Chapter 183 It Was Wrong

What she said was ironic. In her opinion, what was the point of a woman not taking care of her son? If a relatively reasonable person heard such words, she would feel inappropriate and then say something politely to reply.

However, she didn't expect Zoey would smile after hearing her words. It seemed she didn't understand her sarcasm and said, "Okay. Mom, thank you for your hard work. After Vanny is fine, we will take him home."

Anna was immediately furious, but she was the one who had said the words. How could she take them back? She said stiffly, "Then you can go. Be careful on the way."

"Alright."

Zoey listened to her with a smile, played with Vanny for a while, and then really left with Wyatt.

Anna looked at their backs, her face livid with anger. "Look, this is the first time I have seen a mother with such a relaxing attitude!"

The servant, who had been with her for decades, said in a low voice, "Madam is still young. She can take her time."

"Her son has already grown up, and she's still young? When I was her age, I gave birth to two children!" Anna snorted. "Look at her. She doesn't care about Vanny and doesn't come to see Vanny at night!"

"Zoey just likes to play..."

"Enough, don't always defend her. How could I not know about her? In the past, I thought that she had changed her temper, but now it seems that not only has she not changed, but she has also become even worse! Humph, I don't know what's wrong with Wyatt's taste. She's so bad. There are so many good women, but he insists on this!"

The old servant lowered his head and did not speak. After Anna finished speaking, she snorted, "If that's the case, then I really... forget it!" After saying that, she shook her head and sighed, looking extremely disappointed with Zoey.

When Zoey returned home, she immediately felt much better. No matter how good the room in the hospital was, there was still the smell of disinfectant that could not be concealed. It always gave her an indescribable feeling of discomfort.

"It's still comfortable at home," she stretched and said with a smile. She did not know that her mother-in-law disliked her worse because of her leave from the hospital.

After she had settled down, she went to take a good shower. She immediately felt a hundred times more energetic. Wyatt, on the other hand, got busy and returned to the study room to deal with work.

She thought about it and felt that she seemed to have neglected some people these days.

She looked at the closed study door and decided to question the person in charge directly.

After she called Harvey, she said firstly, "You know why I came to you, right?"

Harvey thought to himself, "I don't know. Madam, what is the matter?" However, he felt strange in his heart. Didn't the boss go home? Didn't he stay with her? Otherwise, how could she find him?

Her following sentence made him understand. "I want to ask you, how are the people who kidnapped my son? Are they in jail?"

Zoey had been concerned about this problem, but every time she mentioned it, Wyatt would change the topic. He would only say a few simple words and say that he had caught them and locked them up. He would not say anything else.

Although she knew he was doing this for her good, Zoey still felt strange in her heart and asked Harvey.

"They have been arrested. The boss has locked them up. One of them is already in jail. She won't come out in ten years," Harvey said slowly.

"Very good. Although I did not see this scene with my eyes, I am still happy. Is it that Mr. Golds?" she asked.

"Right."

"What about Ashley?"

"She..."
