HELENA'S POV:

It's been a week since everything happened and almost everything is sorted out except for dad. I have started living the way I used to without minding whatever that Andrew guy said and Mr. Aiden's proposal. I'm indeed grateful to him cause he put a lot of effort to make it easy for me and didn't discuss the topic again and respecting his efforts, I started behaving normally with him. Though I call him Mr. Aiden despite of his requests of no formalities. I feel really awkward to call him with any other names since I got to know that he knows the nickname I had given to him which was embarrassing.

But I'm worried about dad. Though he says he's okay but I know he's not. Today when I went to his room to check up on him early in the morning, I found him sleeping hugging mom's photo and I'm sure he might have talked for hours looking at her photo. And I know I am the reason why he's so stressed, though be tries to act strong he's worried about me. I'm feeling helpless right now, how do I assure him that I'm okay? Well, am I really okay? But does that matter? No right. I just want him to relax and trust on me, I want him to trust on me that I'm strong enough to face these situations.

"Where are you lost Ms. thief?" I was startled to see him sitting on the chair in front of me, when did he come to my cabin?

AIDEN'S POV:

I was right, I knew that she must be lost somewhere when she didn't pick my calls for three whole time. "Ah... I'm sorry, did you have any kind of work?" She tried to act professionally but the tension in her face couldn't be hidden. "What's the matter Ms. thief?" She was hesitating to speak but after my insistence, she finally spoke out. "I'm worried about dad. He doesn't look fine these days and he was looking extremely sad today."

He must be worried about her, I had tried to make him understand that he doesn't have to worry but he's a father after all. "Then just make a call and talk to him." She nodded at me and dialled his number, but even after calling him for five times he didn't pick up which made her worried and me too. "Why isn't he picking up my call, he never does that." She was fidgeting from one corner to the other calling him time and again when something stroke my mind. "Hello G, are you still there? Okay then can you go and check upon uncle Parker? He's not picking call. Okay, yeah call back soon."

She was on verge of crying when I looked at her after ending the call. I walked towards her and held her shoulders. "Don't worry, I've asked G to check on him. She's nearby, everything will be okay." I made her sit and made her drink a glass of water to calm her down. About after ten minutes, my phone rang and it was G.

"Aiden! Aiden!" As soon as I picked up the call, I heard her panicked voice which increased my heartbeat. "G, what's the matter? Are you okay, is uncle okay?" Looking at my state, she came towards me and looked at me, as if she's asking what actually happened. "I'm on the way to hospital, you get there with Helena. I'm texting you location. Kennedy is unconscious." Without speaking anything further, she directly cut the call and here she was waiting for my answer. What do I tell her, how do I tell her? While I was trying to think something, my phone beeped and it was location sent by G.

"Will you please speak anything? Please I'm scared..." A drop of tear escaped from her eyes and I went blank. "Let's go." I pulled her with me and started driving on the maximum speed as soon as we reached to the parking area through private elevator. "Please... sob sob... tell me, is my dad okay? Sob sob.. I am scared." She broke into tears as we reached to half way which broke my heart. "Please don't cry, he will be okay Helena." I held her hand with my one hand while the other one was on steering.

I was running while holding her hand inside the hospital as soon as we reached there and we found G waiting for us at the reception. "G, please tell me. What happened to dad? Sob sob... Is he... sob sob... is he okay?" G pulled her into a hug and patted her back. "Don't worry Helena, let's go. I was waiting for you both, there's no one with him. Let's go." G started walking ahead while we were running behind her.

"Operation theatre! Why... Why is he in operation theatre? G... sob sob.. please tell me what happened please..." She broke into tears and fell into her knees. "He'll be okay, Don't worry please." I tried to calm her but she was crying bitterly. I was still coaxing her when the doctors came out of OT. "Doctor, what happened to my dad? Is he okay?" She asked in a single breath while her body was continuously shaking.

"His bicuspid valve is not functioning. We'll have to operate his heart as soon as possible. Please sign the consent form and contact with accounts department. We'll start the operation right away."
