“I didn’t hear it wrong!” Shen Zixing answered firmly, “The sound came from this stone. I’m sure it was!”

Shen Ming’er said too, “Brother Mu, my sister is right and this is the stone. It was clear. I’m sure of it as well.”

“This is f*cking strange because I didn’t hear anything!” Li Mu murmured.

“Did you hear anything?” He asked the others then.

Lin Wan and the others shook their heads. They didn’t hear anything, just like him.

Li Mu wandered around the stone twice and he couldn’t help but pat it.

He found something unusual right after the pat and he hissed.

“Honey, it seems to be hollow.” Lin Wan reminded at his side.

Immediately, Li Mu patted the stone next to it and it sounded solid. Then he patted again that stone but it sounded hollow again.

“Interesting. It is hollow!”

He waved his hand and gathered the others aside. “What do you say? Shall we open it or not?” He asked in a low voice.

Everyone felt difficult to make the decision. There were two choices, opening it or leaving it. It looked very simple, yet it was a hard decision to make.

Lin Wan and He Xiaoyu suggested not to open it so they could move forward without unnecessary attention. “The main point is to find the square. Who knows what is inside and if there is any danger? It’s better to make things simple and keep away from the troubles.” They said.

Li Mu and Mrs. Hong proposed to open it. “Now that we know it may be dangerous, we should cast it off in advance. It feels uneasy to leave an unknown danger behind our back.”

Both sides had their points and they couldn’t reach an agreement. It was hard to make the decision soon. The argument reached an impasse and they all seemed upset.

At last, He Xiaoyu said, “Miss Lin and brother, we should not waste the time. Let’s make it simple and fast. Make a hole and fill it with dynamite. We blow it up no matter it is good or evil, blessed or cursed. It will not trouble us as long as it is gone for good.”

Li Mu was cheered up by her suggestion. He clapped his hands and said, “Good idea. I like it. Xiaoyu is so clever that she always finds the simplest and the most practical solution.”

Everyone laughed. Lin Wan and Mrs. Hong nodded their heads and approved. He Xiaoyu’s idea looked very simple, but it was the most efficient one. Just blew it up no matter what was inside.

Now that they were sure that the place was not good, why not make some damage? They had been following the leads along the way and they were tired of it.

As an old man said, “You have your way and I have mine. You may have a thousand tricks but I can crack them all with one drastic strike.”

In the center of the boulder, there was a room not too big. The light was dim and the furnishing was humble. Three stone stools were scattered on the ground.

Besides, there was a stone mirror embedded in the stone wall, which was so flat and smooth that one could see clearly his figure.

Third Grandaunt sat on one of the stone stools in silence. She was thinking about how to deal with the bad guys.

Of course, this Third Grandaunt was not herself but a reflection. This was a mechanism and secret sorcery. She made a dream through the reflection of the stone mirror and she was the master of it. She’d like to meet Li Mu and others in this dream.

The Shen Family were indeed very good at sorcery. Although they were in the far south, they could patrol their treasures in their dreams through this stone mirror, to prevent them from thieves and ensure the safety of the gold mine.

A moment later, she saw a spade head go in and then a hole was made in the stone wall.

“Halashao!” Soon she heard a voice outside the cave.

Third Grandaunt didn’t figure out the meaning of “Halashao”. She was wondering if she should answer or not. Then she heard that voice again. “I am Master Li. Here is a parcel for your signature!”

A smoking package was stuffed inside. Third Grandaunt looked at it curiously.

“Boom!”

Before she could do anything, a drastic explosion destroyed everything including Third Grandaunt’s dream. It was shattered into ashes, leaving only the rubble on the ground.

After a moment, someone poked his head out behind the stone and then slunk inside. He was looking forward and backward like a mouse on the street. It was no one else but Li Mu.

After careful observation, Li Mu walked over at ease. His companions followed him and they came to the blasting site together.

They all patrolled around and found that the place had been ruined into nothing and no one could tell its original look. He Xiaoyu laughed, “Haha, this is great. No matter how dangerous it was, it is clear now.”

Lin Wan was puzzled, “Honey, this chamber looks nothing special and the rubbles seem normal too. Well, what about the voice that the sisters heard? Who made it?”

“I don’t know. I couldn’t figure it out. There is nothing around here except the rocks and stones. This is quite a puzzle.”

“This may be some kind of trick!” Mrs. Hong said at the side. “The trick sends the voice over and only the Shen Clan understands it.”

She looked terrible and the crowd was startled. Shen Xingyue asked at once, “Mother, did you see him?”

“Explosives. What is it and why?” The Lin Family dared not to say a word, and the Shen Family felt puzzled.

“Mother, was there some misunderstanding?” Shen Xingyue clenched her final hope.

The old lady breathed a little and then replied. Her voice was full of anger, “No, while I was waiting for them in the stone chamber, the Li boy drilled a hole in the wall and blew me up with explosives.”

“Did he say anything?”

“Two sentences he said. The first one was something ‘ha’ and ‘shao’, which I didn’t get it clearly. The other one was about a parcel for my signature. I will make this damn boy suffer!”

“Mother, please don’t blame Brother Mu. He didn’t know it was you and he didn’t mean it.” Shen Xingyue explained for Li Mu meekly.

“How do you know that? I know he was on purpose. Yueni, don’t speak for him. This b*st*rd boy is not good enough for you. Take my advice and leave him.”

Third Grandaunt was trying to make a big deal out of it. She didn’t want to become enemies with the Lin Family because of Li Mu. As the backbone of the Shen Family, she knew very well the importance of the Lin Family therefore didn’t want to offend the old ally because of the marriage of the kids.

Shen Xingyue didn’t like what she heard. She murmured, “Mum must have misunderstood Brother Mu. He isn’t that kind of guy. Please don’t talk about him like that. I don’t like it.”

Fifth Aunty mediated at once. “Third Sister, why does Li Mu want to drill a hole? Is the mechanics of the hidden gate broken?”

“No!” Third Grandaunt was somewhat gloomy, “I was really upset and didn’t plan to open the gate for them. I was hoping to give them a surprise once they broke in.”

Third Grandaunt was woken up by the drilling sound from the stone wall. She got up suddenly feeling horrified. “Why are they drilling still? Are these b*st*rds planning on bombing again?” She thought.

Third Grandaunt didn’t dare take any risk so she quickly started the mechanic system of the hidden gate. With a loud sound, the secret gate on the stone wall was opened. The few people near the gate screamed and ran away immediately.

This result made Third Grandaunt satisfied. She sat down smiling and waiting for those ruthless intruders to appear.

As their elder, she was ready to teach them a good lesson, especially her two apprentices and the b*st*rd surnamed Li. They would be the last ones to have her mercy.
