Chapter 255 Who is it?

Countless questions filled her mind, making her nervous and sweating all over.

And yet there was nothing to be done about it.

All she could do was try her best to guess where she was now by listening to the sounds coming from outside, and the lurching beneath her.

Presumably the car is on a road that is not very smooth, the destination is unknown, and what the other party wants ... to do is also unknown.

What to do?

She cowered in the corner nervously biting her fingers, her heart burning to the core.

I don't know how long it took, but the car shook and finally stopped.

She waited silently in the darkness, and slowly a footstep came from far away.

"With a crash, the door to the trunk of the car was pulled open, and a snowy light shone in.

"Come out!"

The words were spoken in not-so-pure English with a thick accent, but it was at least clear.

She jerked her head up and blew her eyes out, unable to hold back the tears that fell, that were spurred on by the light.

"Come out!"

The words were said again, with a hint of impatience in their tone.

She slowly stood up and said in English, "Who are you? What are you trying to do by bringing me here?"

The other didn't answer, or perhaps he didn't understand her at all, only staring at her fixedly.

There was cruelty, excitement, and a few moments of probing and interest in her in those eyes.

She pursed her lips, didn't say another word, and jumped out of the car silently.

Once outside and the light spread out completely in front of her eyes, she realized that the other person was dark-skinned, so it was no wonder she didn't even speak English.

Only, why would such a person arrest her when he had no previous dealings with her at all?

She had one question after another in her mind, but she also knew that she couldn't ask these people, so she could only keep her head down and follow those people.

He was soon ushered into an outdated building, which was also poorly lit, and made a few turns after entering, before walking up to an iron gate.

The sound of a woman crying came faintly from inside.

"Get in!"

The man behind him stiffened and said a single word.

Unable to hold back any longer, she turned and asked, "Who are you ... why ..."

This time the man had pushed her with an impatient shove before her words were even out of her mouth.

She stumbled a few times and flung herself through the door, the iron door slamming shut behind her with a clang.

She inhaled deeply and slowly looked up.

When she saw that in front of her, she couldn't stop her heart from sinking, and despair swept through her entire body.

Just in this not-so-large room was surprisingly crowded with more than a dozen girls, all of them pale, some of them could still look at her curiously, while others were looking at the wall with a numb expression, as if they didn't care about anything anymore.

They are ...

The moment she got a good look at them, it dawned on her who the people who had grabbed her were!

Icy coldness flowed through her body as she lunged for the door and knocked hard, "Open the door, let me out! Let me out!"

She was shaking as she screamed, even her teeth were chattering.

Endless fear overwhelmed her.

Those people, those people are human traffickers! She was actually taken by human traffickers!

Why is that!

"Don't knock! It's no use, they won't care!"

Suddenly a female voice said.

She looked back to see that the woman who had spoken was a girl in her mid-twenties, young looking but with a desperation and numbness that didn't belong at her age.

"Who are you? How long have you been here?"
