AIDEN'S POV:

Ms. Amanda asked me for a dance and I couldn't deny to her so I thought I'll just dance for few minutes and excuse myself. So I was dancing with her making sure to maintain the distance as much as possible when my eyes fell on her, my wife. I didn't fail to notice how she was trying to avoid looking at us but at the end, she couldn't help but take glances at us. I'm not sure but I felt as if she's not happy with the fact that I'm dancing with her. And something came in my mind, why not to tease and irritate her a bit more? With this evil idea in my mind, I danced a little longer than I had planned with her. I didn't fail to notice her gloomy face with every second and I was satisfied to the core to see my wife getting jealous.

The way she grabbed out dish from waiter made me chuckle. I was adoring the way she was eating until... I felt her behaving strange. I noticed her holding her head with one hand and the other one was still holding the bowl and my heart started racing. I ran towards her and just as I was about to reach her, the bowl fell from her hand and she closed her eyes while her body lost it's strength. Thankfully I reached to her at the right time and held her in my arms.

"Helena.... Helena.. Open your eyes." I patted on her cheeks but she showed no movement making me scared. Liam came forward with a glass of water and sprinkled some drops on her face but still she showed no movement and now I was shook. I was blank, not knowing what to do. "Aiden, we need to take her to the hospital, right away." Liam's words brought me back to senses and I looked at her face which had turned pale. Every one were surrounding us gossiping and looking at us with doubtful eyes. Only if she wanted to disclose about our relationship, I'd have shut their mouth forever but I have to respect her decision. "Don't worry Aiden, I'll handle them. You go to hospital with Liam." I knew Diana would do it well so I left from there holding her in my arms.

Liam drove in full speed towards the hospital and I kept on rubbing her palms all the way expecting her to open her eyes at least for once but she didn't. She was immediately taken to emergency ward and the doctors started their treatment. With the every moment passing on, I was getting scared; scared of losing her. Her pale and lifeless face was coming to my vision time and again and a fear of losing her was dominating my heart. As much as I tried to think positive, my mind was having negative thoughts but I had to be strong; for her, for me, for us.

As the doctor walked out from the ward discussing with his assistant, I took long strides towards him. As if he knew what was going on my mind, "Mr. Aiden, she is now out of danger." The doctor said it out before I could even ask making my heart relax a bit. "But what had happened to her doctor? She was all fine this evening." I was anxious to know about it, what made her condition so worse out of nowhere?

"Mr. Aiden, on the test we conducted, we found out her body reacting to the food she ate last which we found out to be mushroom. Such reactions are usually caused when alcohol is added to the mushroom which makes it poisonous. I'm pretty sure that she ate the same poisoned mushroom." My eyes widened in shock to listen to his words, she was... Poisoned! "Can we meet her doctor?" I just wanted to see her myself and assure that she was fine. "She's unconscious right now. She'll come back to senses probably within an hour or two. You can take her back once she turns conscious and after some tests. And you have to pay special attention towards her diet."

The doctor moved out after explaining everything in detail. I dialled out Diana's number immediately and explained everything the doctor told. "I want you to go in depth and find out about it." Diana was also angry about what happened with her and she promised me to find out about it as soon as possible. I was waiting for her to get back to consciousness and them Liam's phone rang. He excused himself and went to attend the call.

"Aiden, there's a news." He was looking all serious and tensed. I nodded at him to continue speaking, "Two of our staffs have been taken to hospital and they've been reported to face same complication. I think, this was an accident." Althouh Liam said it as an accident, I was still not in ease.

"Liam, I still want you to find it out about that. Make sure to look upon every single detail about the incident. I can't be at ease until I find it out about it properly." I just want to make sure she's not at any kind of risk. I'll have to pay special attention towards her safety now, I can't let anything happen to her.
