MELISSA'S POV:

"Wow beauty, you're looking too hot on this dress, look at that sexy legs oh!" I felt disgusting when one of the investor of our company looked at me with lustful gaze and passes such comments. I was there to present the file that Ms. Amanda wanted to pass over to him. I passed the file to him but I smelled lust with the way he touched my hand while taking the file. I couldn't see who he was as everyone's face was hidden behind the mask but his eyes were enough to show his intentions.

ignoring upon his statement, I calmed myself and repeated as politely as I could again, "Sir, Ms. Amanda wants to get the file back after your signature right away." His lips stretched to give a dirty smirk and he went through the file and signed on the papers. He forwarded the file towards me and I took a breath of relief thanking God that I didn't have to struggle much but all my happiness went in vain when he grabbed my hand when I was about to walk away after getting the file. "Excuse me sir, I need to get back to work." I tried to move away but his grip was too tight for me to get free.

"Oh just look at those eyes, even after being hidden behind the mask, it has that capability to kill anyone with them." I never knew that I was changed to this extent that the same words that I used to feel as the best comment some months ago would now haunt me to the bottom. "Sir, please leave me. I have to go." He was giving a sinister smile all the time without leaving my hand when a voice echoed on the VIP corner. "What's going on here?" My eardrums didn't fail to realize whose voice was it and my heart started marching even faster when the same cologne came nearer to my nostrils.

The man hurriedly left my hand and stood up as soon as he realized who was coming towards him. "Ah, it's you Mr. Aiden, nothing serious. I was just complementing the lady." Though his face was hidden behind the mask, his aura could still make you vomit blood out of fear. Taking the chance, I got myself out from there with the fine towards Ms. Amanda cause she'll probably think I was roaming around and not sincere towards my work though that's not true. Every time he comes, he becomes my saviour and every single time he earns even more respect for him in my heart and those feelings I try to suppress blooms out even merrier. Is this what people call it love?

HELENA'S POV:

After driving for half an hour when I was finally back to home, I threw myself on the bed with my heart bearing that unknown pain, pain of him being apart from me. It's bee a month, a whole month since he's gone. I thought he was busy on the launch for whole week so he didn't get time to talk to me but now, it's already been two weeks after that and he's still not talking to me. He's been rarely talking with mom as well, as much as I know he called mom twice during this time and told that he was busy on the next project there itself but now my heart is over his lies. I know he's ignoring me and my heart is bleeding thinking about this behaviour all this time with me. This one month has been the toughest month of my life, I've cried out as much as I've cried my whole life in this month only and I'm feeling helpless.

I grabbed my phone from the pillow while my body still lying down on the bed and dialled his number he'd at least pick my call this time. With the first ring, my heart started thumping aloud which turned into despair when the call ended without being picked. I threw my phone on the other side of bed in frustration and closed my eyes to calm myself but the image of his smiling face came in front of my eyes and a pools of tears started forming in my eyes. With every single memories passing through my brain cells, the teardrops I didn't want to fall made their way on their own.

His portrait was the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes and I subconsciously moved towards it while my hands started moving around his face which was radiating even through the portrait. "Why are you doing this to me? Why did make me so weak? You made me addicted to you, to everything related to you and now when I know I can't live without you, you're nowhere to be found. You said you loved me and your actions proved it every time. But was your love so easy to let you stay so peacefully when your memories are haunting me here?" All I could do was to talk to his portrait, expecting that he'll hear my words if I do so.

I was feeling difficult to breath due to the constant flow of tears so I moved towards the window facing balcony to have some air when my eye fell upon the dream catcher he gifted me that day, when I had brought bow tie for him. "Aiden, all I'm dreaming day and night is seeing you again in front of me. Please come back."

AIDEN'S POV:

A lone drop of tear escaped when my phone stopped vibrating after her call. I always wished to see your name on my screen but when it's happening now, I can't even pick it up though I'm dying to do so. I'm scared you'll hate me and I won't be able to take it. It's better if I keep on hating myself instead of facing your hatred. My love for you has grown even deeper all this time, everything around me reminds me of you which makes it even harder to avoid you.

My phone rang again which grabbed my attention and it was Fidel.

"Yes Fidel, any update?"

"Yes boss, this is the second attempt of attack on Madam after you left. Today, her car was nearly hit by another car while she was returning home. We couldn't catch up that car, seems like someone strong is behind everything."

My blood started boiling out of anger while my heart was beating irregularly with fear of anything happening to her.

"Fidel, keep an eye on her, I'll be back by tomorrow. I need to keep her safe." I cut the call after talking to him and left out a sigh. I can't just sit here and let her face danger alone. I'll have to go back and protect her, though I'm afraid if she'll ever let me be around her again.
