Chapter 93 Qi Yuan Got Sick

After sending Xuan Zhi away, Wu Xin could finally concentrate on her plan to seduce Qi Yuan. After all, she didn’t want Xuan Zhi to be jealous or upset. She could no longer ignore how he felt like she used to do since she had already fallen in love and would be affected by his happiness and sorrow.

After confirming that Xuan Zhi had gone far, Wu Xin took off her dress. As she couldn’t stand being completely naked in front of other men, Wu Xin went to take a thick coat to cover her breasts, the most beautiful part of a woman. But she looked even more seductive that way. After all, some things were best left to the imagination.

Making sure that her body was well-covered, Wu Xin touched the pearl on her hairpin to calm down and let out a harsh scream, “Ah!”

As soon as her voice rang in the room, Qi Yuan, who was waiting outside, kicked the door open. But what in front of him was such an alluring scene. Although Wu Xin’s face was not good-looking, her skin seemed smooth and delicate. And the naked shoulders also appeared inviting.

What made Qi Yuan’s heartbeat speed up the most was that Wu Xin threw herself directly into his arms, still screaming, “There is a bug. A big one. Help...” Fear and panic in her voice made her so pitiful that Qi Yuan almost wanted to hug her tight to give her some comfort. With her disfigured face buried in his chest, the scene seemed more than a picture.

There was no scent of cosmetics but Wu Xin’s natural fragrance. Smelling her scent and feeling her soft breasts against his chest, Qi Yuan didn’t know where to put his hands and where to look. After all, Wu Xin’s bear back was right below his eyes.

Qi Yuan’s body began to heat up, and an impulse he had never had before appeared. He couldn’t vent it out, nor did he know how to deal with it. Gradually, his nose bled. Now his whole body felt like boiling.

The bright red blood dripped out of his nose onto Wu Xin’s fair back, causing a strange feeling of seductiveness.

Wu Xin was not a naive girl and had long felt the stiffness and the change to his body and the warm, wet blood on her back. Estimating that it was the right time, she pushed him away.

“Master, you are bleeding. Are you okay?”

“I, I’m alright.” Qi Yuan quickly wiped off the blood under his nose with his sleeve, but the bleeding wouldn’t stop, “I just have a nosebleed.”

Wu Xin seemed worried about Qi Yuan. However, after hearing the word “nosebleed”, she acted as if she had just been aware of the awkward situation. Pretending she just understood why Qi Yuan was bleeding, Wu Xin ran directly to the bed and wrapped her naked body with a quilt. She seemed extremely shy and blushed with embarrassment.

“Master, why don’t you go out and calm down first?”

Finally, Qi Yuan came to his senses and ran out hurriedly. The heat that came out of his body had almost driven him insane. He was in urgent need of cold water to cool himself down...

After Qi Yuan left, Wu Xin crawled out of bed and put on some clothes casually. She then called servants to prepare her a hot bath and change all the bedding.

All along, Wu Xin looked calm without a trace of panic. Disguised by her scarred face, she didn’t even need to act as long as Qi Yuan was not with her.

After everything was cleaned, Wu Xin sat at the table and took the antidote to the Heat Poison. Drinking tea, she was waiting for Xuan Zhi’s return.

Right now, Wu Xin only wanted Xuan Zhi’s embrace. Fortunately, to buy Wu Xin’s favorite snacks, Xuan Zhi came back late and didn’t see the scene that would make him fly into a rage on the spot.

Not wanting Xuan Zhi to know about it, Wu Xin acted as nothing had happened. Staying in Xuan Zhi’s arms coquettishly, she opened her mouth, waiting for him to feed her, and enjoyed the relaxing moment that belonged to her alone.

...

Little did Wu Xin think about Qi Yuan, who was still soaking in the cold water with a red face after bumping into her half-naked body.

Just like that, Qi Yuan fell ill, despite practicing martial arts for many years and always in good physical condition. This was definitely the first time he had had a fever since he grew up. After all, soaking in cold water all night, no man made of flesh and bone could stand it.

Day after day, his temperature was higher and higher. Although Yun Su did not visit him, he arranged an imperial physician to treat him. Obviously, the emperor valued Qi Yuan a lot.

Sick and weak, Qi Yuan turned delirious and kept holding Wu Xin’s hands like a child grabbing his mother. Unconsciously, he yelled, “Mother, mother, mother...” As the high fever continued, it got even harder for him to control himself.

At this time, Qi Yuan was fragile and distressed. Because he was sick, for the first time, he removed his cold mask and held Wu Xin’s hand tightly for warmth like a helpless child.

Of course, Wu Xin would not push Qi Yuan away. For her, this was the best time to occupy his heart! She didn’t need to do anything more than take care of him, and he would be accustomed to her presence. It would be even better if he woke up to see Wu Xin by his side and fell in love with her so that he couldn’t do anything without her.

The young imperial physician rushed to the mansion of Qi Yuan early in the morning and hurried to treat him. Fortunately, Qi Yuan just caught a cold, but even the imperial physician couldn’t bring the temperature down so quickly. Complaining about his old colleagues secretly, he remembered how they forced him here for fear of the disfigured servant girls. Anyway, as a newcomer, he had to obey.

To be honest, the young imperial physician didn’t want to come either. He sincerely hoped that Qi Yuan would get better soon since he didn’t want to look at the ugly faces in this mansion every day. With those girls serving by his side, the physician could barely eat!

Therefore, the young imperial physician devoted himself to Qi Yuan’s treatment! In fact, he was more attentive than Qi Yuan’s own father. Watching him all day long, the physician even fed the medicine to Qi Yuan in person and kept changing the towel on Qi Yuan’s forehead to cool him down. The only thing he wished was that his patient could recover soon, so he could escape from the ugly servant girls who were scarier than ghosts and monsters!

Staying by Qi Yuan’s bed, the young imperial physician had already been confronted with Wu Xin’s disfigured face. But the nightmare had just begun. First, a girl with a face that looks as if she had been through a bad accident came to serve the dinner. But this girl was not the most terrifying. Then, there came an old maid, half of whose face was twisted together. Finally, another middle-aged maid appeared who looked as if she was skinned... Looking at them for two days, the young imperial physician still couldn’t get used to it. He was so terrified that his shaking hands could merely hold a bowl. But thanks to his dedication, Qi Yuan was healed in three days.

During these three days, Qi Yuan never let go of Wu Xin’s hand in his coma. Gradually, he began to murmur “Wu Xin” besides “mother”. Apparently, Wu Xin had already entered his heart.

As the high fever went down at dawn three days later, the young imperial physician finally breathed a sigh of relief. Without waiting for Qi Yuan to wake up, he escaped from the mansion. As if released from prison, he felt refreshed and decided to forget about all the terrifying faces he saw there.

Qi Yuan gradually opened his eyes. The first person he saw was Wu Xin, who had already fallen asleep lying against him. Knowing that Wu Xin had been with him all the time and taken care of him dedicatedly, Qi Yuan held her hands even tighter. A sense of happiness filled Qi Yuan’s heart.

As spring followed winter, the once indifferent man Qi Yuan had changed into a warmer person. He touched Wu Xin’s cheek with his free hand, and there was love in his eyes. For the first time, he wanted to let down his guard and try to accept someone. Unluckily, he still fell for the trap that she made for him.

Feeling an unfamiliar touch on her face, Wu Xin, who had always been a light sleeper, woke up and threw away the hand on her face. But as soon as she returned to her senses, Wu Xin immediately remembered what was going on now. “Master, you woke up. You finally woke up.”

“Yeah.” Qi Yuan quickly withdrew his hand. Both of them felt somewhat embarrassed.

To rectify the awkward situation and achieve better results, Wu Xin jumped directly into Qi Yuan’s arms. Anyway, Qi Yuan couldn’t see her face that way. She didn’t need to cry, but she did sound she was sobbing, “Thank god you woke up. Master, you know, you have been in a coma for three days. I was so scared that I could never talk to you again. It’s great that you’ve recovered.”

“Wu Xin, I’m fine.”

“I know.”

“I’m sorry that I made you worry.”

“It’s alright as long as you recovered, Master.”

The weather started to heat up slowly. In a blink of an eye, more than two months had passed. In half a month, the scorching summer would arrive.

Thanks to his training in martial arts and the care of the young imperial physician, Qi Yuan soon recovered and was healthier than before. However, no one expected that the first thing he did when he left the bed was let Wu Xin move into his yard. She was also specially arranged to live in a separate room closest to his own room, right next to him. Qi Yuan claimed that it would be more convenient for him to take care of her, but perhaps he was the one wanting to be cared for.

Naturally, Wu Xin would not object to such an arrangement. She wished to be closer to Qi Yuan! Yet, in this way, Xuan Zhi couldn’t stay with her every night and hug her to sleep. As a result, Wu Xin suffered from insomnia the first day she moved into the new room. Since she had become accustomed to Xuan Zhi’s embrace every night, she did feel a bit lonely by herself.

However, dealing with Qi Yuan, a martial artist who lived so close to her, Wu Xin couldn’t take the risk. Although Xuan Zhi said he was a much better martial artist than Qi Yuan, Wu Xin didn’t want him to take any risk. Besides, she couldn’t turn all her efforts in approaching Qi Yuan into a waste.
