In the end, it was difficult to suppress the desire in his heart. Wyatt's arms wrapped around Zoey's slender waist, making the two stick closer.
"Once or twice, I can take it that you are ignorant and careless..." As he spoke, Wyatt's palms slowly drifted away from Zoey's proud curves, bringing with it a fiery heat, “But tonight, you are not drunk or confused. You are the one who takes the initiative."
"I don't care what your goal is. You know that I have no way of resisting you, right?"
The last sentence, rather than a rhetorical question, was more like a statement, and more like for himself to hear.
Wyatt's head just happened to be at Zoey's neck. When he spoke, the numbness in his breath made her tremble.
"I just really want to be with you..." Zoey panted lightly, but she did not have the slightest intention of dodging. Instead, she hugged her arms even tighter.
"No matter how many mistakes I have done in the past, whether you still believe me or not, I can do everything I can to make up for it."
Wyatt's hands gradually stopped, and he did not respond to these words. It was as if he was deep in thought, and no expression could be seen on his face.
There was a brief silence between the two, and the originally restless atmosphere gradually quieted down.
"Don't be angry with me, okay?"
Zoey looked at Wyatt pitifully with her big watery eyes. She blinked twice and pouted her small cherry lips. She seemed to pretend to be pitiful but also seemed to be acting cute.
After a while, Wyatt let go of the hands that were wrapped around Zoey's waist and said coldly, "I didn't get angry with you."
"You obviously did. Otherwise, why did you ignore me today?"
Zoey was furious, thinking to herself, "At this point, he is still lying through his teeth. Does he think I am stupid?"
Wyatt did not explain. He only gave Zoey a deep look.
He was indeed not angry with her. When facing her, he had always been helpless, so how could he be angry? If he really had to be angry, he was just angry at himself. He was angry that he could not bear to let her go and that see what the truth was.
Zoey thought that Wyatt's silence was acquiescence, so she continued, "But it doesn't matter. The past is past. As long as you forgive me, we can start over again."
"Can you give me a chance?"
Looking at the little grievance and expectation on the pretty face, Wyatt sighed imperceptibly,
"Fine."
"Yay! That's great!"
Immediately, Zoey cheered. Her happy expression was as pure as a child's. Her pair of watery eyes sparkled as if she had obtained the world's greatest treasure.
Such a bright and beautiful expression made it difficult for Wyatt to shift his gaze away. The corners of his mouth lifted up, forming an angle that could not be seen if a person looked closely.
But after a moment of calm, he raised his hands again and took off the arms Zoey had placed on his neck.
"However, I won't touch you again until I have confirmed your feelings."
An unnatural flush appeared on Zoey's face. She immediately took two steps back and hugged herself,
"What! You don't think that I came to find you and slept in your room just to do that kind of thing with you!"
She thought to herself, "Hmph, man! I've already sent myself to your door. Why are you playing the saint? Fine, the don’t do it. Anyway, I’m not the one that suffered a loss..."
Wyatt didn't hold back. A rare trace of teasing flashed through his eyes, and he chuckled, “Didn't you?"
