Chapter 184 She Wanted to See You

Harvey spoke very slowly as if he thought while saying, "About her. It seems that the boss has other plans for her."

"Other plans?"

She was puzzled. She continued to ask, but Harvey refused to say anything. He stammered, "Why don't you ask the boss yourself? I don't know." After saying that, he hung up the phone.

She stared at the phone with her eyes wide open. This Harvey had a tight mouth!

However, this was not the main point. The key was why did Wyatt keep Ashley? Did he have ill intentions toward her?

Although rationality told her that it was impossible, Wyatt was not such a person, but based on a certain feeling, she still felt sour in her heart.

"What are you wondering?"

Wyatt finally finished what he had to do. He returned to his room and wanted to be intimate with her. Who knew that when he opened the door, he would see her depressed expression? So he asked.

Unexpectedly, the moment he asked, he saw her glare at him.

"What's wrong?" He was puzzled and began to think about how he had provoked her again.

"Let me ask you something. You have to tell me honestly," she spoke.

"Yes, ask."

"Then I'll ask. First of all, I'm not letting my imagination run wild. I'm just asking casually. There's no other meaning!" she emphasized, trying to convince him that she was not jealous but just curious.

Wyatt nodded solemnly. "Alright, I understand."

She felt uncertain, glanced at him, and opened her mouth to ask about Ashley. Something happened suddenly.

The phone rang.

It was Wyatt's.

Wyatt looked down and frowned. "Wait a minute. I need to answer a call."

She was a little curious because his habit was to not listen to business calls at night unless there was something particularly urgent.

But looking at his expression now, he did not seem to be in a hurry either.

When he picked up the phone and pressed the answer button, the words "Ashley" sounded faint.

She immediately listened to it carefully.

But he only said a few words like "huh," "good," and "I understand."

She couldn't help but become more curious and had a bad feeling in her heart.

After he answered the phone, he turned around and looked at her. He looked hesitant and said after a pause, "I want to go out, you..."

"Where are you going? I'll go with you!"

She immediately answered.

He rubbed his forehead. "Be good. Stay at home for a while. I will be back soon."

"But I want to go!" It would have been fine if she hadn't heard Ashley's name. But once she heard it, she was even more unwilling to give up. "If you don't bring me with you, just wait. Don't come back tonight!"

"Zoey..."

Wyatt revealed a helpless expression. "You haven't recovered yet..."

"I'm fine, indeed! The doctor allowed me to leave the hospital!" She stood up and walked up to him. She looked at him and said, "Moreover, it's about Ashley. I should go and take a look. What happened to her?"

"Did you hear that?"

He revealed a subtle expression and said, "I just received a call from my subordinates. They said," he paused for a moment and added, "Ashley committed suicide."

"Ah?" she was shocked and said reflexively. "Impossible! She is not someone who will commit suicide!"

Wyatt shook his head and said, "They can't be mistaken. She has already been sent to the hospital. Moreover, she said that she wants to see you."

"Meet me?" She thought about Ashley's behaviors. She sneered, "She wants to see me, but I don't want to see her."
