Chapter 3 Ethan, Let’s Get Divorced

Evelyn Moore and Ethan Montgomery had been in love for eight years, from school uniforms all the way to wedding gowns. Their love had always been deep and unwavering. She had always believed that there would never be a “the other woman” in their relationship, but reality had given her a harsh slap in the face.

Seeing the redness in her eyes, Ethan felt a pang in his chest. He grabbed her hand and pulled her into his arms.

“Eve, I’m sorry…”

Evelyn pushed him away and tried to laugh, but tears kept rolling down her face.

“Don’t even think about touching me with your filthy hands!”

Seeing the disappointment and anger in her eyes, Ethan clenched his fists.

"Eve, you’re the only one I love… it was just a mistake..."

His explanation sounded so weak that it made Evelyn feel both ridiculous and disgusted.

“So, like you’ve said, I could sleep with another man, then tell you it was a mistake? Even though my body cheated, you’re still the only one I love in my heart, right?”

A cold, ruthless look flashed in Ethan’s eyes as he spoke each word slowly, “If you dare, I’ll kill you and that man in bed together.”

Facing his eyes filled with rage, Evelyn only felt a chill in her heart.

He knew that betrayal was unforgivable, yet he still betrayed her.

She took a deep breath and spoke slowly, “Do you remember what I told you when you proposed to me?”

She had said that if he ever betrayed her, she wouldn’t forgive him; this would be the end.

Ethan’s face changed slightly. “I won’t let you leave!”

Evelyn wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes and looked at him, her expression mocking, her eyes filled with hatred. “I don’t care if you agree or not, I’ve already made up my mind. I’m divorcing you. You don’t deserve my forgiveness.”

With that, Evelyn brushed past him and walked upstairs.

Ethan stared at her back, his eyes dark and ominous.

Back in the bedroom, Evelyn went straight to the bathroom to shower, unable to stand the smell of alcohol on herself.

When she came out of the bathroom, she saw Ethan sitting on the bed. Evelyn frowned and decided to ignore him.

After all, it wouldn’t be long before they were divorced.

Ethan looked up and saw Evelyn stepping out in a towel.

Her damp hair hung down her back, still dripping water. Her freshly washed cheeks were flushed, like a rose in full bloom, tempting and inviting. The towel barely covered her hips, leaving her long legs exposed, fueling his imagination.

Ethan’s breathing became heavy, his gaze glued to Evelyn, unable to look away.

Evelyn didn’t notice the change in him. She walked to the closet and was about to grab her pajamas when suddenly, a pair of hands wrapped around her from behind.

“Eve…” His voice was hoarse, filled with unmasked desire.

After Evelyn left downstairs, Ethan had been thinking about how to win her back.

In the end, the only way he could think of to keep her by his side was to have a child with her.

“Don’t touch me. You disgusting freak.” Evelyn turned around and shoved him away, her eyes full of hatred.

Hurt flashed in Ethan’s eyes as he grabbed her hand and said seriously, "Didn’t you always want a child? Let’s have one now, okay?"

“Yes, I did but after all this... I might have a child in the future, but it definitely won’t be yours.” Evelyn yanked her hand away.

Her words enraged Ethan. He grabbed her hand and threw her onto the bed, pinning her down.

“Dare you say that again!”

His eyes were blazing with anger, but Evelyn was unfazed.

“No matter how many times I say it, it’s the same. I’m disgusted by you. I’d rather die than give birth to your child!”

As soon as she finished speaking, Ethan kissed her fiercely.
