HELENA'S POV:

Finally another boring day came to an end and I drove myself back to home, dejected and tired. I don't know why but I feel suffocating in office, especially every time when I have to pass through his cabin. I used to try to find a way to avoid going in his cabin earlier and now I always find a way so that I could get inside and try to feel his presence there.

As soon as I entered the hall after parking my car, the strong smell of food hit my nostrils and I could guess something special was being made. Just as I was about to walk towards kitchen, mom came out of kitchen followed by maids where she was instructing them for preparing chicken wings which is his favourite. Just as the maids moved out after getting instructions, her gaze fell upon me and her lips curved into a beautiful smile which I saw after a long time. Curious about the reason behind her smile, I walked towards her and hugged her to which she gave a tight hug.

"I'm happy that you're back home early Heli. Now go and freshen up, we'll have a family dinner together. Finally after so long, we all will stay together for dinner. Thank god Aiden is back." She left out a sigh but her last sentence made me dumbstruck. He... he's back? My eyes moved around every corners of the hall to see him but he was nowhere to be found. "Mom, I'll come after freshening up." I kissed on her forehead and ran upstairs towards our room. Just as I was about to turn the knob on, my heart started racing like horse, how will be react on seeing me? Wait, how will I react on seeing him?

"I'll surely beat him until he turns black and blue, he need to pay back for what he did. But, would I really do that? Ughh! But I'll at least ask for answers, why did he ignore me like that? Relax Helena, relax." After calming myself, I finally turned the knob on with my heart thumping so loud. My eyes monitored each and even corner of the room which had no single trace of him but I could smell his fresh cologne throughout the room. I got impatient when I found even the washroom empty and in order to find him soon, I freshen up myself and walked downstairs. Everyone was there in the hall except for him, and I just wanted to know about him. I was still thinking of a way to know where he was without embarrassing myself in front of everyone when someone whispered on my ears.

"He's out for some work and will be back soon. Don't be so impatient." I jolted out due to sudden voice coming in my ears and I found her, Diana giving a smirk looking at me and my face instantly flushed red. In order to avoid embarrassment, I marched towards kitchen and started looking over final preparations. When it was time for dinner, everyone settled on the dinner table waiting for him and I couldn't help but glance at the empty seat besides me time and again.

"Ah this man has no sense of responsibility towards family. Who makes family wait for dinner?" Mom said angrily whole folding her arms on her chest and just then G said, "Look here he is." Everyone turned around to look at him and so did I. Finally, my eyes got view of the person I was dying to look. He looked pale, he looked weak and restless. His eyes were heavy as if he hasn't slept for ages and were covered with dark circles underneath.

"Sorry everyone, please start having food, I'll be right back." He walked upstairs and my eyes followed his steps until he disappeared into the corridors. Everyone started serving food for themselves and so did I. But I thought he must be really hungry so I served for him as well. He just walked around and sat besides me but didn't even take a single glance at me making me frustrated. He quietly started eating while answering to random questions from dad, G and mom and didn't even looked at me for once and I was losing patience now but what could I do in front of everyone? Nothing.

After everyone's dinner, all of us settled in hall for sometime. "I'll be back after short walk, I need some fresh air guys. Excuse me." He walked out excusing himself and everyone dispersed in their respective rooms one after the other leaving me alone in the hall. Fifteen minutes, half an hour, an hour passed by. But he still didn't come back and I couldn't hold on anymore. I dialled his number but as throughout this month, he didn't pick my call and that was the limit. Enough of this hide and seek, I need my answers now. I wrapped myself into black shawl and walked out of the villa and thought of a way to find him. Thinking of the place he could be, I got something in my mind.

I started walking into the woods behind the villa as fast as I could and finally after five minutes, I reached there. In front of his tree house. My guess turned into belief when I saw the lamp lit inside the tree house. Without a second thought, I opened the door with to find him lying on the small wooden bed with his hand on his forehead covering his eyes and a wave of anger swept in my heart. Here I was waiting for him and look at him!

After two big steps, I reached in front of him and without thinking about anything, I grabbed his collar and pulled towards myself. "Who do you think you are? Why the hell are you behaving like this? What's wrong with you?" While shaking him by his collar, I slipped off on the floor and ended up landing on his chest with a bang.
