“Li Mu, I am coming for you!”

“Brother Mu, we are coming!”

With the successive sound, He Xiaoyu and the two sisters jumped into the lake one after another. They swam fast to Li Mu and dragged him back to the shore.

Mrs. Hong rushed over and said to them, “Spread out and be hurry, all of you. Please don’t gather together or she may get awake.”

“Don’t worry!” He Xiaoyu looked over Lin Wan from far, “This is a large lake and she wouldn’t be here soon. Mrs. Hong, what happened? Why didn’t she save Li Mu?”

“Because he is not the one he used to be. In her memory, the one she meets now should be the previous Li Mu she knew before, not the one he is now.” Mrs. Hong explained.

No one understood and they all looked at her doubtfully.

Mrs. Hong sighed and she patted at Li Mu’s arms and legs. With a tiny voice, she said, “These are changed, aren’t they? He is not the silly little lad anymore in Lin Wan’s eyes.”

“Then I am doomed.” Li Mu said in frustration. “I can’t cut my limbs off and make her love me with this limbless body, can I?”

“Or, what about we kick Lin Wan into the lake?” Shen Ming’er suggested seriously.

It could be a solution. After kicking Lin Wan into the lake when she was unprepared, and then Li Mu could risk his life to save her. As long as they played the trick well, they could get away from it.

The key was no one was able to kick her off. Madam Lin was excellent at kung fu. Mrs. Hong was the only one who could fight with her but she didn’t dare to show up.

As for others, they were not able to combat Lin Wan. Needless to mention Lin Kun or He Xiaoyu, the two sisters couldn’t do it, either. Or even the two sisters fought her together, they might not be able to push her into the water. What should they do?

A few minutes later, Lin Wan walked over from far. She didn’t look at Li Mu at all when she passed him. She chose to ignore him and walked over.

Li Mu didn’t show any interest to her either. He simply laid on the grass and slept.

Li Mu didn’t know how long he had slept when he suddenly felt that someone was kicking him. He opened his eyes and saw Lin Wan was looking at him disdainfully.

Li Mu turned over and got up at once. He looked puzzled and asked, “Why are you kicking me?”

“Who are you? And why did you follow me?” Lin Wan asked coldly.

“I follow you? Are you joking? Didn’t you see that I was sleeping? When did I follow you?”

“Admit it. You followed me just now. Tell me the truth. What is your purpose and why did you do this?”

Li Mu stood up and said sincerely, “I am truly sorry for what happened just now. I misunderstood you and then unexpectedly, I made you misunderstand.”

“Misunderstood me? You misunderstood me for what?” Lin Wan asked.

“I saw you looking absent-minded as if you had something annoying in mind. And then you started circling around the lake. I was worried that you have something you could not think through. So I followed you and planned to lend a hand when emergency called.”

“Do you think I would jump into the lake?” Lin Wan asked contemptuously.

“That’s what I thought at the beginning. Now I see that you’ve circled the lake so many times, and you don’t mean to jump at all. I know I’m wrong. Please forgive me for the offense!”

Lin Wan looked at him up and down and her eyes gradually eased. She nodded at him and walked forward.

Li Mu laid down and continued sleeping, while Lin Wan continued her circling.

A round after another, Lin Wan became more and more annoyed. When she passed Li Mu again, she couldn’t help but kick him and wake him up.

“What?” Li Mu asked unkindly.

Lin Wan was not angry. She asked him, “Tell me, why am I circling around the lake?”

“Because you are sick.”

He thought Lin Wan would be mad at him when she heard it. Unexpectedly, Lin Wan nodded her head and agreed to him. “Yes, you are right. I am sick indeed.”

Li Mu asked in surprise, “what’s your sickness?”

“I always have this feeling. It is like something is in my belly. I’d like to jump into the water but I am afraid it would harm the thing in my belly. I must be sick with this condition. Do you know what the reason is?”

“I know. You are pregnant!” Li Mu answered seriously.

Lin Wan blushed at once. She scolded angrily, “Nonsense! Who is pregnant?”

“You are! I have full evidence to prove your pregnancy!”

“What evidence do you have? I warn you, I will not spare you if you dare to talk nonsense!”

“The evidence is me! Myself!”

“What?”

“The evidence is me in person!”

“What kind of evidence you are?”

Li Mu stood up. He said seriously, “Don’t question my words. I am the evidence indeed because I am the father!”

Li Mu was kicked by Lin Wan and fell into the distant lake. He then began to flutter on the water. “Help! I can’t swim!” He shouted.

In the far distance, He Xiaoyu and the sisters were about to rush over and save him while Mrs. Hong reached her hand out and stopped them.

“Wait. This might be a chance. Lin Wan is kind-hearted and she would not watch him drown. Be patient and we will see.”

Lin Wan stood on the shore and stared at Li Mu quietly. She still looked angry. But a moment later, she became uneasy and then anxious soon.

She realized that the so-called her child’s father could not swim and his situation was getting more and more critical.

Lin Wan looked around and found that no one was there to turn to. She had no alternative but jumped into the lake after a stomp of her foot.

The surroundings began to twist but Lin Wan ignored the change. She swam to Li Mu and shouted subconsciously, “Honey! Honey! I am coming for you!”

Li Mu embraced her at once and sealed her lips with kisses.

They didn’t know how long it had passed until Mrs. Hong said to them, “I think it’s more or less enough for you both if you have a look at this place. You will have plenty of time for your love after we go back. Stop lingering here.”

They parted each other reluctantly. Lin Wan kissed Li Mu on the cheek and said shyly, “I love you, honey!”

“I love you too.”

Mrs. Hong shrugged exaggeratedly and complained to them, “This is too much. Fine. This is enough. It’s time for the real work. We have to decode another two dreams. Lin Wan and Li Mu, let’s get it done for good, shall we?”

“As you wish,” Li Mu answered. “Let’s get started and get out of this ghost place at once. This is a sick place with the skulls all over here.”

“Well, then let’s continue the adventure. But before we go in, we’d better have a discussion and make things clear. Or there might be some contradictions which may hurt our feelings and even lead us to danger!”

Neither of them understood Mrs. Hong’s words and they looked at her puzzled.

Mrs. Hong smiled and said softly, “Li Mu’s challenge shouldn’t be hard. We will figure out the reason after we go in.”

Speaking of this, she glared at He Xiaoyu and reminded them, “I’d like to say the challenge of Xiaoyu. Her dream is about proposing. Now it seems unlikely for me to substitute for Li Mu. It is best for Li Mu to do it in person to avoid any accident.”

“There is nothing to discuss. No!” Lin Wan declined it firmly.

“Honey, don’t be childish. It’s just a dream and there is no need to be serious.” Li Mu comforted her at the side.

“According to what you say, Mrs. Hong and I were married so she is my wife now. Would you like to admit this reality?”

Lin Wan complained to him bitterly, “You are shameless. Don’t fancy about Mrs. Hong.”

Mrs. Hong blushed and she confuted too, “Don’t talk nonsense. That thing of us doesn’t count and it was not a marriage.”

“Why doesn’t it count? We knelt before the gods and it doesn’t count only because you say no? Did the gods agree? So things count when you agree and don’t count if you don’t approve? This is too overbearing!”

Lin Wan could not stand to hear it any longer. She began to beat Li Mu at his chest, “What do you mean by saying this? Would you like Mrs. Hong to be your wife?”

Mrs. Hong was so angry that she stamped her foot and complained, “Be serious, would you? Don’t talk about me and stop mentioning this from now on.”

Li Mu took Lin Wan’s hand in his and smiled. “Please don’t be naughty. I know it doesn’t count. For the same reason, it will not count even if I propose to Xiaoyu. Don’t stare at me. Everyone knows why if I do it. Honey, would you like the three of us to die here because of your jealousy?”

Lin Wan didn’t know what to do it. So she turned to Mrs. Hong. “Please tell me if I should agree, Mrs. Hong.”

Mrs. Hong answered simply, “Make your own decision and please don’t ask me.”

“Let’s go in first.” Lin Wan determined. “Let’s go in and we will see.”
