Chapter 17 Take Vanny Home

Watching Anna bring Evan down from upstairs, Zoey looked at her son and felt that he was white and soft, like a milk pudding.

She wondered why she had rejected him like that and even felt his birth was shameful for her in the previous life.

Evan also saw her and his big eyes lit up. He ran over with his short legs and stretched out his hands to ask for a hug.

"Mommy..."

Zoey hugged her son and kissed him on the cheek. Her heart softened when she looked at her son's pink little face,

"Did Vanny miss Mommy?"

"Of course I do! I couldn't help but miss you!"

"Then are you willing to go home with Mommy and Daddy?" Zoey asked. Her sockets suddenly turned red, and she tried to hold back her tears.

"Of course!"

……

"Let them take Vanny away just like that?"

Edmund glared at the back of the family of three as they left. He turned around and saw Anna staring at their backs in a daze, “Have you noticed that they are becoming more and more like a family?"

Hearing this, Edmund was stunned.

"I also felt that she seemed different just now. I hope that she is serious this time. You might not notice that the love in our son's eyes couldn't be hidden when he looked at her."

"You're quite observant, aren't you?"

"Of course. He is my son. If I don't know him, who does? I hope Zoey really wants to repent this time and won't let our son down again."

Inside the car.

"Mommy, can I really go back with you and Daddy? Don't you hate Vanny anymore?" Evan's innocent eyes were filled with apprehension.

"Who said that we hated you?" Zoey was stunned.

"The children in the kindergarten all live together with their parents. They said you hated seeing me, so you didn't want to take me back..."

Looking at her son's pitiful face, Zoey felt pain in her heart, “Of course not. Mommy and Daddy have never hated you. We sent you to Grandpa and Grandma's household because we were too busy with work."

"Mommy, how did your mouth get injured?"

"A dog bit me." Zoey took a resentful glance at the man beside her.

"Then what's my position in Mommy's heart?"

Zoey pinched her son's little face softly. She immediately raised her index finger, “You are number one, the most important!"

"What about Daddy?" Evan grinned and glanced at Wyatt.

"He ranked second."

Wyatt frowned suspiciously.

Why did he feel that...the way his son looked at him just now revealed a faint sense of pride?

When they returned to the villa, Zoey sent her son to her bedroom. Before reacting, she was taken up and carried to the bathroom.

"Wyatt, are you crazy? Put me down!"

"Who is number one in your heart?"

"Ah? Are you mad? Why are you jealous of your son?" Zoey was stunned for a few seconds and glared at him speechlessly.

Unmoved by her words, Wyatt stared at her with his deep eyes. It seemed he wouldn't give up until he got a satisfying answer. He repeated the question in his low voice, "Who is number one?"

"You! It's you, alright?"

"In that case, tonight we..."

"No! Don't even think about it! I'll sleep with my son tonight!" Zoey's face turned red.

The corners of Wyatt's lips curled up slightly, and the laughter from his chest made her eardrums numb, “What are you thinking? I mean that our family of three will sleep together...Otherwise, what do you think?"
