Murong Xue frowned at the first sight of the workers because these hard-working people did not pay attention to sanitation. They were not supposed to be half-naked while working. It would cause problems if their sweat dropped on the products. What was worse, there was no air conditioner.

Her frown went deep as she found more and more problems when she walked around in the machine room. She then gestured for the department chief to come near.

"They don't have sterilized uniforms?" Murong Xue asked with a frowned face.

The department chief's voice got smaller and smaller, "Sterilized uniforms are in production and they will be ready in two days."

"I need to ask you something. Come to the office with me." Murong Xue took a cold look at him and walked out.

Long Yi and the others followed them out. He had already known Murong Xue founded Rise Group, but he had to confess that her tough measures were admirable after watching Murong Xue deal with the business these days. He did not think that Murong Xue was comparable to Huangfu Yi, but Murong Xue was much younger, which should win his respect.

All of a sudden, what Xiao Keli said to Long Yi in the basement occurred to him again. Xiao Keli told him about Murong Xue's second life, but he still could not believe such a ridiculous thing.

"How could you let them work without sterilized uniforms? What if the products are damaged? Why there are no air conditioners? Who is the factory manager here?" Murong Xue fired off questions the moment she walked into the office.

Murong Xue decided to abandon the first batch of products as she wanted to be responsible for customers.

With cold sweat trickling down, the department chief answered honestly, "A factory manager is supposed to be in charge of the factory, but we don't have one. I've asked the superiors about it, but they always tell me that they are understaffed."

Glancing over at Murong Xue, he continued, "It's my fault. I should get familiar with procedures before asking them to work. However, the losses would have been great if we had waited with workers and machines all ready. Besides, the branch has already sent the advertisement. It will affect the company if customers wait for the products for a long time."

Murong Xue's face remained cold, but she did not blame the department chief. She asked, "Then what about the air conditioners?"

The department chief still answered in a low voice, "Because we don't have money..." He had wanted to get air conditioners ready, but the fund was inadequate. On a tight budget, he had to economize.

"What do you mean you don't have enough money? Be clear." Murong Xue had seen the budget and she knew there should be more money than needed.

"The headquarters has allocated funds to us twice. The first one was for the branch of Rise Group and the other one was for the factory and the agricultural base. The budget for the factory and the agricultural base was not enough massively. I was told that the number was right when I asked the Accounting Department of the headquarters."

"Where are the accounts for the operation of capital? Who is responsible for this in the branch?"

"The accountant in the branch now is from the headquarters, which is decided by Mr. Gu. As for the accounts, you can check them in the Accounting Department of the branch. Do you want to take a look now?"

"Yes, I will."

"Then let me make a call first." The department chief took out his cellphone and was about to call the accountant.

But Murong Xue stopped him, "No. I want them to get caught off guard."

Hearing this, the department chief put away his cellphone. He now realized how qualified a leader Murong Xue was. "There are people who were born to be leaders!" He thought to himself.

"Shut down the factory first and abandon all the finished products."

The department chief changed his face dramatically and asked, "All the products? That would be great losses." The first batch of products meant a lot of money.

The department chief tried to persuade her, "But all the medicines are totally qualified. I've checked."

The department chief's heart twisted as he knew it was his responsibility.

Looking at his pale face, Murong Xue did not say anything to comfort him as she wanted to teach him a lesson. The quality of the produced medicine was the most important, and the medicine must be perfect. She would not allow any mistakes or cheating.

Then Murong Xue ignored the upset department chief and rose up, "Tell the workers to shut down the operation. Let's go to the branch first."

Murong Xue got into the car with Long Yi and the others directly and she began to consider the down side of her plan. She now knew the heavy burden on the headquarters brought by establishing branches nationwide. There were not so many people in the headquarters, and she guessed that other branches were in the same situation.

Long Yi remained silent as he felt that Murong Xue was not in a good mood today.

Murong Xue was indeed in a bad mood as Huangfu Yi's unusual behaviors made her realize that she actually knew nothing about him.

The department chief went to the machine room and informed all the workers.

Those simple workers got worried and wondered if they did anything wrong, but the department chief could only tell them that everything was fine and got into the car in a hurry.

Murong Xue went straight to the Accounting Department of the branch with the department chief and started to check the accounts. Even Long Yi was asked to lend a hand as she trusted him.

All of a sudden, the Accounting Department of the branch was in an uproar as almost everyone had cooked the books.

Murong Xue asked everyone to stay away from the accounts before she finished checking them. Seeing her cold face, people were speculating about what happened and many who had cheated on the accounts became white with terror.

Murong Xue only checked the major accounts and ignored the small mistakes for now as she did not have enough time. Otherwise, she would be exhausted long before finishing all the accounts.

Standing still aside, the department chief felt breathless.

Time went by, but nobody in the Accounting Department of the branch dared to leave. Everyone was waiting in silence and no one dared to remind Murong Xue of the time for dinner.

When it was past eight, Murong Xue finally looked up from the pile of accounts and stretched to relax. Seeing the room crowded with people, she asked in surprise, "Why are you still here? It's not work time and you should go home."

Everyone looked at each other bitterly and thought to themselves, "How should we leave for home while the boss is working here?"

Murong Xue understood why they did this very quickly and raised a smile, "Thanks, everyone. The dinner is my treat and you can order whatever you like. Let's celebrate the opening of the branch."

Hearing this, everyone felt relieved, smiling and cheering.

"Department chief, you know this place better than me. Pick a good restaurant and let's go for dinner." Murong Xue did not mention anything about the accounts although she already had a rough idea about it. There was no big problem with the accounts in the branch. There were only some small mistakes. She had wanted to tell them, but she gave up the idea when she found everyone was waiting for her. Now, after a tiring day, she decided to let them relax first and ask the department chief to deal with the minor mistakes later.

The department chief, at the same time, felt relieved as well. He felt that nothing Murong Xue saw today was satisfactory to her and it made him doubt his own ability.

Murong Xue patted him on the shoulder, "Good job. You've worked hard for the branch. You have to deal with many trivial things and the workload is heavy, so you can find someone capable as your assistant." She was comforting him by saying these as she knew she could not only put pressure on the staff.

Hearing this, the department chief was moved as he heard what he longed for and he nodded, "Chief executive, I'll do my best. As for the losses this time, I'll take care of it." He knew he was the one to blame for it, so he took the lead to take the responsibility even though Murong Xue did not say anything.

Looking at him, Murong Xue smiled, "Okay, I'm looking forward to your performance." She was pleased to see his courage and act and she now knew why Gu Ming sent him here.
