Chapter 63 What About the Process?

Spencer lowered her head, tears dropping onto her dress. “My boyfriend... he probably really likes Miss. James and kept a memento.”

She wiped her tears and took out an earring from her purse. “This belongs to Miss. James, right?”

Olivia’s face turned ashen when she saw the item in Spencer’s hand.

Seeing her reaction, the crowd quickly pieced things together.

“Could it really be true?”

“Oh my, the james Family plays this dirty? We’ve only heard rumors about their son, but never thought their daughter...”

“She was rumored to be pregnant... so who’s the father of this child?”

David turned to Brian with a dark expression. “What is going on here?”

Brian hesitated. “She didn’t return to her room that night.”

“I did!” Olivia rushed over, grabbing Brian’s hand with a desperate tone.

“We even had drinks before bed. When I woke up, you were right there beside me!”

“What about the process? Do you remember?” Brian looked at her.

“I...” Olivia faltered.

Brian continued, “Do you know Megan?”

Olivia nodded, though confused about why Megan was suddenly brought up.

“You can call her and ask.”

“Ask her what?”

Could Megan have been there too?

Olivia’s vision darkened.

She gripped Brian’s hand tightly, looking at him with pleading eyes.

But Brian only returned her gaze coldly, saying nothing.

David’s face grew even darker.

Just then, Lin Feng came out of the restroom and noticed the crowd. He quickly walked over. “What’s going on? What happened?”

“Sweetie—” Chloe, pale-faced, rushed to grab his hand.

After explaining the situation to him, Lin Feng’s expression turned grim.

“Miss Reed, I know the entertainment circle’s type, but there’s no need to drag innocent people into it just for some topics!

“Brian, Olivia was with you that night. How could something like this happen? You two are about to get married—don’t let outsiders ruin the bond between our families!”

The first part of his statement was a warning to Spencer, while the latter was directed at Brian.

He was reminding Brian that since Olivia was with him, any scandal would not only damage james Family’s reputation but also his.

With Lin Feng’s words, Chloe regained some confidence. “I know my daughter well! If you don’t believe her, Olivia, call Megan! Don’t worry, I—”

“Enough!” Lin Feng glared fiercely at Chloe. “Are you trying to make things worse?”

He had just managed to muddle through the situation; there was no way he would let anyone else get involved.

Lin Feng then looked down at Spencer with a menacing gaze. “Someone, take Miss Reed home!”

Security immediately moved forward to seize Spencer.

Brian glanced at Lin Feng.

In just a few words, Lin Feng had muddled the issue and taken control of Spencer’s fate.

As Spencer was being dragged out of the james Family estate, Brian shot a glance into the crowd.

Daniel gave a slight nod before quickly disappearing into the throng.

Shortly after, Emily came down from upstairs.

Noticing the commotion in the garden, she jogged over. “What’s happening?”

“Don’t get involved,” Mrs Quinn held her back. “It’s just a small-time actress causing trouble. Nothing serious.”

“Trouble? What kind of trouble?”

Mrs Quinn scoffed. “Huh, she’s accusing your sister-in-law of cheating, claiming she’s pregnant with her boyfriend’s child! How ridiculous—”

“Wait,” Emily blinked, “Pregnant? Olivia is really pregnant?”

Mrs Quinn gave her a sharp look. “Of course! Olivia has mentioned it countless times!”

“But... I thought she was joking,” Emily frowned, “She just had her period, didn’t she?”

Emily, usually carefree, was unaware of the attention her words attracted from those nearby.

Her few sentences left the guests stunned.

Olivia snapped back to reality. “Emily! Stop making it up!”

Emily frowned. “I’m not making it up! Weren’t you just in the guest room? I saw you when I went to the bathroom.”

Olivia felt her vision darkening again. “It wasn’t me, it’s not true!”

“If not you, then who? I saw you leave the guest room. You’re the only one here in a wedding dress; I’m not blind, you know!”

Olivia had previously framed Ashley, which had embarrassed Mrs Quinn.

As a result, Emily harbored a grudge against Olivia.

Now, with the chance to expose her, she had no intention of covering up for her.

“Mom, have you figured out what’s going on? Could she really be having an affair and trying to trap my brother into taking responsibility?”

Olivia nearly choked, unable to catch her breath.

For the first time, Olivia found herself unable to defend herself.

How could she prove her innocence? How?

Chloe pushed through the crowd, her eyes red as she hugged her shaky daughter. “Olivia, are you okay?”

“Mom, I’m telling the truth. I really am,” Olivia leaned on her mother’s shoulder. “I’m carrying Brian’s child. It’s really his...”

“Of course, I believe you,” Chloe said, noticing her daughter’s pale face and dry lips.

She quickly grabbed a cup of water from a nearby table. “Don’t cry, take some water.”

Olivia obediently tilted her head back to take a sip.

The water, which should have been tasteless, had a faint sweetness.

A fleeting aroma spread across her lips but disappeared before she could catch it.

The sudden distraction drained some of the tension from the scene.

Lin Feng sighed in relief, seeing Spencer being escorted into a car, and turned to speak with David.

“She’s bleeding!” someone suddenly shouted, “Look at Olivia’s dress!”

Instinctively, everyone’s eyes turned toward Olivia’s gown.

Bright red blood was spreading across the pristine white fabric of her wedding dress, casting a macabre glow in the night.

Chloe felt a heavy weight in her heart. “Olivia, are you in pain? What about the baby? Is the baby okay?”

Olivia’s face turned pale as she tried to look back, but her mother stopped her.

“Don’t move! Stay still!” She frantically searched the crowd. “Is there a doctor here? My daughter might be having a miscarriage!”

The once quiet crowd erupted in shock. No one expected the situation to take such a turn.

Lin Feng, recalling something, walked over with a grim expression and draped his jacket over Olivia’s waist.

He gritted his teeth, “Olivia, sweetie. It’s okay. Daddy’s gonna get you to the hospital right away!”

The sudden developments had left Olivia utterly confused. She clung to Lin Feng’s arm. “Dad, what’s happening to me?”

“Olivia, don’t worry. We’ll—”

“Wait, I’m a doctor. Let’s move Miss. James to the living room. I’ll examine her right away!”

“No!” Lin Feng pushed the doctor away defensively. “My daughter needs to go to the hospital, immediately!”
