Chapter 40 Come with Me

"Of course not!"

Zoey denied it with confidence, her face completely nonchalant as she looked up at him, “I am not that kind of woman!"

"Alright, then can you leave my room now?"

Wyatt looked at her deeply with fiery eyes, but his words were cold.

Zoey's expression changed, her pride suddenly hurt, “Hmph, alright, I'll go. Don't you regret it!"

“Pig!” She thought to herself, "I'll never make the first move again! Humph!"

"Don't!"

Seeing that she was angry, Wyatt felt his heart tighten and he reflexively grabbed her hand.

She turned around and asked with a fake smile, "Is there anything else you need, Mr. Windsor?"

"Are you angry?"

She shook her head, “No, how would I dare to be angry?" Her expression was sincere, and there was no need to mention how serious she was.

Although she said that, how could he not see right through her?

Wyatt thought for a moment and said to her, "It will be our the Windsor’s annual meeting in a few days. You should go with me."

"Really?" Zoey’s eyes lit up.

As expected, Wyatt knew her very well and knew what she liked the most right now.

Of course, she would not let go of any opportunity to show off their affection for each other.

"Really. Just tell Harvey what clothes and jewelry you want. You don't have to worry about anything else."

Wyatt thought to himself, "She won't be angry now, right?"

Unexpectedly, she rolled her eyes and suddenly went forward to wrap her arms around his neck in a playful, intimate way. She even blew a breath into his ears.

"No, I want to buy it myself. Will you accompany me?"

Wyatt's body stiffened. Though his rational mind held firm, he was still unable to resist her charm completely.

Zoey observed his expression, noticing that his face was stiff. Her heart sunk a little. She thought to herself, "Sure enough, still didn’t fully trust her, did he?"

She sighed softly in her heart and released his hands. She said, "I get it. You're too busy. I'll go myself then."

With that, she turned around and pushed open the door to leave, not even sparing him a glance.

But she miss how Wyatt's fingers twitched as if he wanted to hold her back, but in the end, he didn't do anything...

When Zoey returned to her room, she smashed the pillow hard, trying to calm herself down.

"This Wyatt! Hmph!” she fumed, “What kind of man doesn’t take what’s given directly to him? Is he still a man? The annual meeting? I won't go, I won’t!"

However, even though she said it seriously, the truth was that she still had to attend the annual meeting.

She had been married to him for several years, and their son was already four years old. Back then, she had grown distant from Wyatt because of those two bitches. The number of times they had appeared together could be counted on one hand. People outside might not even know of her existence as Mrs. Windsor!

She thought to herself, "That couldn’t be allowed!"

She had to properly stake her claim, and at the same time, make sure those little temptresses retreat!

"Therefore, her appearance at this year's annual meeting had to be flawless!" She thought to herself.

It was just that she had already talked big just now. She now had to figure out the dress and jewelry on her own – that would be a bit difficult for her to handle it alone...

Suddenly, her eyes lit up.

"I got it!"

After a few days, her foot injury was completely healed. Because she didn't need to send Vanny to school, she hurriedly ate breakfast and went straight to her destination.

It was the city’s largest jewelry street. It was a popular shopping spot for wealthy ladies, boasting everything from international luxury brands to local boutique labels.

She and Vivian met at the street corner.

As soon as they met, Vivian laughed at her, “Oh, now you are in a hurry? What were you doing before all this?"
