Just as everything seemed to be going well, Aria’s former boss suddenly decided to sell the company.
She never bothered to find out who it was sold to, as she was completely focused on her designs.
Little did she know that the new boss would turn out to be someone she never wanted to see again.
...
After work, Aria came home with groceries.
As soon as she opened the door, her little baby ran up and hugged her leg.
“Mama, I missed you so much!”
Aria gently caressed Isabella’s head, smiling happily.
“Did you misbehave at school today?”
“No!” Isabella immediately stood up straight and assured, “Absolutely not.”
She was being good.
The little one had round eyes that looked like marbles, a small and straight nose, and a cherry-like mouth.
She had two small pigtails tied up, making her incredibly adorable.
However, her cuteness also hid a mischievous side.
“Mama, Isabella poked a wasp nest at kindergarten.” Ben said while walking over.
A little boy who looked exactly like Isabella came over, and then took the groceries from Aria.
Isabella and Ben might look the same, but their personalities were completely different.
Isabella was lively, often cunning and causing trouble, while Xibao was calm and mature, almost like an adult, resembling that man very much.
Compared the two, Aria worried about Ben more because he lacked childlike fun that kids should have.
“Oh my god, are you alright? Why didn’t the teacher call me?” Aria worriedly asked to check on the children’s well-being.
Isabella shook her head like a tambourine, crisply saying, “We’re fine. Ben and I run faster than other buddies. Even bees can’t catch up with us.”
Her eyes, as blinking as stars, gleamed with pride, like saying, “Mommy, I am so awesome, right?.”
Ben added, “Ten students and four teachers were stung. The principal urgently sent everyone to the hospital, so there was no phone call.”
Aria, “...”
“I wanna pass out.” She thought, “This child is absolutely a troublemaker...Alright, I will make a sincere apology tomorrow.”
With a helpless expression on her face, Aria poked Isabella’s little head, “Oh my, you little naughy girl.”
“Mummy, I didn’t mean to. The wasp nest fell down by itself, and I poked it a few times just out of curiosity... Who knew the bees would buzz out.”
Isabella hugged her with a silly smile, using a cute and affectionate approach so that Aria couldn’t bear to blame her.
Aria prepared dinner for the children, cleaned the dishes, and when she saw that the children were obediently watching cartoons, she felt reassured and went to her studio to work.
But once she left, Isabella took out her iPad and handed it to Ben.
“Hey Ben, play a game with me.”
Ben took the iPad but didn’t open the game interface. His small hand kept tapping on it.
After Isabella logged into the game, she looked at her ranking and was satisfied.
She thought, “As long as I win the next match, I can participate in the international competition and win a trophy!”
She heard there’s also a lot of prize money.
She kept wondering, “With the prize money, mommy cannot go to work, so that she can spend much more time with me and Ben. But I can’t let her know I am playing games, or mommy would get angry.”
Isabella cautiously glanced at the studio, hugged the mini iPad, and started forming a team, only to find that Ben wasn’t online.
“Ben, go online quickly.”
Ben focused on the iPad, excitement appearing on his delicate and cute face.
“Great! My idol is coming to America soon!” He thought.
“Ben!” Isabella got angry when Ben ignored her.
“Huh?” Ben snapped out of it, looking confusedly at his sister.
Isabella waved her small fist fiercely, “Play the game with me!”
However, Ben wasn’t falling for her act.
His sister was two-faced, always acting cute and well-behaved in front of their mommy, but aggressive and stubborn in front of him.
“I can play the game with you, but you have to promise me something.”
“What?” Isabella asked, still a little angry.
As the screen showed a handsome uncle, Isabella’s eyes lit up with curiosity.
She asked, “Ben, who is this uncle?”
“He’s my idol,” Ben said proudly, his cute little face filled with joy, and his dark brown eyes brimming with admiration.
“Really? He looks a lot like you, but even better,” Isabella, the little fangirl, tilted her head and thought for a moment. “Should we ask him to be our daddy?”
Ben originally wanted to lecture Isabella about not wanting anyone to be their daddy just because the nice face, but in the next moment, he had the same thought as Isabella.
If so, he could learn many skills from him and earn lots of money for mommy.
However, he knew that this was impossible, so he quickly put an end to this idea.
Regarding the fact that he looked like his idol, he raised his chin proudly.
Ben leaned over to Isabella’s ear and told her what he needed help with.
Isabella agreed without hesitation, and the two children started playing games.
Aria finished up the final touches on the Starry Sea collection, and then made a set of clothes for the two little darlings.
From the time the two children were born, all their clothes were made by her. And now, she wanted to make more.
During a quick break, Aria held the two and put them to sleep.
That night, she inexplicably dreamed of that man who should have long been forgotten. She woke up in the morning with lingering fear and anger.
After breakfast, Aria sent them to the kindergarten, and apologized for her daughter’s behaviour yesterday.
Isabella, with her sincere attitude and cute face, got forgiveness soon.
As a result, everything was soloved smoothly. .
After leaving the kindergarten, Aria called her good friend Mary Miller.
“Mary, please help me take care of the kids tonight? I have a company dinner that I can’t miss.”
Mary readily agreed, “No problem.”
...
The new boss didn’t arrive until 5 o’clock in the afternoon, so the General Manager Jack Harris called everyone to the restaurant directly.
Aria didn’t know why, but she had a prediction of bad luck, and her heart felt like a drum, with a sense of ominous foreboding.
She didn’t really feel like going to the dinner.
But they had already arrived at the restaurant, and as the manager of the design department, if she ran away at the last moment, it would give the new boss a bad impression.
“I wanna go to the restroom first,” Aria greeted her colleagues, and walked towards the restroom.
The men’s and women’s restrooms were on opposite sides. As Aria walked into the restroom on the right side, a tall and handsome man shown up from the opposite.
He was wearing a high-end tailored suit, which highlighted his noble and aloof temperament.
James Anderson walked fast, and unexpectedly kicked a little boy running towards him.
Reacting quickly, James stepped aside and caught the child, but his brow furrowed as he looked at the boy’s appearance.
“The boy’s so familiar.” He thought.
“Are you okay?” James spoke, his voice as cold and aloof as always.
He had always been like this, cold and indifferent, seemingly unconcerned about anything, yet remarkably capable.
Under his leadership, the Anderson Group had become one of the top companies in the world in just five years, and his wealth had skyrocketed, making him the richest man in the country.
Although he was only in his thirties, he owned good looking and sharp business talents.
Anyone who saw him couldn’t help but marvel at the perfection bestowed upon him by the heavens.
Ben, unable to contain his excitement, tightly clenched his little hand by his side.
