"I wouldn't dare. That is your Windsor’s' s property. I have no part in it." Zoey smiled gently, though her fingers stayed pressed against his chest. Her tone took on a playful, almost coquettish quality.
She was determined to solidify her position today to avoid those unwanted suitors daring to cause her any trouble...
Suddenly, her heart stirred. There seemed to be an unfriendly gaze from the group, emitting deep hostility.
She traced the gaze back and smiled.
Ah, it was her...
"What nonsense are you saying? Mine are also yours." Wyatt, thking she was still angry as she said this, frowned and glanced at Miss Quill, “Go tell your father he doesn't need to come next time."
"Also, our cooperation has been canceled."
"What?" Miss Quill was shocked, "No, no, you, you can't do this. I was wrong. I shouldn't have laid a hand on your wife..."
"She laid hands on you?" Wyatt ignored most of her pleas but keenly picked up on the mention of Zoey. He glanced at her and said to the security manager, who had rushed over with a nervous look, "Take her out."
"Yes, sir!"
The security manager gestured, and his men came up immediately. They dragged the constantly pleading Miss Quill and the security guard out.
"Finally, some peace." Zoey shook her head.
"Still angry? If you are still angry, I will make sure the Quill family goes bankrupt." Wyatt said seriously.
How could Zoey still be angry? When she saw Miss Quill crying with tears on her face, she was not angry anymore.
"No need. You made me look like a villain. But I am the innocent one, right?"
Though, in truth, she was not all that pure. After all, she could have revealed her identity from the start – clearly she wanted to make things difficult for them.
Wyatt nodded in agreement, “Of course, you are innocent. They are ignorant. Let's not talk about them. Let's go. I'll take you to rest."
With that, he tried to pull her away.
Suddenly, an old man separated the crowd, weating profusely, and ran up to them. Seeing Wyatt, he apologized, "I'm sorry, Mr. Windsor. I'm sorry. It was the fault of my daughter. Please forgive me for offending your wife..."
So he was from the Quill family. He had only heard the news until now – how slow.
Zoey glanced at him and smiled gently, “I'm fine. As she is young, it's understandable that she doesn't know the manner..."
The old man nodded repeatedly, “Yes, yes, she is too ignorant. When I go back, I will teach her well. Mr. Windsor, can you..."
"Discuss this with my assistant." Wyatt cut him off coldly, having no patience for the Quill family. He didn’t even want to waste more words on him.
However, the old man grabbed him and didn't let him go. He even found an acquaintance of Wyatt to help plead his case.
Wyatt had no choice but to deal with it for a while.
Zoey shrugged, “Go ahead. I don't think any people dare trouble me now."
After what had happened with the ignorant Miss Quill, she felt that even if someone hadn’t known who she was before, they certainly did now. No one would be foolish enough to poke the tiger again.
After all, everyone saw how Wyatt protected her.
After Wyatt left, she felt tired and decided to find a place to sit, but soon someone came to her again.
It was an old acquaintance.
"Zoey!"
The voice was familiar and crisp, with a kind of flattery and sweetness. Zoey immediately frowned as she put the cup on the table. Sure enough, she came.
