Chapter 6 The Heavens Sent Her to Take Him

This was the first time for Mu Jingpei to drive a bus. Of course, it was very different from ordinary cars, off-road vehicles, or sports cars, but he could only drive it. After all, he was the only adult man in the bus.

Just as he was about to start the car, he vaguely heard a sound outside.

Aixi exclaimed, "Watch out!"

The falling stone rolled in from the window, and Mu Jingpei subconsciously blocked it with his arm.

Fortunately, it was just a small piece of rock.

Aixi ran over and looked at him worriedly. "Are you all right?"

Mu Jingpei moved his arms, endured the pain, and said lightly, "It's okay. Ask them all sit down."

He closed the door, started the bus, and drove back, getting farther and farther away from the collapse place. As soon as the bus was back to a place where it could be retreated, the trees and mountains in front of them seemed to be alive and moved on their own. For a moment, they couldn't tell whether the trees and mountains had fallen or they has fallen, as if the end of the world was coming.

Then, large chunks of earth, rocks, and trees collapsed, burying the place where the car had stopped.

Everyone in the car saw this moment.

They were really lucky.

Everyone was still in shock. An even stronger fear enveloped them. If the bus was moved a few minutes later, the place that had been devoured would become their burial ground.

It was too dangerous here.

Mu Jingpei sped up and reversed the car. He picked up the people who ran out of the bus in a panic and drove all the way to the nearest village.

It was an old-fashioned bus, with many torn seats covers. On the back of the seats, advertisements were posted to treat white wind and cowhide.

The car was filled with all kinds of smells, coupled with the damp water vapor, which made people even more unpleasant to smell.

"Mu Jingpei!" Aixi called him. "Your arm is bleeding!"

"I know." Mu Jingpei was wearing a black T-shirt. At this time, blood was flowing down his arm, which looked a little scary.

His face was pale, and his forehead was covered with cold sweat. His injured arm was almost numb. He had been struggling all the time.

Aixi held his bag and sat on the ground next to him, looking at him without blinking. Her face was full of worry, and she didn't know what to do to help him.

The people in the car were very uneasy, and the children couldn't stop crying. The tall figure driving the car was their only support, like a savior.

After driving through this dangerous road, the bus finally got on the bridge.

At this time, Mu Jingpei, whose whole arm was numb, could not hold on any longer and stopped the car. The car almost lost control and hit the bridge.

The people in the car were confused, and their eyes were full of fear of the unknown.

"I can't drive it. It's not far from the village, right? Let them come down and walk over."

As soon as he stood up from the driver's seat, he felt lightheaded and heard someone shouting in horror outside the window.

He walked to the window and bent down. He looked in the direction of the man's gaze, only to see something terrible moving in the distance. He couldn't see it clearly.

Aixi turned pale. "It's a mountain torrent!"

Mu Jingpei suddenly felt his heart sink. "Get out of the car and run!"

The people in the car had already stood up and were waiting to open the door.

Aixi shook her head, and her voice was full of despair. "The mountain torrent is so fast. We can't run!"

It happened suddenly. It was fast and destructive. The bridge was relatively long, and they happened to stop in the middle of it. Driving was ok, but running was impossible.

Mu Jingpei was also aware of this. He endured the pain and said, "What if? We can't wait for the mountain torrent in the car."

While they were talking, the mountain torrent in the distance could already be seen clearly. The rolling water was like a giant beast that swallowed everything as it surged towards them. The bridge was very simply constructed. It couldn't resist the erosion of the mountain torrent at all.

When Mu Jingpei was about to open the door, Aixi suddenly stood up and said, "I'll drive! You all sit back! Don't jump over the window!"

"How are you going to drive?"

Before Mu Jingpei could stop her, Aixi had already sat in the driver's seat.

After being at a loss for two or three seconds, she started the bus seriously.

Then, the bus stalled.

Mu Jingpei came over and was about to open the door. " Aixi, get out of the car and run." Even in such a crisis, his tone was still very calm.

She didn't know how to drive at all. It was impossible for her to suddenly know how to drive in a crisis.

Anyone who knew how to drive might not be able to remain calm and not make any mistakes in an emergency like the mountain torrent. Let alone a person who didn't know how to drive.

Many people in the car had the same thought as Mu Jingpei, they might have a chance to survive if they got out of the bus and ran. They pounded on the bus' door eagerly and shouted in dialect.

Some people had already opened the window and were trying to jump down.

No one wanted to sit in the bus and wait for death.

"Don't get out of the bus!" Aixi suddenly shouted.

Her tone did not match her personality at all.

She seemed to have been forced out of her energy at a critical moment. Even the tears on her eyelashes showed a kind of decisiveness.

"You can't run fast now, Mu Jingpei. Also, they can't run fast with a child in their arms. I can only give it a try!"

As she spoke, she started the bus again.

She had succeeded.

She had actually succeeded in starting the car.

Surprise flashed across the eyes of Mu Jingpei.

Chance of survival might really on Aixi.

It had only been about half a minute since they discovered the mountain torrent.

Aixi stepped on the accelerator, and the person in the bus leaned back. The people who had just stuck their upper bodies out of the window fell back.

Mu Jingpei was thrown directly to the middle of the car and fell to the ground.

Aixi stared at the front and asked nervously, "Are you all right, Mu Jingpei?"

With the help of others, Mu Jingpei stood up and walked to the front of the bus little by little.

"I'm fine."

Aixi stepped on the accelerator and the bus stumbled along the bridge at its fastest speed.

Everyone in the car was on tenterhooks. There were constant cries of adults and children, as well as all kinds of prayers.

Mu Jingpei covered his arms and came to the front of the bus. He leaned against the seat in the first row and looked at the little girl driving in disbelief. "You can drive?"

Aixi was thin and weak, and she was originally timid. At this moment, she was firmly leading a team of people to race against the ruthless nature.

She pursed her lips and her face was tense. She held the steering wheel and looked ahead seriously. Her expression was particularly serious. "Maybe. This is my first time driving a real car. Come on." If listened carefully, you could hear that her voice was trembling.

"It's your first time driving a real car. Did you drive a toy car before?" Or a bike?

Mu Jingpei suddenly felt dizzy.

He felt that his life was probably going to end in this strange place today.

This little girl might have been sent by God to take him.
