Chapter 7 Attitude Comes First When Asking for Help

As the saying goes, even a clay man would have his temper.

Li Aizhen finished her fierce words in one breath. She propped herself up and looked like she was going to roll up her sleeves and fight with someone.

This time, Li Aizhen had been forced too hard. If she didn't stand up for Xia Aijun and let the factory fire him so easily, her family could live frugally without enough income. She could not give anything to her parents' family, but what about the poor orphan of Xia Aijun's family! Although there was a pension, life in the northwest was already tough. In addition, many children need to go to school. Without 100 yuan a month, who would know how difficult it would be.

"You've been on the battlefield and fought with your life on the line! You paid for your job with your life! Even if I have to go all out against them, I'll get justice for you!"

Xia Aijun was a cold and hard-hearted man. When he heard this, his eyes turned completely red. He knew that Li Aizhen, who had always been timid and crying, had become so brave at this moment because of him.

"The factory will give the workers who were fired a sum of money, and I'll use it to do businesses. We'll have a good life."

He stepped forward and put his arm around Li Aizhen. He comforted Xia Wan, whose face was full of worry, with a smile. Then he put his arm around Li Aizhen's shoulder and went to the room. Obviously, he was about to convince Li Anzhen.

Xia Wan sighed silently and continued to do what she was doing. After giving out the ball stove, she began to wash the vegetables and cook.

Everyone yearned for a stable and carefree life, but life would never be smooth sailing. All they could do was to find the best way to deal with these twists and turns.

Class jump would be obtained in the game of variables. She might have a chance to have it a try of what she thought.

When it was time for supper, Xia Aijun persuaded Li Aizhen, whose eyes were red, to come out to eat. The three of them ate without tasting. Xia Aijun washed the dishes and cleaned up, but Xia Wan came to visit her neighbor, Li Ping, carrying something in her hand. It was very bright in Li family house .

Although the Li family's house looked similar to the Xia family's, with two rooms separated on the right side with wooden boards, a kitchen and a bathroom on the left and a living room in the middle, it was obviously much brighter here. The furniture was neat and new with fake flowers on it. Even there was a red curtain specially nailed with colorful plastic beads on the door frame .

She looked rich and dazzling, but Xia Wan didn't even look at these beautiful decorations. She didn't look around and walked into the room naturally.

At this time, the Li family had also finished dinner. Xu Tang was cleaning up the table. When she saw Xia Wan coming, she quickly greeted her.

"Have you eaten yet? Your uncle bought fish today. If you haven't had supper, come and have a taste."

Xia Wan waved her hand generously and explained the purpose of her visit.

"Hi, Mr. Li, Mrs. Xu, and Xiao Yong. I've had supper. I just come over and hang out."

Li Ping was smart. He had already guessed what Xia Wan meant when she came in with the bags. He winked at Xu Tang. Xu Tang quickly cleaned up the table, took Xiao Yong away, and made green bean tea for them.

Xia Wan put the things on the table, sat down, and took a sip of green bean tea.

The green bean tea was slightly salty and fragrant. In the steam, the red and green was setting off each other. The stir-fried green beans, and the red carrots and orange peels formed a delightful contrast, which is colorful.

This was the tea that people in Lake City made to entertain distinguished guests, which was enough to show that Li Ping attached great importance to her, which also gave her more confidence in her next plan.

Her eyes were and her smile was calm. With her delicate and beautiful facial features, Xia Wan was like a rose blooming in the early morning, charming but not sharp.

"Last time, when my dad was in hospital, it was Mr. Li who was busy helping my family. Otherwise, I was too young to knew something. Thank you for your help, Mr. Li. I also contacted an old experienced doctor who was good at surgery. Here is a little gift of some tea leaves and local honey from my mom's hometown in the countryside. They may not taste great, but they are safe to eat without any pesticides or other harmful substances."

Li Ping was the middleman. It was not proper for Xia Wan to send the gifts directly to the old doctor, so she directly prepared two copies and put the favor on Li Ping.

"Okay, I'll ride a bicycle to deliver it to the director tomorrow. It's the same doctor who treated your father last time. Don't worry."

Of course, Li Ping knew what was going on. At the same time, he couldn't help sighing with emotion that Xia Aijun was so lucky to have such a considerate niece as his adopted daughter. Meanwhile, he glared at Xiao Yong, who was peeking his head into the kitchen door to sneak a taste of honey. When his father glared at him, he quickly pulled his head back and accidentally hit the door frame.

Li Ping looked at his silly son, who was crying with snot and tears all over his face. He felt that what he had taught his son was in vain.

Xia Wan did not look back to laugh at him. After all, Xiao Yong was a normal child. He had his own innocence and curiosity at this age. He was not like her, who was just an adult in a little girl's clothes.

The smile on her face remained unchanged.

"About your layoff, Mr. Li."
