Wen Li thought that since something happened to An Wen, Huo Yuanchen would be busy taking care of An Wen recently and would not come to see her again.
What she didn't expect was that Huo Yuanchen went to her studio at noon that day.
At that time, she had just received a big order. Cheng Yang, a rich second-generation who dreamed of becoming an idol superstar, came to her and asked her to take another set of photo albums for him, saying that he wanted to hold a fan signing event.
Wen Li didn't care much about the entertainment industry. She only knew that Cheng Yang had passed the audition for the trainee he had participated in before. Her job was limited to that, and she didn't ask about his future development. She never expected that there would be a big order for her.
She was a little curious and asked, "You have fans so quickly?"
Cheng Yang smiled at her, showing his two playful canine teeth, and said, "Sister, if you take good pictures of me, my fans will increase quickly."
He paused, stuck out his tongue, and continued, "But the company also spent a little money. Really just a little, not much."
Wen Li found out that the entertainment company he signed with bought him fans.
She smiled and said, "Then I
I’ll take a better picture of you next time.”
Cheng Yang was very happy and chattered to her about his intentions. He didn't have any specific ideas, but when he saw which set of photos other stars took looked good, he wanted to take one too.
Wen Li thought his ideas were too chaotic and suggested that he choose a set of photos with a similar style according to his temperament. When she said this, Cheng Yang held his chin with both hands, looked at her with admiration, and occasionally sighed, "Sister is really amazing."
Wen Li was rarely praised, especially by someone much younger than her. She felt a little embarrassed and couldn't help but smile when she spoke.
When Huo Yuanchen walked into her studio, he saw her sitting side by side with a very young, sunny and handsome boy. Their heads were almost touching. Wen Li's cheeks were flushed and she looked at him with affectionate eyes.
His originally lazy look faded a little, and his face gradually turned cold.
He looked at Wen Li with deep eyes, and felt that the footsteps he had just come in were quite loud, and anyone with ears were able to hear them.
But Wen Li remained indifferent and continued chatting and laughing with the handsome boy. Her eyes curved into crescent shapes from laughing, which showed how happy she was.
Huo Yuanchen called out calmly, "Wen Li."
He walked over, put his hands on Wen Li's shoulders, leaned over and gently kissed her hair, then sat on her other side and casually put a hand on her waist.
"Any guests?" he asked.
Wen Li was still immersed in her photography plan when she was suddenly interrupted. She was stunned for a moment before she reacted and said with a little surprise, "Why are you here?"
"I'm your boyfriend, why can't I come here?" Huo Yuanchen raised his eyebrows. The claim of sovereignty was obvious.
Cheng Yang heard it. He glanced at Wen Li and suddenly became silent, no longer chattering.
Not sure if it was an illusion, but Wen Li felt that the look he gave her just now was quite resentful.
She was afraid that the big client would think she was unprofessional for dating during work hours, so she pried Huo Yuanchen's hand apart and told him, "If you're not busy, go over there and wait for me. If you're busy, go first. I'll have to wait a little longer here."
Huo Yuanchen had never been treated so coldly by her before. He looked at Wen Li deeply for a long while before he said "hmm" lightly.
I didn't walk far, just stood a few steps behind her, admiring the setting in her studio while listening to her talking about the plan with others.
Wen Li told Cheng Yang , "You are the type who is cheerful and lively. It is not appropriate to pretend to be aloof. I suggest that you continue to go the approachable and cute route and consolidate the fans you have attracted before. When the loyalty of these fans is high enough, then consider trying other styles."
Cheng Yang nodded repeatedly, and said with curved eyes, "I will listen to my sister."
When he called Wen Li "Sister", Huo Yuanchen glanced at them coldly.
Wen Li finalized the details of the photo shoot with Cheng Yang, and finally made an appointment for the photo shoot. Then he politely sent Cheng Yang away.
When she came back and looked at the time, more than an hour had passed, but Huo Yuanchen hadn't left yet and was still waiting for her there.
She was surprised and asked, "Are you not busy today?"
Huo Yuanchen looked at her coldly and said, "Don't you want me to disturb you?"
Wen Li thought his words were strange and said, "You didn't interrupt me. You were silent the whole time, weren't you?"
"Oh," he said calmly, "I thought I was disturbing you just by being here."
Wen Li finally realized something was wrong. She looked at Huo Yuanchen speechlessly and said, "Don't tell me you're jealous. I don't believe you're jealous of me."
Huo Yuanchen frowned and said, "I'm not jealous. But as a woman, you should be more reserved. Don't flirt with every handsome guy you see. If you do it too often, it will make you look cheap."
Wen Li cried out in injustice, "When did I flirt with him? I was just talking to him about work, okay?"
Huo Yuanchen sneered, "If you really don't have any feelings for him, then why are you blushing?"
Wen Li was so angry that he wanted to laugh, "When did I blush?"
Huo Yuanchen said, "Not only are you blushing, the way you look at him is also quite alluring. Don't you see how old you are? You dare to think about an old cow eating young grass."
Wen Li really laughed this time, a cold laugh. She said, "Huo Yuanchen, you are the first to complain. Why don't you think about how many times you have abandoned me for An Wen? If you say I am old, aren't you older than me? You and An Wen are the old cows eating young grass."
Huo Yuanchen replied to her coldly, "I have never blushed in front of An Wen."
Wen Li didn't want to talk to him anymore.
Anyway, whatever she does is wrong, and whatever he does is right. He can flirt with whomever he wants, and she can't control it. But the other way around is not okay, she has to be bound by her identity as his girlfriend, and keep a distance from other opposite sexes, even when talking to customers, she has to be serious, preferably at a distance of ten or eight meters.
Why?
She pursed her lips, pretending to be busy packing, and refused to continue talking to him.
Huo Yuanchen waited for a while, and seeing that she just kept her head down to sort out the few pages of the client's file bag, he stretched out his hand to her and said, "Why don't you come over?"
Wen Li stopped what he was doing and said unhappily, "What are you doing over there? Are you going to ridicule me or quarrel with me?"
Huo Yuanchen frowned and walked towards her. It wasn't far away, just two or three steps. He pulled her into his arms and rubbed her head hard.
Wen Li felt that he had messed up her hair, and said unhappily, "Stop it."
Huo Yuanchen didn't say anything. He sat on the chair, took her to his lap, spread her legs, and sat in a rather ambiguous posture.
He leaned forward, resting his forehead against hers, and spoke with a hint of fatigue in his voice.
"Wen Li, let's go on a date."
