Chapter 10 What Are You Still Standing Still for?

The next day, Jiang Li cleaned herself up early. After repeatedly confirming that her makeup was decent, she took a taxi to the audition location given by Lu Yishen.

As soon as she entered the hotel lobby where the audition was held, she was stopped by the security guards.

"Hello, Miss. Please show me your invitation to the audition."

Jiang Li was stunned for a second before she quickly reacted and explained, "I'm Jiang Li, an actress of the Glory Group. Our boss sent me here for the audition."

She rolled her eyes and hurriedly took out her work card from her bag. "This is my work card. I'm really an actress."

"I'm sorry, Miss. We can't let you in without an invitation." The security guard stretched out his arm to stop Jiang Li with a serious expression.

Just as Jiang Li was determined to fight for it again, the security guard pushed her away and said impatiently, "Don't get in the way."

Jiang Li was caught off guard and almost fell. Fortunately, she was able to hold on to the pillar in time, and the original passage was instantly filled with people.

The security guards, who were originally fierce, instantly fawned over him and bowed their heads.

In the corner, Jiang Li saw Lu Yishen, who was surrounded by the crowd.

His eyes were cold and his expression was indifferent. Even though there were many people, he could always easily attract the attention of others.

Zhang Mou seemed to be talking about something, and Lu Yishen only nodded occasionally.

The crowd rushed past, and he probably didn't see her.

Just as Jiang Li was thinking about how to enter the venue, Lu Yishen, who was in the crowd, suddenly stopped.

He turned his head and saw Jiang Li. He raised his eyebrows slightly and said in a low but firm voice, "Come here quickly."

Everyone's gaze followed her, and Jiang Li instantly became the center of attention.

Standing to the side, Zhang Mou was also stunned. This unfamiliar female actress was not on his audition list.

However, as Lu Yishen was the investor of this film, Zhang Mou didn't dare to neglect it, and quickly motioned for the assistant director to collect information about Jiang Li as soon as possible.

Jiang Li was a little embarrassed, but at this moment, she couldn't care too much. She wanted to stay in the Glory Group, so she firmly followed him.

On the second floor, Lu Yishen and Zhang Mou entered the audition room, while Jiang Li was arranged to wait in the waiting room by the staff.

After getting the audition clip, Jiang Li found out that today's audition was called "Fly Away from the Moon's Surface". This movie was generally about survival at the end of the world. The role of the second female lead in the movie that she was fighting for was a professional spaceship designer with a reserved personality.

There were a total of two scenes in today's audition. One was that after her own efforts, she finally got the qualification to enter the Group A of Spaceship Design, and she needed to show strong joy in the role. But because of her character, her emotions could not be released too much, which was a great test of the actor's emotional control ability.

The other scene was when an alien creature attacked them when they were performing a mission in outer space. At the critical moment, the character chose to protect her teammates and sacrificed herself. The actor had to show a sense of righteousness and determination.

These two scenes were very intense. Even though Jiang Li was mentally prepared before coming, it was still a big challenge for her, who was not a professional.

At the same time, in the audition.

Zhang Mou looked at the information in his hand. Jiang Li was a non-line actress with no representative works. She had been involved in fast food idol dramas with exaggerated acting skills all year round. He couldn't figure out what was so good about this actress that Lu Yishen had to bring her in. For a moment, he couldn't figure out his thoughts.

Zhang Mou rubbed his chin and asked cautiously, "What do you think of today's audition, Mr. Lu?"

"Nothing." Lu Yishen gently turned the pen in his hand. "You're professionals in filming. I'm only responsible for investing."

Zhang Mou instantly breathed a sigh of relief. Although he had become a famous director for a long time, it was inevitable for him to play with capital every time he chose someone.

Now that Lu Yishen had fully respected his opinion, he couldn't help but secretly praise Lu Yishen for his overall vision. It was rare for a movie to have quality priority without using the investor's own people.

After exchanging a few pleasantries, Zhang Mou glanced at the staff and waved his hand. "Let's get started when you're ready."

The auditioning actresses entered one by one in the order of drawing lots, and Jiang Li, the temporary audition, was arranged to be the last one.

Jiang Li pushed the door open. She was originally relaxed, but when she saw the scene in the room, she was obviously nervous.

It was the first time she had experienced such a formal audition.

Her heart began to beat uncontrollably, and her feet seemed to be rooted to the ground. The scene in front of her began to rotate. Just as she was about to be drowned in a strong dizziness, the man's cold voice drifted into her ears. "What are you waiting for?"

She subconsciously looked in Lu Yishen's direction and met his obsidian-like eyes. The indifference and calmness in his eyes gradually cleared up her chaotic thoughts.

She couldn't let Lu Yishen look down on her.

She took a deep breath and forced herself to calm down.

She closed the door and selected the scenes he needed to perform under the guidance of the staff.

"You can use the props in the field to perform extraterrestrial tasks. When you're ready, we'll start. There's a time limit of ten minutes." The staff explained the audition rules.

Jiang Li adjusted her breathing and motioned for them to start.

Jiang Li hid half of her body behind the chair, using it as a cover. Occasionally, she would lean over and try to shoot. This was the same reaction as most actors, except for the different emotions when they spoke their lines.
