Chapter 199 The Situation Was Not Good

"Ah, Mom, this..."

They looked at each other, and a thought came to their minds.

"Shit!"

They had concealed the matter very well, especially Wyatt. He had kept it a secret about her being poisoned. Not only his parents but the Fanning family's guests had been concealed. There were no more than five people who knew the truth.

Therefore, when Anna heard this, she felt something was wrong. She saw their expressions and raised her voice, "Are you hiding something from me?"

"Mom, it's nothing. She got food poisoning last time. She was fine when she came to the doctor," Wyatt said and tried to comfort his mother.

"Really?" Anna was intelligent and felt that they still had things to hide. "What kind of food poisoning was that?"

"This... the last time I went out, I heard that pufferfish was delicious, so I ate a little. I didn't expect..." Zoey did not expect Wyatt would come up with the idea of food poisoning. In desperation, she only thought of something like the pufferfish.

"Pufferfish? You're quite bold, but this kind of thing is rare now. If something happens, won't it be reported on the news? Why haven't I heard of it?"

"Mom, this is not a good thing. Why do I say it? I didn't tell anyone to say it. Let's eat. It's a small matter. Her body has recovered," Wyatt said softly and successfully changed the topic.

Anna glanced at her again and nodded. "I was wondering why her complexion wasn't as good as before. So that's how it is."

Zoey forced a smile. "Yes, I won't dare to eat those things next time."

As she spoke, she stood up and said, "Mom, you eat slowly. I'll go back to my room first. I still have something to do."

As she spoke, she pulled out a chair and prepared to return to her room.

She had only taken a single step when she felt her vision darken.

She took a deep breath and silently said that people around her watched her. She must not reveal any clues.

After reading it a few times, she felt better. Then she slowly walked back to her room.

She closed the door and thought about it. She felt she had walked too slowly, but they should not have noticed anything strange.

Right?

Moreover, the mother and son must have something to say. If so, she should have plenty of time.

Good, hurry up and take a rest.

However, not long after she lay on the bed, she heard someone knocking on the door.

Before she could speak, Wyatt had already pushed open the door and entered. "Zoey."

She immediately got up and reflexively grabbed her phone, pretending to be playing.

When Wyatt saw her appearance, he paused, walked to her side, and extended his hand.

She dodged and pouted. "What's wrong?"

He looked at her deeply and said, "I think you are a little strange."

"What's strange? I'm very well. What's strange?"

He sat next to her and forcefully pulled her into his embrace. She struggled a few times, but it was futile. She helplessly said, "Hey, you. Don't treat me as more than just a fragile doll, okay? I'm fine now."

He was silent for a moment. "I've already called Jason over. Let him check your body properly."

She smiled. "He is a famous doctor, yet you treat him as a family doctor?"

"He's my family doctor. It's just convenient for him to see patients at the clinic," Wyatt said naturally. "Counting the time, he's already here."

"You don't need to go through so much trouble. I'm just a little weak."

"The doctor will know what the problem is when he sees you. I saw that you had no strength to go upstairs just now. Why are you still pretending?"
