HELENA'S POV:

Finally, today is my first day at work. I can't express my emotions in words right now. I'm excited, nervous, happy and anxious at the same time. I got ready in my formals, white shirt and knee length pencil skirt along with black thin stockings and black heels with my hair tied in high ponytail.

I applied lip balm and mascara and wore my wrist watch and sprayed some perfume and here I am, all set to go to office. I dialled dad's number as soon as I was ready cause his blessings is really important to me on my first day at work.

"All set for first day baby girl?" I could hear dad's excited voice from the other side. "Yes dad and I need your blessings." I was imagining dad's face, how happy he must be right now. Thinking about that only makes me so happy.

"My blessings are always with you baby girl. Rock it baby girl. All the best." His wishes gave different kind of energy and confidence inside me.

"Thank you dad. Are you having your food and medicines on time?" He has habit of forgetting most of the times and taking medicines on time is very important for him.

"Yes I am having my food and medicines on time. Don't worry about me and now go or else you'll get late at the very first day of the office."

"Okay dad, take care. Bye." After talking to dad, I dialled Andrew's number and he picked it up on fifth ring.

"Yes baby, how are you? I'm so sorry that I couldn't receive your call last night." I was finally so happy to hear his voice.

"It's okay Andrew and I'm good. What about you?"

"I'm good too. So, how is your new place? Everything settled?"

"Umm yes actually, today's my first day at work and...." I was about to say that I need his wishes for me when I heard his colleagues calling him from the other side of phone.

"Baby I'm so sorry. I'll have to go now but I'll call you as soon as I get free. Bye." Before I could say anything, he had already cut the call. I just wanted his wishes but alas! No worries, he might be really busy. I called Mel too but her phone was switched off. She didn't even call me for once or picked my phone. I guess, I'm not in her priority list.

I was lost in my thoughts when Merry's voice brought me out of my thoughts, "Are you planning to get late on the first day of office?" And she was absolutely right. I was getting late. I hurriedly carried my bag and phone and rushed towards dinner table to find both of them having breakfast.

"I'm so sorry ladies, you both had to do everything. But I promise I'll do the chores as well from now on." I said as I was not feeling comfortable with they both working without my contribution.

"We'll talk about that later but for now have your breakfast or else we'll be late." Gina said gulping mouthful of scrambled eggs. Without delaying further, I started having my breakfast.

After we were done, we walked towards the parking lot inside the housing company where the bus from the company would pick us up. The ones who can afford their own vehicle could use their own but this service from the company is really good for interns like us who haven't started earning yet. Gina and I sat together where as Merry sat on the seat facing us and soon others too joined the bus. Soon the bus reached into the company and we were chatting and laughing all the way.

As soon as I stepped out of the bus, I was in front of a thirty storey building. "RED DIAMOND GROUPS OF COMPANIES" was written so beautifully with the blocks on the building and what astonished me the most was a little children park on a corner of the compound! A children park inside a company, that's something I haven't seen yet.

All of us walked towards the entrance and when we reached their, Gina Merry stopped walking and turned towards me. "Heli, my department is on fifth floor and I'll have to take a turn from here and Gina's department is on ninth floor and she'll have to cross the same path. Your department is on twenty eighth floor so you'll have to take a lift from that corner. Now, all the best and we'll meet you at lunch break okay?" Merry said ponting towards the right corner.

I bid them goodbye and took the lift for twenty eighth floor. I was walking towards the reception on that floor when I heard a voice, "Zayden, Please don't run." I turned around to see the source of voice and that's when someone bumped on me.
