Chapter 268 A Grand Greeting

It was then that Mary suddenly appeared, posing as a maid, and led her out with such skill and incredible smoothness throughout that she was suspicious at the time, but the anticipation of going home overpowered her suspicions, and she finally got herself into the river.

This matter of being assassinated, although it was said that Mary had laid hands on her, it was also the result of her own stupidity.

How in the world is it possible for people she doesn't know to risk their lives to save her?

The thing itself is not normal.

"We've already asked her who sent her." Ji Huai Zhi said.

"Yeah? And what did she say?" She asked sharply.

Knowing that this was still mostly her own fault didn't stop her from hating this Mary with a passion.

Since being reborn she thought she shouldn't be cheated, but it turned out that she actually still planted such a big heel, really ...

"At the moment it's just a preliminary questioning, she refused to say anything, so we locked her up and are going to ask her again when we get to the place." Wyatt shook his head and said.

"Oh remember, make sure you tell me when you ask, I really want to see who hates me so much." She said excitedly.

"Well, I will."

The car lurched and swayed, and she leaned into him, drifting her eyes closed again.

He looked at her worriedly, yesterday's fall and shock had obviously still taken a toll on her body, otherwise she wouldn't be sleepy like this.

Thinking of this he spoke up and urged the driver, "Drive faster!"

"Yes!"

...

It was a tight ride, and I finally made it back to the hospital a couple hours later.

Dr. Bruno was waiting for them at the door as usual, but unlike the time before, there were a number of other white coats around him, all of whom hooted and hollered when they saw them return.

"Are you guys okay?"

"That's great!"

It made Zoey's eyes widen, a little uncomfortable with the other party's so enthusiastic behavior.

What, do so many people already know about her?

Wyatt frowned slightly and gathered her into his arms, looking at them unhappily, "Where is your dean?"

"Coming Coming!"

The Dean with a slightly balding head parted the crowd and walked in, smiling, "It's good to have you all back, come on in, we're all set."

Ready? Ready for what?

Zoey looked at him suspiciously, guessing in her heart what exactly was meant.

The dean finished his sentence and dispersed the crowd, "What are you all doing here? Can't you see they're all uncomfortable? Get back to work!"

She blinked, the strange feeling inside her intensifying.

Wyatt glanced down at her and took a big step towards the inside, holding her with ease, as if he was holding a weightless doll.

"Put me down if you're tired, there's a stretcher or something here." She overly whispered.

And the position was too humiliating, she wasn't some little kid.

Wyatt didn't even look at her when he heard her, and even lifted her upwards and said, "I'm not at ease."

Uneasy? Why?

She paused, suddenly remembering the scene when she was taken, and thought to herself, "He can't be saying that he doesn't feel comfortable being alone, can he?

She asked tentatively, "Those people have been arrested, it's fine."

"That won't do, I need to keep you where I can see you, otherwise what will I do in case there's another accident?" Ji Huai Zhi whispered.
