Chapter 26 Yan Wangshu's Absolute Domain

I don't know how long I waited, Wen Ran raised his hand to grab the hair in front of him that was messed up by the wind and tucked it behind his ears. Although it was of no use, it was messed up again the next second.

She picked up her phone and took a look, and the car was still there.

Wen Ran bit her lip, her fingers tightly gripping the phone, her face pressed against her knees, her head tilted and her eyes looking at the traffic lights in the distance with confusion.

She expected the white online-hailing car to appear on the road when the traffic light changed again.

I didn't see the white car, but I saw a black business car.

Stop by the roadside with the hazard lights on.

The license plates are consecutive numbers.

Wen Ran remembered that it was Yan Wangshu's car.

She thought it would be nice if Yan Wangshu could be so kind as to give her a ride.

Fortunately, it was her stomach that was churning, not her head.

After the double flashes end, the vehicle starts at a constant speed.

Wen Ran stared at the movement of the car, turning his neck little by little.

She really hoped that the car would stop and give her a ride.

After all, it's on the way and shouldn't be a big deal.

The car passed in front of Wen Ran, swept away by the wind.

Wen Ran buried his head in his knees in disappointment, closed his eyes, and fell into darkness.

Vision weakens, other senses become more sensitive.

There is the sound of the wind and the sound of the passing cars...

Wen Ran could clearly feel that the initial cramping in his stomach turned into a burning pain, like it was on fire.

A thin layer of sweat broke out on her forehead physiologically.

In the midst of the discomfort, Wen Ran seemed to hear approaching footsteps.

She slowly opened her eyes, raised her head, and looked to the Right.

The sky was covered with black cloth. In the dim night, there was a long, endless road, and a black commercial vehicle with its double flashes on was parked in front.

Yan Wangshu was wearing a pair of well-tailored black trousers and a white shirt. Her body lines were smooth and straight, and she had a great figure.

Wen Ran felt that he really was like the moon in the night.

But Yueliang's expression was not very good, his jaw was tense, his brows were sharp, and his eyes were slightly narrowed as he stared at her.

As he got closer, the street lights behind him gradually lengthened his shadow, and the black shadow directly covered Wen Ran's entire body.

He stopped in front of her and she looked up.

She looked at him, her eyes unblinking, only her soft hair fluttering in the wind.

Like a poor little thing that needs someone to help him.

Yan Wangshu naturally didn't reach out his hand. He put his hands in his pockets and asked, “What are you doing squatting here?”

Wen Ran hasn't reacted yet.

Yan Wangshu smiled silently, “You are in a bad mood, are you trying to adjust?”

“???” Wen Ran didn't know why he said that, but she shook her head slightly to deny it, “No.”

Yan Wangshu said nothing, but looked down at her, as if waiting for her to say something.

Wen Ran pursed her lips, covered her lower abdomen, and looked painful, “I don't feel well.”

Her voice was very soft, so soft that it had a slight nasal tone, like a coquettish whisper.

She really hoped that he would see her like this and ask if he wanted to give her a ride.

But Yan Wangshu's expression remained calm, his eyes fixed on her calmly, like the king of the forest looking down on everything in the forest, calm and waiting.

With a heavy, burning, and painful feeling in his stomach, Wen Ran glanced at his phone, made up his mind, and looked at Yan Wangshu with fluttering eyelashes, offering, “If it's on your way, can you give me a ride?”

One second...

Two seconds...

Three seconds...

Wen Ran felt that his eyes were hurt by the wind.

Yan Wangshu turned sideways, his sharp curves looked indifferent, “Get in the car.”

The lights in the car were on.

Wen Ran slightly hunched his back and held his abdomen, his whole body leaning against the car door, his head lowered.

Under the light, his face became paler and even his lips had no color.

Yan Wangshu turned his head to look at the street scene receding outside the car window.

Two seconds later, he glanced at her and asked, “Would you like some hot water?”

Wen Ran closed his eyes and shook his head.

She couldn't drink anything and just wanted to go back and lie down.

The car was quiet, and Wen Ran just hoped the car could go faster and faster.

I don’t know how much time had passed before the phone in my arms rang.

Wen Ran took a look and then remembered that he had forgotten to cancel the taxi order.

Wen Ran endured the pain and picked up the phone. “Sorry, I'm already in the car and forgot to cancel the order. Can I cancel it for you now?”

The driver was upset when he heard this and asked in a rough voice, “It's rush hour. I took such a long detour to come here. How can you cancel it just like that?”

Wen Ran tried to reason with him, “How can this be considered rush hour? And you said two minutes, I've been waiting for you for a long time, it's you...”

“How come this isn't rush hour?” he interrupted. “In weather like this, who wouldn't be rushing home? It's immoral for you to say that!”

“...” Wen Ran took a deep breath, his voice trembling with pain, “Won't there be a corresponding fee deducted if the order is cancelled?”

“How can this be enough? At least give half the money.”

This is a rogue.

Wen Ran was too lazy to argue with him, so he hung up the phone and canceled the order.

After she did all this, she leaned weakly against the car window again.

Wen Ran felt the pain rising one level after another, and the hair sticking to her cheeks was soaked with sweat.

Yan Wangshu looked at her like this and asked, “Do you feel this much pain every time?”

“???” Wen Ran reacted, blushed, didn't open his eyes, and spoke in a weak voice, “No, it's a stomachache.”

Yan Wangshu, “...”

Two seconds passed.

Yan Wangshu, “You don't go to the hospital for stomachache?”

“I took medicine.”

“Is it effective?”

“...” Wen Ran remained silent.

Another two seconds passed.

Yan Wangshu raised his hand and tapped the back of the driver's seat twice with his bony fingertips. “Go to the nearest hospital.”

The driver responded, “Okay, Mr. Yan.”

Wen Ran opened his eyes and looked over tremblingly, “I don't need to go to the hospital, I just need to go back and rest for a while.”

Yan Wangshu glanced at her. Her shoulders were trembling slightly and there were a few small teeth marks on her lips.

Wen Ran emphasized again, “Really not necessary.”

Yan Wangshu ignored her and leaned back in his chair with his eyes closed.

Wen Ran saw him like this, leaned forward slightly, and said with difficulty, “Please go to 'Lan Yufeng', not to the hospital, thank you.”

The driver still turned around at the traffic light and said “sorry”.

This is really weird!

Wen Ran lowered his voice and said, “Please stop by the roadside. I will go back by myself.”

The driver glanced at Yan Wangshu from the rearview mirror. “Mr. Yan?”

Yan Wangshu didn't open his eyes, and crossed his arms over his chest, which was a very self-centered attitude. His tone became colder, “If you want to get in my car, you can get in. If you want to get out, you can get out.”

???

Wen Ran's eyebrows trembled in pain, “I asked you to take me home, not to the hospital.”

“Since you're not feeling well, wouldn't it be kind of me to send you to the hospital?”

“...” Wen Ran was choked and his voice weakened, “Thank you for your kindness, I know my own body, I want to go home.”

Yan Wangshu opened his eyes and scanned Wen Ran with his pale eyes, “But I think you are not doing well now.”

“...” Wen Ran didn't want to talk to him anymore, and said stubbornly, “I want to get off the bus.”

“Wen Ran.” Yan Wangshu looked at Wen Ran, his eyes deep, “You watched my car pass by you, with a pitiful expression, and showed me your fragility and helplessness to get in my car. I don't care if you are really on your way or not, I don't have time to think or guess. But you have to know that I am willing to let you get in, and I never thought that whatever you say is the truth.”

Wen Ran was stunned by his words and forgot the pain for a moment.

It is as if he has created an absolute territory for himself, and once he enters this territory, he will have complete control over it.

This is so unreasonable.

Wen Ran thought, Yan Wangshu must be living a very tiring and lonely life, right?

I don’t trust anyone who gets close to me, and I’m too lazy to even spend time with anyone.

What he meant by security was complete control over his own domain.

Also, what does “I don't care if you're really on your way or not, I don't have time to think or guess” mean?

After staring at him for a while, Wen Ran looked away, “I have no other intentions, I just feel uncomfortable.”

She explained what he had just said, “I did make myself look pitiful in order to get your help, but isn't this how a person seeking help should behave?”

She softened her tone and emphasized, “I really feel uncomfortable.”

Here we go again.

Yan Wangshu retracted his gaze and closed his eyes, “I took you to the hospital because I saw you were feeling unwell.”

Okay, we are back to the beginning.

Raindrops began to hit the car window, and the vision gradually blurred. Only the yellowish street lights could be seen.

Yan Wangshu's guess was correct. Wen Ran was in a bad condition, and now, he was even worse.

It seems that I have to go to this hospital.

Under the instructions of Yan Wangshu, the vehicle drove directly to the elevator entrance of the hospital's underground parking lot.

The vehicle stopped, but Wen Ran did not react.

Yan Wangshu raised his hand and held her shoulders. The skin under his fingertips was smooth and tender. He shook her gently, “Wen Ran?”

Wen Ran half opened his eyes and glanced out the car window.

Yan Wangshu, “Arrived at the hospital.”

“Thank you.” She raised her hand, opened the car door and walked out.

Yan Wangshu watched her thin figure enter the elevator and the elevator door slowly closed.

Yan Wangshu retracted his gaze, “Let's go back to 'Tan Garden'.”

Wen Ran leaned against the elevator wall, feeling the pain on the back of his head numb.

She wanted to squat down.

The elevator door opened, revealing a bright hospital lobby.

There were not many people, and Wen Ran quickly arrived at the emergency desk according to the instructions and opened his mobile phone to scan it.

The nurse helped Wen Ran to go to the emergency room, and then handed her a thermometer, “Sit over there and take your temperature.”

“Thanks.”

Wen Ran sat on the cool stainless steel chair, closed his eyes and began to take his temperature.

After an unknown amount of time, Wen Ran heard the nurse calling her name.

She opened her eyes hastily and stood up with the thermometer in hand.

At this stop, a buzzing sound appeared in my ears, and then my eyes went dark, and the world began to spin.

Wen Ran felt numb all over, but he could hear the nurse's concerned voice in his ear.

Then, she felt a pair of hot big hands holding her waist, lifting her up easily and putting her on the chair, and taking away the mobile phone and thermometer from her hands.

Wen Ran's vision gradually became clear, and he saw the man's broad back.

The nurse looked at the thermometer and said, “He has a slight fever. Please keep an eye on him.”

Yan Wangshu nodded slightly.

After giving the instructions, the nurse hurried back to the emergency desk.

Yan Wangshu turned around and looked down at Wen Ran.

Wen Ran closed his eyes subconsciously.

Wen Ran deduced from her hearing that Yan Wangshu sat next to her.

He said in a deep voice, “I saw you open your eyes.”

Wen Ran was exposed, and he opened his eyes and saw Yan Wangshu sitting next to him, with a seat between them.

Wen Ran, “Why are you...” coming?

Yan Wangshu raised his chin, “Your stuff.”

Wen Ran lowered her eyes and saw her bag and cell phone on the seat.

When I got off the bus, I didn't take my bag.

Wen Ran, “Thank you.”

“Call your family. You can't do this alone.”

“I don't have any family in Shanghai.”

Yan Wangshu was silent for two seconds, “What about boyfriend?”

Wen Ran's eyebrows twisted together in pain, “I don't have a boyfriend.”

“...” Yan Wangshu, “Male friend?”

Wen Ran, “No.”

Silence for two seconds.

Yan Wangshu, “Blind Date?”

Wen Ran was already out of ideas. After a moment of thinking, he shook his head instinctively.
