HELENA'S POV:

It's been a year, a whole year now from the day when I joined the company as an intern. This whole year has been a roller coaster ride for me. Lots of things have changed within this year but some things are still the same.

My day still starts and ends with dad's call. I still talk to Andrew but these days, our bond has grown stronger. He has got a permanent job now in the same techno company where Mel works and he is being paid well. We both talk on video and audio calls everyday and we've planned our future as well.

Even Mel has started talking with me frequently these days, maybe the distance between our home has lessen the distance between our heart and I'm happy with our bond which has grown more stronger.

My new friend, my dear Zayden still meets me whenever he comes to office and even calls me whenever he is alone and shares everything with me, especially about his hero who is his other big friend.

Zayden keeps on talking all the time about his hero, he's handsome, he's kind, he loves me, he does this he does that.... I wonder who is this "Hero". But I must say, Zayden is one of the cutest child I've seen. He always reminds me of those children in the orphanage.

My bond with Gina and Merry has grown much stronger within this year. They've now become my best friends as well though Mel will always hold a special place in my heart. We share our chores, emotions, happiness and sadness with each other. They know everything about me so do I. They even celebrated my birthday on midnight in moonlight with a beautiful cake which was one of my fantasy. They've now become part of my life.

Alvira and mine bond has worsen to be honest. It's not that I didn't try to maintain peace with her but she always keeps on taunting and glaring at me. Well I've always ignored her glares and taunts but she's now been creating problems for me. Few days back, she deleted all the contents from my presentation but luckily, I had stored it in another pendrive.

I've always been ignoring her tantrums and tricks but I'll have to stand for myself if she'll keep on creating hurdles for me. I'm not a kind of woman who'll stand in a corner and cry.

Mr. Collins has been a great mentor to me. He has been guiding me throughout this year and this journey has been amazing. Well I've got to learn a lot about the company as well. This company was established seven years ago and there are two partners for the company.

One is the chairwoman Mrs. Diana Cullen and the other is CEO of the company. Well his identity has been hidden among everyone except for the board members of the company and seniors of the legal department for legal purposes. And as far as I know, his identity has not been revealed because of security purpose.

And the best thing is, I'm getting amazing payment. The payment I'm getting is much more than most of the permanent workers in most of the companies. I've been saving all those money for dad and also for buying an apartment once I complete my internship so that I can bring dad along with me. Once I bring dad here with me, Andrew will also shift here and find a better job. We'll live a happy life then.

"Heli, where are you? Come soon we're getting late for office." Merry's voice brought me out of my thoughts. "I'm coming Merry." I took my bag and important files and walked towards dinner table and had my breakfast with them and walked towards bus stop inside the housing apartment.

I have an important presentation to give in front of my department today so I was mentally preparing myself all the way to office. Just as I stopped in front of reception on twenty eighth floor, Alvira came in front of me.

"Mr. Collins wants you to go to his cabin and bring the blue file in his table." She said as rudely as ever. I had a doubt on her words so I looked at her not believing her words. "What? aren't you his assistant? He wants the blue file which contains agendas for today's presentation. He had asked me to inform you about it. Rest is your choice." She walked away and I walked towards sir's cabin cause I know that blue file is important.

Just as I entered the cabin and walked towards the table, I heard a creek sound. As I turned around, I found the door closed. I walked towards the door and tried to open it but damn, someone has locked it from outside.

I hurriedly took the file from the table and walked towards the private elevator of the cabin that leads to the ground floor directly. Thank god there's an extra way out of the cabin. I rushed towards another elevator and pressed button for twenty eighth floor and ran towards the meeting hall as fast as I could.

"Looks like Ms. Helena isn't serious about her work.Well even I can do this presentation if you want sir." Alvira was saying it to Mr.Collins and damn, I should've guessed it. It's Alvira again. "How can you start the meeting without listing out agendas Ms.Jonas?" I entered the hall saying so, I could see her face turning pale as soon as she saw me.

"Let's start the meeting now." Mr.Collins words brought her back from daze and she sat back to her chair. I gave my presentation and everyone appreciated my work. "Alvira, I need to talk to you." I said once everyone left the hall.

"But I don't want to." She was about to go when I said again, "Neither do I. But you keep on invading my life time and again. Alvira, I'm concentrating upon my work and it would be better if you do on yours. These cheap stunts doesn't suit on an eligible worker like you." Before she could say anything further, I walked out of the hall.
