Chapter 101 Miss Me

As soon as they arrived, the light at the door of the operating room happened to go out.

Everyone gathered at the door, anxiously waiting for someone to come out and tell them the results of the operation.

Time passed by minute by minute. Jiang Sui nervously grasped Li Ai's arm and murmured softly, "Why hasn't anyone come out yet?"

Li Ai patted her hands, and Gu Wan also comforted her, "Don't worry, you will have to wait a while after it's over."

As soon as the words fell, the door of the operating room suddenly slid open slowly.

Mark and Director Li walked out together wearing green surgical gowns.

Jiang Sui stepped forward and grabbed Mark and asked, "Is he okay?"

Mark took off his mask, patted Jiang Sui on the shoulder and said, "Jiang, don't be nervous. Congratulations. His will to survive is very strong and the operation was successful!"

When Jiang Sui heard this, he immediately covered his mouth with one hand, tears welling up in his eyes, and he was so excited that he forgot to speak.

The eyes of the people behind him also had slightly reddened, they were excited and happy.

"Jiang, are you so happy that you've gone crazy?"

Jiang Sui was awakened by Mark shaking his shoulders. She smiled slightly and hugged Mark.

"Mark, thank you for saving him and me!"

Mark spread his hands, not quite understanding what Jiang Sui said.

Jiang Sui let go, smiled at him, and asked, "Will I be able to see him later?"

The operation has been completed, and the follow-up treatment will be handed over to the hospital. Mark is not sure, so he glanced at Director Li beside him.

Director Li stepped forward and explained to Jiang Sui, "It's like this, Miss Jiang, Director Si will be sent to the ICU soon. If nothing unexpected happens, it is estimated that it will take 7-10 days for him to wake up. It varies. It depends on his physical condition and willpower."

Hearing what Director Li said, Jiang Sui's heart sank again, and he hurriedly asked, "Director Li means that if something unexpected happens during this period, he may not wake up, right?"

Director Li hesitated for a moment and nodded, "We can't rule out this possibility."

Jiang Sui immediately pursed his lips and stopped talking.

"Jiang, don't worry. I believe Si also wants to see you earlier. He will definitely try his best to wake up earlier."

Mark spoke again to comfort Jiang Sui, and Jiang Sui bowed slightly to Mark in gratitude, "Thank you!"

Because the operation was over in the afternoon and the visiting hours of the ICU ward had passed, Jiang Sui was unable to see Si Nian who was in a coma that day.

Because he was too nervous and tired during the day, Jiang Sui went home, washed up, and fell asleep on the bed at night.

She had a dream at night. In the dream, she saw Si Nian. He was sobbing with red eyes. He said to her, "Sui Sui, I'm sorry. I don't want to leave you, but I tried my best. I will marry you in the next life..."

Then Si Nian's figure floated farther and farther away.

Jiang Sui stretched out her hand and tried hard to grab him, but she couldn't. She suddenly burst into tears in panic.

When he opened his eyes, Jiang Sui's hands were half raised in the air and his cheeks were soaked with tears.

When she saw clearly that she was lying on her bed at home, she breathed a sigh of relief.

It turned out to be just a dream, luckily, it wasn't real.

But her heart still tightened.

The blackout curtains in front of the window were closed, and the room was dimly lit.

Jiang Sui supported himself on the bed and slowly sat up. He felt for his cell phone on the bedside table and saw that it was not yet four in the morning.

But she was frightened awake by the dream and no longer wanted to sleep.

I don’t know how Si Nian is doing now?

She hadn't seen him for almost a day and a night, and she missed him very much.

Since she couldn't sleep anyway, Jiang Sui simply got up and packed her things. She decided to go to the hospital immediately and wait for the morning visit outside the intensive care unit.

Jiang Sui waited in the hospital for three hours before a nurse took her in to see Si Nian.

She changed into sterile clothes and could only see Si Nian through a large glass window.

He was lying quietly on the hospital bed with his eyes closed. If it weren't for the gauze wrapped around his head and a trachea inserted in his mouth, Jiang Suizhen would have thought that he was just sleeping.

She unconsciously leaned her face against the glass, murmuring softly, "Brother, can you hear me calling you? If you can, please wake up quickly, okay?"

The half-hour visiting time was very short. Jiang Sui felt that time had passed just by standing at the window and looking at Si Nian a few times.

It happened to be the weekend and she didn't have to work during the day. Jiang Sui didn't know where to go after leaving the ICU. She was also nervous to go home, so she simply found a relatively quiet area in the hospital and sat waiting for the twice-a-day visits, which she never missed.

After waiting for two days, Si Nian still showed no sign of waking up.

During this period, Mark came to see her once and said that Si Nian was in good condition and asked Jiang Sui not to worry too much. He then said goodbye to her and said he was going back to Canada.

As Mark's work schedule is very full, he cannot continue to wait here for Si Nian to wake up. All follow-up observation and treatment will be handed over to Director Li's team. If there are any questions, we can communicate via video.

Jiang Sui offered to see him off at the airport, but Mark refused. He said, "Jiang, I believe that Ezra will wake up soon, considering his strong will to survive during the operation. Don't you want to let him see you as soon as he wakes up?"

Before leaving, Mark told Jiang Sui that on the day of the operation, not only was the weather outside unpredictable and raining heavily, but there were also many dangerous situations in the operating room. However, Si Nian survived in the end.

After Mark left, Jiang Sui stood alone in the corridor, his eyes slightly red but with a faint smile on his face.

Si Nian really did as he promised her. He was working hard, very hard.

Jiang Sui looked towards the direction of the ICU and kept thinking: Brother, try harder and wake up soon!

Jiang Sui took three days off in a week. Since she didn't go to work, all the work had to fall on her colleagues, and she felt bad about it.

I don’t know when Si Nian will wake up, and waiting in the hospital is not a solution.

On Monday, Jiang Sui returned to work as usual, leaving Reo in the hospital.

After a busy morning and just stopping to have lunch, Jiang Sui received a call from Reo.

He told Jiang Sui on the phone that the doctor had just checked and said that Si Nian had reactions in his eyes and might be about to wake up.

After hearing this, Jiang Sui didn't care about anything else. He went out, took a taxi and went straight to the hospital.

But when she arrived at the hospital, it was not yet visiting hours, so she still couldn't see Si Nian and could only wait anxiously outside the ICU door with Reo.

Two hours later, Jiang Sui changed into sterile clothes again.

But this time when she walked to the glass window, a pair of eyes as black as ink, flashing with tears, were looking straight towards the window.

Si Nian woke up!

The nurse probably told him before Jiang Sui came in that she would come to see him right away.

So he kept looking out the window and waiting, and as soon as she came over, he saw her.

Jiang Sui covered his mouth with one hand in surprise, then put it down, put his hands on the glass, and looked at him with a slight smile.

As she looked, tears suddenly filled her eyes.

She was smiling at him, but tears were unconsciously sliding down from the corners of her eyes.

Jiang Sui raised his hand and wiped it off fiercely, then he widened the corners of his mouth and smiled brightly at Si Nian.

Si Nian saw this and raised one hand and waved it at her twice.

Her big smile was mixed with tears, and she waved her hands at him through the glass.

At this moment, she let go of all the helplessness, hesitation and anxiety in her heart, and her heart was filled with joy of regaining what she had lost.

He woke up, finally made it through, and has a future. It’s great!

Unable to speak or communicate, the two people just stared at each other silently through the glass window for half an hour.

Until the nurse came over to remind Jiang Sui that the time was up and he could not stay any longer.

She was about to leave reluctantly, but just as she turned around and took a step, she came back. Through the glass, her eyes were still looking in her direction.

She put her face close to the glass and mouthed to him silently, "Have a good rest. I'll come see you tomorrow."

She didn’t know whether Si Nian understood or not, but Jiang Sui saw him blinking at her, so she waved her hand again and left, looking back every few steps.

The next day, Jiang Sui went to the hospital to see Si Nian during visiting hours as usual.

However, the ICU nurse informed me that the patient was in all other conditions normal, the intubation tube had been removed and he had been transferred back to the general ward.

Jiang Sui was overjoyed and immediately ran to the general ward.

A few days passed, and she was finally able to hug him face to face again and talk to him again.

Because Jiang Sui ran all the way there, she was still gasping for breath when she entered the ward.

Si Nian was half-leaning on the bed with his eyes closed. When he heard the noise, he opened his eyes and saw Jiang Sui standing inside the door, breathing heavily. He curved his lips slightly towards her and waved again.

"come over..."

Jiang Sui happily took a few steps towards him, bent over and gave Si Nian a quick kiss on the lips, then sat on the bed and hugged him, resting her head on his chest, listening to his still strong heartbeat, she smiled slightly and closed her eyes for a while.

She felt relieved. She could see and touch it. Her heart could finally settle down.

Si Nian was stunned for a moment by Jiang Sui's sudden kiss and hug, then he smiled, patted Jiang Sui and asked, "It's only been a few days, why do you miss me so much?"

His voice was still as deep and pleasant as before, and it carried a hint of temptation in Jiang Sui's ears.

She closed her eyes and whispered to him, "Yes, I miss you very much. I miss you every day and want to hold you like this."

"Me too. I miss you so much." Si Nian also hugged her with his arms, and his voice came from above her head, "During those two days when I was not awake, I had a very long dream. I dreamed of you."

Jiang Sui suddenly stood up from the bed, looked at Si Nian with some confusion and asked, "Oh, what did you dream about me?"

"I dreamed that we went on a picnic together, and then we accidentally got separated. You couldn't find me in the middle of the night, and you were crying alone."

"And then you woke up in a hurry?"

"Well, actually I'm afraid of leaving you alone."

Si Nian's words are not love words, but they are better than love words.

Jiang Sui felt soft in his heart after hearing this.

She leaned back into Si Nian's arms, her lips slightly curved, her voice soft and gentle, "You don't have a chance to abandon me now, remember to hold on tighter next time. If you push me away again, don't blame me for being rude."

She was using the softest tone and saying the harshest words.

Si Nian laughed softly, he reached out and rubbed her hair, then held one of her hands and said, "Never again, from now on you will be the only one who will abandon me, how could I abandon you again? No matter what happens in the future, I will hold your hand tightly and never let go."

Jiang Sui stood up and tidied her hair which was messed up by him. She glanced at Si Nian and said proudly, "Whether you can catch it or not depends on whether I let you catch it. Anyway, I remember all the grudges you pushed me away in the past!"

Hearing this, Si Nian was a little amused. He raised his eyebrows slightly, "So I should keep him to check his status. Aren't we going to get married soon? I think he should have passed the assessment."
