Chapter 22 Don't Think About Leaving

When Zoey heard this, her soft eyebrows immediately furrowed. Only then did she notice the situation.

A gentleman pulling a little fatty walked towards them. The little fatty was also wounded, and there were several red lines on his face. Based on the situation just now, it should have been Evan who did it.

"Alas, my little son! Who did this to you?"

The sharp female voice sounded again. The woman dressed in gaudy clothes stepped on high heels and rushed in front of the little fatty.

What a coincidence!

Zoey was not in a hurry to argue. She first checked Evan inside and out. Although he was covered in dirt, he was almost uninjured.

She was relieved, and the gentleman had already walked up to her.

"Hello, are you Evan's mother?"

Zoey hurriedly nodded. The snobby woman was still screaming over there. She just happened to understand the situation first.

The man looked at Zoey with a touch of surprise in his eyes, but he was still very restrained and polite.

"I am Evan's form teacher. You can just call me Logan. In the afternoon, Evan..."

The teacher told her what had happened in a few words. As Zoey listened, the arm on Evan's shoulder could not help but tighten.

The little fatty was called Sean Shapard, considered as the class bully. In the afternoon, he quarreled with Evan somehow. As they argued, they became a mess.

If Mr. Logan had not arrived in time, the injuries of the two children would not have been like this.

"Vanny, tell mommy, why did you fight?"

Zoey squatted in front of Evan and touched his head.

"Because... because Sean said that I don't have a mother..."

Evan's aggrieved expression made Zoey heartache.

Her mistake had caused so much hurt to the little Evan!

Seeing that Zoey's expression had dimmed, Evan thought that he had made his mother angry again, and immediately became panicky.

"Mommy, it's all my fault. I shouldn't have fought..."

Zoey did not have the time to comfort her son, but the main culprit rushed to denounce her,

"Evan, why did you beat my son?"

The woman pulled Sean to the front, looking like she would not give up until she got an explanation.

A trace of disgust flashed across Mr. Logan's face, but he quickly hid it away, “Mrs. Shepard, it was Sean who made the first move."

Mrs. Shepard raised her hand as if she wanted to roll up her sleeves.

"I don't care! Now my son's face has become like this! What if there are scars left on his face? What if he is disfigured?"

Mr. Logan took a deep breath, suppressing his anger, and did not speak.

He had never liked this Mrs. Shepard. It was not hard to imagine what kind of family the child came from. It was not hard to imagine for Sean to have such a domineering mother.

However, as a teacher, he still had to remain neutral, and it was not good for him to speak for Evan, so he could only look on aside.

"Mrs. Shepard, it's just a small fight between kids. Let's forget about this matter."

Not in the mood to argue with her, Zoey only wanted to turn the big matter into a small one and not waste time with irrelevant people.

"Forget it?"

Mrs. Shepard's voice was suddenly high and screechy,

"Evan is a dumb ass. My Sean is very precious! Why should we forget about it?"

Zoey's eyes turned cold, “For God’s sake, hide your vixen face."

As soon as she finished speaking, Zoey picked up Evan and turned to leave.

Mrs. Shepard immediately pulled Sean to block Zoey's way, “You want to run? If you don't apologize to my son and compensate me today, don't even think about leaving!"
