Chapter 46: One after another

Fugui patted his chest and said with a smug smile, "Of course, with a store as big as ours, once we say something, we can't take it back!"

As soon as Fugui finished speaking, applause and admiration broke out in the store.

The store is luxuriously decorated, brightly lit, and packed with customers.

At this moment, a young woman, with determination and expectation in her eyes, walked to the lottery box in the store, took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and said to herself, "I must win the first prize!"

Many people were looking around, some were whispering, some were curious, and some were expectant.

The young woman's nervousness permeated the air, as if she could feel the invisible pressure. She reached into the lottery box with a trembling hand, fumbled for a while, and finally pulled out a slip of paper.

The crowd around her suddenly fell silent, and everyone's eyes were focused on her. She slowly opened the note, and at that moment, it seemed as if the whole world had stopped. Her face showed an incredible surprise, and she shouted excitedly, "I won the first prize!"

With the young woman's cheers, the store became lively again.

Fugui walked forward quickly, with a brighter smile on his face. He took the note from the woman's hand and read loudly, "Congratulations, you got a new product for free!"

"Me , me , I want to draw a lottery too!"

"Everyone lines up here and has a chance. Come one by one."

After Shen Nianwan got up from her nap, her stomach felt a little uncomfortable.

She rubbed her eyes and looked around.

Suddenly, a stinging pain came from her abdomen, and Shen Nianwan couldn't help but frown. She held her stomach, feeling the pain getting stronger and stronger, as if something was rumbling inside.

She took a deep breath, trying to relieve the pain, but it had little effect.

Shen Nianwan bit her lower lip in pain, her face as pale as paper. Seeing this, Linglong hurriedly stepped forward to support her and asked with concern, "Mother, what's wrong with you? Are you feeling uncomfortable somewhere?"

Shen Nianwan shook her head feebly and said in a weak voice, "My stomach... my stomach hurts badly."

After hearing this, Linglong was shocked and quickly helped Shen Nianwan to sit down. She gently stroked Shen Nianwan's back, trying to relieve her pain.

"Mother, please be patient for a moment, I'll call the doctor right away!" Linglong said, then turned around and ran out the door.

Shen Nianwan sat on the edge of the bed, holding her stomach tightly with both hands. The pain made her almost unable to breathe. Cold sweat broke out on her forehead, and there was a trace of fear and helplessness in her eyes.

Linglong hurried out the door, feeling extremely anxious. As she ran, she called the doctor's name, hoping they would arrive as soon as possible.

Shen Nianwan was beside the bed, and the pain came like a tide, making it almost unbearable for her. She bit her lower lip tightly, trying not to moan in pain. Suddenly, a violent spasm spread throughout her abdomen, and she felt a warm current pouring out of her body, instantly soaking her dress.

Shen Nianwan looked down and was horrified to find that her thighs were covered in blood. She instantly lost all her strength and fell limply onto the bed. The scene in front of her became blurry, and her consciousness began to gradually blur.

"Mother, you're awake." She quickly walked into the room and gently put down the medicine bowl in her hand.

Shen Nianwan slowly opened her eyes, and what came into view was Linglong's concerned face. Her stomach no longer hurts, but her whole body is still weak.

"I...what's wrong?" Shen Nianwan's voice was weak and hoarse.

Linglong gently lifted Shen Nianwan up and brought the medicine bowl to her lips.

A trace of sadness flashed in Shen Nianwan's eyes, but she tried hard to suppress her inner emotions and opened her mouth to drink the bitter medicine.

"Is the child still there?" Shen Nianwan asked, her voice trembling, her eyes closed tightly, as if she didn't dare to face reality.

Linglong put down the medicine bowl, gently stroked Shen Nianwan's hair, and comforted, "My dear, don't be sad, everything will be fine."

Shen Nianwan slowly opened her eyes, filled with tears. She knew that her child was no longer here, but she still had to live strong. She took a deep breath and tried to calm down her emotions.

"Where's the Emperor? Why haven't you come here?" Shen Nianwan's voice revealed a bit of helplessness and desolation.

Linglong's heart sank, she knew that this news would undoubtedly make things worse for Shen Nianwan.

"My Lady, please don't worry. Maybe the Emperor is dealing with important matters and will come over later." Linglong tried her best to keep her voice calm so that Shen Nianwan could feel at ease.

A trace of disappointment flashed in Shen Nianwan's eyes, but she still nodded and tried to calm down.

"Your Majesty, have you had an appetite lately?" the imperial doctor asked.

Shen Nianwan nodded slightly. Although her face was still pale, the sadness in her eyes had gradually subsided.

"Yes, for some reason, I always feel hungry lately." She replied softly, with a hint of exhaustion in her voice.

The imperial doctor frowned, checked the pulse carefully for a moment, then observed Shen Nianwan's tongue coating and eyes, and finally relaxed his frown.

"Don't worry, Madam. This may be a natural adjustment reaction of the body. However, to be on the safe side, I will prescribe a few prescriptions to soothe the nerves and nourish the qi. You can just take them on time."

"Why did the miscarriage happen suddenly?" Shen Nianwan asked.

"Your Majesty, your symptoms are a bit similar to Concubine Shu's. They are all caused by food being in conflict with each other. You still need to pay attention to it in the future."

Shen Nianwan was lying on the bed, her face pale and haggard.

She closed her eyes, tears falling from the corners of her eyes.

After the imperial doctor left, Shen Nianwan lay quietly on the bed, thinking a lot.

Her eyes were hollow and deep, as if she could see through all nothingness.

The moment of miscarriage kept replaying in my mind. The severe pain in the abdomen and the gushing blood lingered like a nightmare.

A chill filled her heart. Who wanted to harm her?

Is it some jealous concubine in the palace, or those dissatisfied people outside?

She and Shen Nianshu suffered misfortune at the same time. Could it be that they were really caused by the same person?

Shen Nianwan tried hard to recall his recent behavior and tried to find possible enemies.

It can't be the queen, she is also pregnant, so she shouldn't be so stupid.

Shen Nianwan was lying on the bed, secretly speculating in her heart. Her eyes wandered around the room, and finally landed on the pot of blooming peonies by the window. The petals sway gently in the breeze, as if they are telling some secret.

She tried to recall everything recently , trying to find clues. Faces flashed through his mind, including those of palace maids, eunuchs, and concubines. Their smiling faces appeared one by one in front of Shen Nianwan's eyes , but quickly disappeared.

Suddenly, an idea flashed in her mind, and she seemed to remember something.

But at this moment, a knock on the door interrupted her thoughts. A delicate voice came from outside the door, "Your Majesty, the Emperor is here to see you."
