HELENA'S POV:

I turned around and that's when someone bumped into me. He was about to fall after colliding into my legs when I held his little hand and he didn't fall. He peeped through the space between his little fingers towards me as he was covering his eyes with his spare hand most probably due to fear of falling down.

I found his action really cute and I can tell he has captivating dark black eyes. Finally after a minute of peeping, he slowly pulled his hand away and looked at me with fear screaming through his expression.

I scooted down to reach to his level and he was blinking his eyes continuously looking at me. "Sorry aunty. I won't do it again. Don't say it to mommy please." He said in his baby voice with those puppy eyes and I couldn't help but smile looking at him.

"Why will mummy scold you?" I said acting innocently and he nodded his head. "I will not tell to mummy but only in one condition." As soon as I said this, he started biting his nails with his eyes showing confusion.

"And that condition is, you will have to be my friend." His eyes shined in happiness as I said this. "You will be my friend?" he asked in excitement and I nodded at him in equal excitement. "Yes! I will have two big friends now." He said showing two little fingers.

"So, what's the name of my new friend?" I asked pulling his chubby cheeks. "Zayden. And what is your name?"

"Helena..." as I said my name, he tried to say it, "Hele..na. Your name is so hard." He said shaking his head in helplessness making me laugh. "You can call me Heli." I said poking his nose. "Heli, yes. This is easy." He was talking to me when a man came calling his name.

"Zayden, you promised to be a good boy, didn't you? Why aren't you obeying your daddy? Do you want me to tell to your mummy?" The man picked him up and Zayden hurriedly shook his head in a no.

"Sorry young lady, my boy disturbed you. Well I'll have to take a leave now. Excuse us." He walked away with little Zayden in his arms and zayden blew a flying kiss to me while his dad was walking away. I smiled at him but then I remembered that I still have to report to Mr. Henry Collins. I rushed towards reception and asked about the department and rushed towards department after getting direction.

A lady of about twenty three or twenty four was engulfed into some files and there was no sign of any other people in the cabin when I reached to the door which was opened.

"Late on first day?" The lady said still engulfed in those files. She sneered and then looked at me from top to bottom. "God knows what made you work as assistant to Mr. Henry when you can't even be punctual on the very first day." She kept the files away and then walked towards me.

"You see, that table?" She said pointing at the table in the corner of room. "Mr. Collins has gone out for some meetings and would return only after lunch. So go and fill up your informations on the file there." She gave an evil smirk and continued, "You can celebrate your success of being assistant to Mr.Collins for the time being but I'm the future legal advisor for sure."

She walked away walking as a queen and I was speechless. First day at office and here I'm getting threats already. Wow! Well, I even got a new friend so that's not too bad. And talking about future legal advisor, I'll give my best no matter what and I've faith upon myself. I brushed all my thoughts and started filling up my personal informations.

As I had nothing to do, I started reading some law books present on the shelf and walked towards the junction where we three had separated when it was lunch time. We three walked towards cafeteria and had our lunch. I must say, every corner of this office is amazing.

"So, how was your first day?" asked Gina while I was looking at the children park from there. "I got a cute friend and I guess unwanted rival as well." I replied with my eyes still stuck on the park.

"Hey, why does the company have a children park here?" I couldn't hold my query anymore. "Well as much as we've known, a lot of staff here are single mothers. So this park is for their convenience so that they could work without stressing about their children. There are even babysitters for the children." Merry's answer made me shocked. Okay, now this is way more than what a worker expects from the company.

As I was looking at the park, I saw my little friend walking towards the other children and a smile crept on my lips. "What is making you smile huh?" Gina asked hitting on my shoulders playfully and I pointed towards Zayden. "Look, he's my cute friend." And as soon as I said that, they both looked at me as if they've seen some ghost.

"Do you even know who is he?" I nodded as a no as I have no idea about him though his dad looked like a businessman. "He's Zayden Cullen, the only son of one of the owner of the company, Mrs. Diana Cullen and she is said to be the most ruthless woman in the country. And what she hates the most is a stranger being around her son. I hope she didn't see you with her son."
