Chapter 197 I Wanted Mother Not You

After she said these words, they cast an ambiguous look at Manny.

Zoey thought she was intelligent and knew she should not offend both sides.

She did not know what Anna was thinking. But looking at her expression, it seemed that she was not satisfied with her answer.

Just as she was thinking, Vanny ran down. "Mom! Grandma!"

"My dear grandson!" Seeing Vanny, Anna quickly smiled and hugged Vanny. "Come, Grandma told you before that I would find a playmate for you. Now that I have found her. Come and have a look. You can talk. Tell me, do you like her?"

As she spoke, she released her hands and gestured for Vanny to see Manny.

Manny squatted before him and said with a smile, "Your name is Vanny, right? I am your friend. Let's play together then."

In all fairness, Manny looked pretty good and had a friendly appearance. Logically speaking, Vanny should not be against her. Unexpectedly, just as she finished speaking, she saw Vanny turn his face away and say, "I don't want you!"

Manny was not discouraged and continued to ask, "Why? Don't you like me?"

Her voice was soft and pleasant to hear. Zoey could not help but glance at her again.

Anna chimed in, "Yes, why?"

"I want my mother. I don't want you!"

Vanny looked at Zoey and said, "Mom, I want you. I don't want her!"

Anna's expression turned ugly. "Vanny, how can you say that? Why are you so rude? Mom is Mom, and the teacher is a teacher. How can you mistake them?"

"But you said I don't want Mom!" Vanny's tears rolled back and forth in his eyes as he stubbornly said, "I want my mother. I don't want her!"

"You!" Anna was furious. "When did I say I wouldn't let you have your mother?"

"It was you who said it!" Vanny shouted, not to be outdone.

"You, you want to anger me to death!" Anna's face turned green.

"Alright, Vanny!" Zoey watched it and couldn't take it anymore. If she didn't say anything, someone was about to be embarrassed. She hugged Vanny and said, "Don't make a fuss. I think you might have heard wrong. Right? Isn't Mom here?"

Vanny looked at her doubtfully. "But I heard..."

"Vanny, you should know that sometimes you would hear the wrong thing. Do you understand? You must have heard it wrong!" Zoey said in a firm tone.

Vanny scratched his head. "Really? But I..."

"Don't say 'but.' If you don't believe me, you can ask Grandma. See if she said that?" Zoey said with emphasis.

Therefore, Vanny looked at Anna.

Anna cleared her throat and said, "You heard wrong. Grandma never said that."

"Look, what I said was correct, right?" Zoey smiled, touched his head, and quickly said, "Do you know your mistake?"

"Yes." Vanny's eyes flashed, and he lowered his head.

"Then you are wrong. Shouldn't you apologize to Grandma and the teacher?" she asked again.

"Yes, I apologize. I'm sorry."

Vanny was a good child. After knowing that he had made a mistake, he apologized and bowed to Manny, saying, "Sorry, Auntie. I was wrong."

"It's fine. Those who are willing to admit their mistakes are all good children."

Anna's expression also relaxed.

"Alright, let Grandma ask you again. Do you want this auntie Logan to be your teacher?"

"Alright," Vanny answered obediently.

That cute little appearance made Anna smile again, her eyes sparkling with delight, "Very good. In the future, you should get along well with her and be obedient. Do you understand?"
