guy to be a member of the Shen Family.

“Yes!” The big guy replied with an expressionless face.

Li Mu pulled the two sisters to him and pointed at them, “Are you out of your mind? They are also from the Shen Family. Why are you after them then?”

“Betrayal!”

Betrayal? Who betrayed what? Confused, Li Mu asked the two sisters, “Do you understand what he meant?”

“I don't understand!” Shen Zixing said aggrievedly, “We didn't betray our family. We would never do that!”

“Hey, big guy. Did you hear what she said? It's not all right to frame someone with false evidence! How did she betray the family? Tell us the truth. Otherwise, you are wronging the innocent!”

“By stealing gold!”

“For what?”

“Die!”

“You idiot!”

The big guy did not know how to curse but he turned to walk back as if he knew that Li Mu was insulting him. Li Mu hastily called out, “Wait a minute. I have something to say.”

When the big guy turned to look at him, Li Mu said with a straight face, “I'm not stealing by taking gold. Do you know who I am?”

“Who?”

“I’m the Shen Family’s son-in-law!”

“Liar!”

“Nonsense. I’m stating the truth. Let me ask you. Do you know Shen Xingyue?”

The big guy trembled as he ran to the boulder. He looked up and said, “Yueni!”

That was great! Since he knew the name Yueni, did that mean that he knew Shen Xingyue?

Li Mu hurriedly said, “Yes. Yueni. Do you know her?”

“Who are you?”

“I'm her fiance. And she's my future wife. Hence, it’s not considered theft when I’m here to take my wife's dowry!”

Li Mu had no choice but to use Miss Shen as an excuse. Even if he had to kowtow to make it for up her later, it was better to prioritize everyone's lives first!

“Really?” The big guy asked.

“Yes. Yes!” Shen Ming’er chimed, “Shen Xingyue is my sister. And he is my brother-in-law. My master is Shen Ying. Do you know her?”

“Shen Ying!” The big guy began to shake its head. This was too much information for it to comprehend. Putting its hands on its head, it began to step back slowly.

Everyone started beaming. It seemed like this big guy was really related to the Shen Family. And Li Mu’s lies might just help them out from this sticky situation.

The situation took a sharp change when a woman’s loud voice rang out, “Honey, what am I to you?” The voice was soft yet full of jealousy. Who else could it be if it wasn’t Lin Wan who was speaking?

The big guy suddenly stood still and looked up towards them.

Li Mu was this close to vomiting blood. He gestured towards Lin Wan and silently cursed at her. “What’s with your jealousy acting up at this very minute? It’s a strategy against the enemy. How can you expose my tricks right in front of my enemy?” He complained silently.

Mrs. Hong silently tugged at Lin Wan’s sleeve too. She muttered in her heart, “Oh gosh. Li Mu has finally got control over the big guy and we are at advantage. Why are you trying to mess it up at this very moment? Li Mu was obviously lying! If he really intended to marry Shen Xingyue, why would he run away from her?”

Unbeknownst to her, Lin Wan had been holding back her temper for a long time and was this close to exploding out of anger. Since her pregnancy, her hormone secretion had been abnormal and with everything that had happened recently, she was as furious as she could be.

The big guy turned around and left, while Li Mu hurriedly shouted, “Hey, come back! Yueni is my ex-girlfriend. Can’t you let us go? I'm not lying this time. She's really my ex-girlfriend.”

The big guy didn't give a d*mn about him. Walking into the woods, it started to uproot the trees.

Li Mu said in bewilderment, “What is it doing? Why is it uprooting the tress?”

“Probably venting its anger out!” Lin Kun muttered.

The corpse puppets below started to move too. Some of them also started uprooting the trees, while the others started to pick up huge rocks.

The few people above were confused when He Xiaoyu suddenly exclaimed, “I get it! They're going to hit us with these big trees and rocks!”

They all went pale and looked at each other in disbelief. There was really no room for them to dodge and move around up here. They would be in deep trouble if their enemies aimed these trees and rocks at them!

Panicking, Li Mu picked up the entrenching shovel and asked Shen Zixing, “Where is the location of the Datian Stone?”

“There!” Shen Zixing pointed to a spot.

With a clang, the entrenching shovel plunged hard into a patch of air. Followed by a shimmer of light, a black boulder appeared in front of their eyes.

Shen Zixing shouted, “That's it. That’s the Datian Stone!”

Looking at the distance, the Datian Stone was more than ten meters away. Li Mu snatched the entrenching shovels from the two sisters and took a few steps backward. Using the force generated from his run, he jumped towards the boulder.

After his bone replacement, he was extremely good at jumping and this distance was nothing to him. In fact, his body had barely descended before he reached the Datian Stone.

When he was about to hit the boulder, Li Mu stretched his arms out and plunged two of the entrenching tools viciously into the boulder’s surface. Immediately after that, he used the entrenching shovels as arms to plow up the boulder wall with astonishing speed.

A moment later, Li Mu rolled onto the top of the boulder and shouted to Lin Kun, “Throw the rope over here!”

When he started to move, Lin Kun had already tied the noose. Upon hearing his command, he immediately swung the rope and threw it over.

Li Mu took it in his hand, tied the noose around his waist and wrapped it tightly. He shouted loudly to them, “Swing over in pairs!”

Lin Wan and He Xiaoyu swung over first, followed by the two sisters. And the last to come was Mrs. Hong and Lin Kun, who brought a suitcase along with him.

Trees chunks and rocks could be seen flying across the sky as the big guy hissed and yelled, urging its men to smash as hard as they could!

Li Mu asked anxiously, “Where is the entrance?”

Shen Zixing pointed to the other side of the stone and shouted, “Over there!”

With that, she took the lead and ran over to the edge of the boulder and jumped down.

Dodging blocks of wood and flying stones, everyone else followed her closely and ran that way too.

It was only when they reached the vicinity did they realize that there was a crack fit for one person to squeeze in at the edge of the boulder. Shen Zixing's voice rang from below, “Jump down and slide down the boulder wall!”

The few of them did not have time to hesitate and jumped off the boulder one after another.

The crack wound downwards like a twisting water slide. The boulder walls were very smooth and slippery. Hence it wasn’t hard for them to slide down at all.

Li Mu shouted worriedly, “Honey, control your speed. Don't go too fast!”

Lin Wan's voice came from above, “Alright!”

Splash! Someone landed into the water. Shen Zixing shouted, “Brother Mu, there's a large pool of water below. It's safe!”

Splash. Splash. The few of them landed one after another.

After emerging from the water, they swam to the shore and climbed onto the bank soaking wet.

Li Mu surveyed his surroundings and found himself in a stone cave. The walls were brown and emitted an eerie red light. It wasn’t very bright down here but he could still see things clearly.

Overhead, the rumbling sound went on and on. From time to time, stones fell through the cracks and smashed into the pool of water, making a loud noise. Gradually, fewer and fewer stones fell. And in the end, only the sound could be heard and there were no more falling stones.

Shen Zixing fished out the torch from her backpack and swam to the crack to peer outside. After swimming back, she said to Li Mu, “Brother Mu, the rocks have jammed the crack. So we definitely can't go back the way we came.”

Pointing at the brown stones, Li Mu asked the others, “What are these and why are they glowing?”

“These are a kind of fluorite, which contains trace elements that can glow. They can emit fluorescence in a dark environment.” Mrs. Hong said to Li Mu as she wrung the water from her clothes.

“Isn’t this a luminous gemstone then? There’s so much fluorite here. It’s worth a lot of money, right?”

“Yeah. It seems like you’re rich, Li Mu. Tell me, how do you plan on bringing these out?”

Li Mu knew she was mocking him but he didn’t really care. Instead, he turned to ask Lin Wan, “How are you doing? Are you hurt?”

“I'm fine. Safe and sound!” Lin Wan replied with a smile.

She was now satisfied. In times of trouble, Li Mu had proved that he still loved her and that she was still in his mind at critical moments like this.
