HELENA'S POV:

Why is my luck playing such a trick with me? Out of all the people of this universe, why had he to be my boss? Why had my bag to be exchanged with his and why did I even.. even eat cookies from his bag? Though it wasn't a big deal but he made such a big issue out of it. Wait, he still has fifty percent of deal with me as per the great Mr. Calvin Klein.

It's not that I'm scared of him. Nah, not at all. It's just that I'm tired of my luck, first the betrayal and trust issues and now this. I'm just tired, the only thing that was good in my life right now was my job. I was happy that my job was peaceful and easy but I see the twist coming up here as well. Can't the almighty bless me with a little peace and happiness to me?

"Hey Ms. Parker." Mr. CEO snapped his fingers in front of my eyes bringing me out of my thoughts. "Urh..yes." I tried to act normal replying to him. "Heroine, he is my hero and my best friend just like you. So you two should also be best friends, then we three will play together."

"No Zayden, that's not possible, not even in my dreams." That was what I wanted to tell but how can I break his heart? I just gave a smile to him. I sensed that I'll be in a great mess if I don't walk away from here right now so I thought of excusing myself. "Ah excuse me, I've got some works to do." I smiled at Diana and pinched Zayden's cheeks without looking at him. Once I reached to my cabin, I finally let out a sigh.

"Whatever Helena. You just need to focus upon your work no matter who comes into company. You just focus upon your work, just give best to your job. That's it." I reminded my brain and sat on my chair before starting my work. Our company was about to lock a deal with another company and I had to look over the proposal before presenting it in front of our company heads.

I looked after the proposal and it was absolutely fine. I started getting ready for the meeting that was after half an hour with the board of directors. As it was time, I walked towards the meeting hall with my assistant. I was five minutes earlier so I started preparing every thing needed for the meeting. Everyone started coming inside the room one by one and I was greeting all of them.

At the end, Diana entered the hall. I greeted her too as she is the chairwoman of the company and we keep our personal lives out of professional lives. She greeted me back before starting the meeting. "Ladies and gentlemen, before we start the meeting I'd like to introduce you to someone important from the company. So everyone, welcome the CEO of the Red Diamond Groups of Companies, Mr. Aiden Rudolf." As she finished saying, everyone's eyes turned towards the door and soon we heard footsteps.

Mr. Aiden Rudolf aka Mr.Calvin Klein came inside the hall like a boss. "Ah well, he's actually the boss of the company duh." My mind gave me an unwanted suggestion, as if I don't know that. Everyone greeted him including me.

"Personal grudges asides Helena, don't let your professionalism fail in front of him." I reminded my mind again before I could get instigated looking at him. "Good morning ladies and gentlemen, before starting the meeting, I want to let you all know one thing. I don't tolerate carelessness, excuses and repeated mistakes. No compromises with work, is that clear?" He spoke in front of everyone so seriously that I was shocked as hell!

I can't believe he's the same irritating, nagging human. He looks so serious, so focused and his face looks... scary now. "So now, let's talk about the proposal." As he said that, I came back to my senses. I stood up from my sit to explain about the proposal. I started explaining everything, the pro and cons of signing the proposal. I was done with explaining everything within forty five minutes.

Everyone clapped their hands once I was done with the presentation and all the board of directors started discussing about it. "Well all of us are convinced with the proposal, what do you think Mr. Aiden?" Asked one of the member of board of directors. He then looked at me straight which made my heart skip a beat cause I was seeing this look of him for the first time in his eyes.

"Ms. Parker, the proposal is good. Just add a point on it, they should be careful regarding any kind of scandal. We'll withdraw our investment if they create any kind of mess, after all we can't risk our name in the business world." He said expressionless, making me wonder who he actually is.

"Yes sir." I replied confidently. After discussing all the details, all of us dispersed and returned to our own works. The first thing I did after getting into my cabin was to drink whole glass of water.

I can't believe this man, I would've never trusted if anyone would've said he is irritating and talkative if I wouldn't have seen it myself. Wait, it's good thing right? He won't be irritating me anymore and I'll be able to work seriously without any stress. Oh yes, finally, I'll be able to work as I used to be. Pheww... at least I'll be free from this stress. God, keep on blessing me this way please.
